- Explosive characters and weapons OP. Went ahead and made my character use melee weapons as well for close quarters just to keep the Legion nostalgia factor. The armor is not a mod, its part of the Lonesome Road DLC and is called the Armor of the 87th Tribe. Before you ask the only mod that was used in this video was Project Nevada.

Legate Lanius is the only character in this game that actually intimidates me. Fighting against him when i was sided with NCR was a pain, and his voice also sends chills down my spine. lol

I would assume you got the armor early game, by nuking the legion, then going to the fort with the mark of Caesar and getting pardoned for your past crimes against them

TheBangooman The battle is most fun with the Legion because you're assaulting rather than defending. Plus the final battle against Oliver and his Ranger Vets was epic.

You've inspired me to build an explosives character
I'm in the middle of an explosives character right now. It's hard to start out, but later on its godly.
+MCZerky I'm in a gun Melee explosive and I'm godlike
Add a secondary specialization like Unarmed or melee and it becomes absurdly fun. Pepper them with explosives from afar, and when it's point blank you switch to unarmed/melee. Unarmed is my favorite build in NV, I can't recommend it enough, especially as a supplement for situations where explosives are not ideal. Also helps conserve explosive ammo.

I honestly pictured the battle of hoover damn as a pitched battle on top of the dam with wave after wave of combatants smashing into each other on top of the dam
I think this is how the battle should have been according to the lore, but it was impossible to do in the game
a remake with today's hardware could totally pull that off

Most of the dams vitals are inside the dam itself. The legion commander even predicts most the fighting will be inside

You can tell the remnants to assist either side but you can still help the opposite side

This is quite honestly the most badass fight I have seen in Fallout New Vegas.
My thirst for blood and wrong caused is impelling me to side with the Legion.

It is actually very fun to side with the Legion. You get to express your base impulses to destroy and kill when you side with them and it's very amusing. The final battle is great fun.

I know this is old, but that Mask is the ugliest one of the Marked Men's. Why not just the Lanius copy and be a slightly recolored Legate?
+Graviton Forfeit Difference of opinion I guess. I actually like the mask I used. Besides I didn't want to be a 100% generic Lanius reskin. I wanted my character to have its own pro legion personality. That's why I used the mask I did and not the Lanius copy, also why I used the unique super sledge instead of the unique bumper sword from the Lonesome Road DLC.
The Blade of the West is not actually a version of the bumper sword nor is it unique, though similar in appearance you can not repair The Blade of the West with a bumper sword but only other bumper swords
I would recommend a mod called Lonesome Road Helmets. It gives the Scorched Sierra Power Helmet and a custom Helmet of the 87th Tribe.

I would play with Caesars legion if the map went had at least slightly east to have some towns governed by Caesars legion. With just the camp, it feels like im just a petty raider
it got cut due to the short development time obsidian was given. East of the Colorado was all supposed to be legion land instead of just Deathclaw promontory

Legion is the best faction
They seem pretty cool, but i didnt play with them since they have no towns of thier own (actual towns, not camps) in New Vegas. If they had made tge map expand into Arizona further, then maybe but with the way the game is Vanilla, I feel like a petty raider.

The original name,(not from the game, but the Roman times) was actually pronounced Ceaser, not Kaisar.
it's KAY as in day, followed by SAR as in car. any Latin word with "ae" is pronounced that way. Latin doesn't have multiple pronunciations that's not a thing

babysit every NCR base the moment you get there. they’re stretched too thin. without your help the legion assassinates the president, overruns camp forlorn hope and camp golf, blows up the camp McCarran monorail, and gas the strip and a hundred other things i can’t think of rn. the NCR is demoralized and beaten before you get there and the only way they win the battle of hoover dam is with the courier

The only part of NV was disappointing - the last battle. Wish they would make a great fight, not just some groups of enemies appears from nowhere to be killed. Like 20 ppl vs 20 ppl at one time would be pretty good.
They actually did intend that, but there major memory issues that forced them to tone it down. In fact, the lag issues on console on release even forced them to further patch things out. Still sucks that they had to though.

It would be so cool if someone made a mod where it sets you back to 2277 during the first battle of Hoover Dam and there would be many outcomes to how you finish it (with the NCR being canon) and outcomes where you can die such as being a demolitionist and having to go into Boulder City and destroy it with you being the sacrifice or even have a point where you face Joshua Graham only for him to flee at a certain point

Joseph Kal-El Tuazon Yeah, Fallout 4 changed things up for sure, new features although they sadly don't have a fraction of the amount of great dialouge you could have and the amount of wild card factions like the boomers and the khans, consider them like a version of Fallout 4's gunners that you have the option to get on your side, also the faction armour thing was nice in New Vegas.
the dialogue system in 4 is not as good as it was in New Vegas. but the actual dialogue I found better in 4.

It's Red Glare from Lonesome Road. It's a nice weapon and it sells for plenty, and I mean PLENTY of caps, and what's more is that some Marked Men carry them.

What i hate about fallout new vegas/3 is that once you finish the game you cant continue on its only replaying the hoover dam or go from a save before the mission, or its me being an idiot not knowing what to do
They were going to continue the game after the battle of hoover damn but Bethesda made Obsidian Rush the game.
I've always either gone independent or NCR But after hearing Cesaers claim about how the NCR is failing, it was really damn convincing. Though saying that, if you go the speech option going against the legion it's a good case against the legate

No, the Legion is good, but the Stormcloaks are just awful. They have no future plans for Skyrim and once they destroy the Imperials, they are gonna have to fund lots and lots of repairs throughout Skyrim. Which will just make Skyrim bankrupt. The Imperials though, they have set plans for Skyrim and are the only true faction that actually brings order and democracy to Skyrim. Thus, the Imperials are a better faction to join in Skyrim.
