- Explosive characters and weapons OP. Went ahead and made my character use melee weapons as well for close quarters just to keep the Legion nostalgia factor. The only mod used in this video is Project Nevada.

God... I'm pro NCR on most playthrough's but you made them your bitch. And it actually looks more fun during the final battle with Ceasars Legion.
Legate is better than Lee Oliver as a commander. Though I'm on neither side, I would rather have Legate be leading my troops

In this gameplay yes
It's actually more fun to fight the Legion than the NCR. The whole battle against General Oliver just looks like a mook boss fight, whereas if you fight against the Legion, they throw a dozen Centurions at you along with Lanius. Lanius is a real fight, whereas Oliver is more like a rat in the maze for you to squish.
I mean like, that's what the legion ending is about. NCR is pretty much fugged. It's being overrun by the Legion their own troopers are no much for the courier and the soldiers of the legion. Two things that are left for the NCR - revel in pride and desperation.
@@decliche1286 There's a reason why there's so much for an NCR Courier to do-from helping troopers to assuaging the leader of the Rangers that he doesn't have to fake news reports to get the NCR to retreat from the Mojave-the NCR is broken as fuck. Sure, it makes one feel heroic to be the savior of the NCR, but the fact that one mailman and his/her entourage can practically save the NCR in so many situations goes to show how broken they are. Whereas aside from the main quest, the Legion doesn't have much use for the player militarily. Outside of a few specialist tasks, the Legion has nothing for you to do-mostly because they've already taken care of everything and are just waiting for things to fall into place.

@@HolyknightVader999 exactly. All the legion side quests are being carried out during the battle if you haven't done them. You can hear it on the Emergency radio. The legion really has no use for the courier. They could probably send someone into that Vault for the Autodoc components or kidnapp a doctor too to save Caesar.

All factions can end up backing any major faction *except brotherhood with legion* so I would say non military assets would be civilian or militia groups (Westside militia etc)
Where is the tardis? I don't see the doctor. If he did come it's likely he would support the NCR or Vegas due to technology .

legion isnt actualy much worse,the only real problem i have witrh them is slavery,you can say there abit brutal and shure but on the ncr side they are just are brutal, in the lower ranks there kind of nice but at the top they are just as brutal and non caring as the legion is,they stil tell you to kill house and kill the brotherhood they just want to win and use you to do so.
the legion soldiers have it rouf oke il admit that but if you listen to cass and some other people you wil learn that the legion is actualy very good for its people and protect there caravans real wel where the ncr is often abit of a blundering mess.

Lucky for the legion fallout isn't real life because more than likely when the legion would try and run up with their little roman armor and swords, hammers, and spears they would just get shot to death and look like dumbasses
The legion uses guns too good sir. They're just not completely reliant on them as they incorporate more unarmed and melee weapons to facilitate their needs considering most wastelanders won't be heavily armed. It makes the legion more flexible since it costs less to arm and supply them. It's just wasteful to blow .50 cal rounds on wasteland plebs. Also when you compare the gear of different tier legion soldiers vs. ncr soldiers they're actually fairly comparable. Sure base ncr grunt armor covers more skin but in the end its just clothing with some minimal leather armor which wouldn't really protect from anything aside from scratches. As for the elite soldiers I'd almost want to say realistically the centurion armor would offer a little more protection than ranger veteran armor. If you actually look closely at the ranger armor it only protects the head, chest, and back leaving the upper arms, legs, and waist completely exposed aside from some clothing. Meanwhile the centurion armor covers everything aside from the face, thighs, one arm, and a bit of the sides. In the end, man for man an ncr soldier is probably more effective than a legionary based on a number of factors but a legionary is likely more efficient. According to the game though the legion far outnumber the ncr so a slight effectiveness advantage wouldn't have been enough for the ncr. Tbh though both comments are pointless since none of this is real.

+Rockstar2016 According to the game files, Legion soldiers have more health but crappy damage resistance where as the NCR has excellent damage resistance and crappy health. Its awesome that the game devs incorporated the faction differences in the NPCS.
Rhsims the guys at Obsidian knew what the fuck they were doing. I hope Bethesda didn't soley work on fallout 4 Bethesda is grat and all but they don't seem as close to the roots of fallout as the Obsidian team. Fun fact: Obsidian has people who worked on the the original fallout.
+Eric Barnett II I'll be honest I was never sold on the whole "return to its roots" thing that a lot of the self declared old school Fallout fans are after and prefer about New Vegas. The old Fallouts were good but they were also turn based rpg's with a very different feel, even compared to New Vegas. I prefer the new route Bethesda took with the franchise vs the old. I prefer a survival based rpg vs a faction based one, especially when the factions are poorly implimented and one sided on a macro level.

Not sure if you'll reply but I see you're using Project Nevada and was wondering how did you make your character soo resistant to gunfire? With Project nevada I thought it increased damage a lot?
***** Idk I dont remember doing anything special. I just made my character a beefcake by taking all the dt related perks and what not. Also the armor I'm wearing has a high dt.

It's a option on the Lonesome Road DLC. You turn the nukes towards the legion and you go to the nuked area and there is a legion member wearing it. kill him and it's yours, I suggest you do this first before getting the mark of Caesar

You need luck and intelligence close to max for best skill points, get implants early as possible, make sure to take educated for extra skill points (And arguably skilled trait) dish you other points fairly evenly but ignore charisma, and beat in mind equipment for your special, try and use every learnable perk and do things for benefits (e.g. confirmed bachelor causes more damage against male npcs, finesse and better criticals, and perks like Lord death) get high quality gear by exploring (dlc will have you armed for anything)

That perk is useless if you know how to plan long term.
But in the long run you get an extra 92 skill points if you get it at level 4
But those extra skill points become worthless and unused in the late game if you plan accordingly and gather skill books. Getting 100 in every skill is very easy without that perk.
Yeah I guess that works but the mass collection of all skill books will take some time. But I see where you're going with that. I just like doing things quick. But you have some good reasoning.
