- Marina Vorozhtsova and Sviatoslav Richter playing the first movement of Prokofiev's Flute Sonata, op. 94, live at the Pushkin Museum for the December Nights on 1 December 1984. Skip to 01:54 for the start. Richter gave the premiere of this work back in 1943 with Nikolai Kharkovsky. The other movements were not broadcast.

Потрясающе,я тоже ,как и Рихтер всегда считала, что флейтовая версия сонаты Прокофьева лучше.
Great. Though it reminds me of the unsavoury revolutionary and/or adolescent characters in Dostoevsky's novels (eg in 'Idiot' or even 'Besy'). Thanks, ADGO!

Hi, I would like to reference this for a project and wondered if you had any other information on the broadcast aside from the information given above?
It was a broadcast which documented the '84 December Nights. If you check my channel for other 1984 videos at this festival (with Gutman, and the Shostakovich trio with Kagan) they were in the same doc.
