Hello Lilly.... I am just a simple Christian believer. Like you, I get "confused" by some doctrines in Christianity. I was raised Catholic and I still have no problem with many Catholic traditions. Do you mind if I ask: what are you confused about? I'm confused regarding some of the ideas/beliefs pertaining to Jesus' identity. I'm trying to better understand Jesus' identity through the phrases of "son of man" and "Son of God" and "Lord" and "Messiah." I do believe that God sent Jesus to earth in human form and that Jesus was crucified for us. But it is still a big mystery to me. So I try to listen to various scholars, both Islamic and Christian. I think that if God created us, then He certainly must understand our doubts. Don't you think so? Even the apostles who followed Jesus had doubts. But Jesus never abandoned them. It seems like we all have a different journey in our quest to find truth, especially the Truth about God. And the more I learn on that journey, the less I know ! I like your honesty. And the weird thing is... the person said to me "Maybe I should get a Bible." And I replied back, "Maybe I should get a Quran" ! *15 Astonishing facts About Islam That you Really don't know !* *1)* *“Islam” means “surrender” or “submission”* . “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. I suggest you compare the Quran and the Bible. But this I will say to you right away, you'll never understand the plot of the Quran right on the 1st page. But the bible is easy to understand from the beginning.

Moses was mentioned by name "Musa" موسى a total of : 136 times!!! Starting From Surah 2 Al-Baqarah Verse (51) وَإِذْ وَٰعَدْنَا مُوسَىٰٓ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةًۭ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمْ ظَـٰلِمُونَ And [recall] when We made an appointment with Moses for forty nights. Then you took [for worship] the calf after him, while you were wrongdoers. Final mention in Surah 87 Al-A'la Verse (19) صُحُفِ. إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ. وَمُوسَىٰ The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.

Someone scholarly should comment on this but I have observed that if you study the Prophets given books they all track the same methodology. Abraham has a Meccan-equivalent phase followed by Hijra-equivalent phase. He might have had a medina-equivalent phase too I'm not sure of his life after Hijrah. I think he had a double Hijrah (from Iraq and from Egypt) until he re-established the first House of Allah. He might have even established both the first Houses of Allah (Kabba + Aqsa) one for each of his lineage. Moses has a Meccan-equivalent phase but his people declined their Badar-equivalent. Taloot+David then picked it up from Badar-equivalent to establishing Khilafa that lasted till Sulaiman but the Ummah then divided into sectarian groups and decided ever since. Jesus then came to revive the broken Ummah in a Meccan-equivalent manner but could not get enough support to get to Hijra-equivalent phase. Finally in life of Prophet Muhammad we see a complete Prophetic picture with all the phases in 1 lifetime. Allah knows Best.
Where is the evidence that Abraham actually existed? Or Noah, Moses, Jonah, Adam and Eve? There is also no evidence of the Exodus. There certainly wasn't evidence of Abraham building any kabaa, let alone the one in Mecca. It appears eminently possible that Muhammed and the Sahaba simply created a new fictional history for the pagan Kabaa in order to link it to his new religion. Once we dive into religions, the narratives start to break down.
@@dormichelarie87 as I mentioned before, Abraham was a Muslim and Muslims are discouraged from leaving behind statues, portraits, memorabilia. What they leave behind are followers (Bani Israel + Bani Ismaeel), teachings, scriptures and Sunnah.

Completely neutral with our intellectual cup the right side up, because if it was upside down, nothing, no matter how profound, will go into the intellectual cup. Question: Did you ever question yourself that the Gospels by Mark, Luke, Matthew, and John have no last names? In court or in your passport or driving license, do you not have your last name? How valid is a document without any last name to give it validity? Second: Jesus spoke Aramaic. The name for God in Aramaic is Elah. Please look it up. Muslims say Allah. Third: Did the mother of Jesus or Jesus himself claim he is god or the son of god? Fourth: Muslims love Jesus and Mother Mary more than lip-service Christians. Why? Muslims keep a beard and they prostrate in praying to One God Almighty as Jesus did. Muslim women wear a head-cover called hijab like Mother Mary. They do not eat pork like just like Mother Mary or Jesus. Fifth: If Christians claim that you will only be saved if you believe in Jesus, them what about other prophets like Moses and Abraham and Jacob and Job, and other good people before Jesus was born? Will they go to hell? Certainly not. Bible in its original form must have been profound. But it has been tampered with, unfortunately. Be serious, because this is your life in the hereafter. You must study the Last Testament: the Quran. If you find it good, accept it. Otherwise reject it. You owe your whole life and your whole afterlife to yourself. At least that much. The point that the Qu 'ran is accurate beyond reason is fascinating. Regarding the tradition of sensationalized accounts reminds me of scholarship regarding Norse sagas as sensational tenth century stories of exploration confirmed by archeology.

the idea that Muhammad pbuh mentioned 4 times by name and that Moses or Jesus, were rmentioned more, even other prophets, peace be upon them all, were mentioned more is not accurate, Allah speak to Muhammad, pbuh, in second person too.. if you count that there are a lot of mention of our Prophet. He was referred to by Al rasul, nabi, etc.. in second person.
So what I learned is the Quran has less information and amazing accuracy for historical events without the human bias of sensationalism. In other words, the Quran uses *less* words to derive *higher* accurate conclusions when compared to the Bible. Absolutely amazing.
Torah is even more persise with its language and words because of the Hebrew language, the words it uses and it's divine origin. Its so unique that it's poor copies called koran and bible dont come close to it

Different nations, different tribes and different cultures...how did islam end up with atories of Hebrews? By adopting information from the hebrews. As for Hebrew and Arabic both semitic languages doesnt change the fact that this person is not using the Hebrew text. If you trying to disprove ot, at least have the respect to use the original text and not some translation. As someone who reads the Torah in the original language, translation in to English or any other language, the meaning is lost completely. Hebrew is such a language that one nikuda or one vowel changes the complete meaning of the word and sentence. So many so called islamic scholars are trying to challenge the Torah on daily bases but not a single one of them have the most basic respect to at least read the Torah first. Today's islam is not the islam of the golden age where you can point at a islamic scholar and say this man is a man of wisdom. Now its a collection of politically motivated zealouts who are arrogant and ignorant. Christianity and islam grew out of Judaism. There is no dispute that an illiterate idol worshipping warlord came in contact with the yahud and learned the Torah from them before who claimed to be a prophet. There is a reason why koran starts of friendly towards so called people of the book and then turns more hostile after Jews refused to recognize him as a prophet. This is another reason for islamic ignorance. Instead of showing hostility to the jews for that, they should rather read the Torah and its guidelines how to identify a prophet and Muhamad does not qualify in so many ways. But stay with your ignorance because I can go on and on with such cases. People who claim they came to replace us are not even smart enough to properly present their case. Islam is a poor copy of Judaism and koran is a poor copy of the Torah. Koran was written after muhamad died and it is arrogance to claim is divine and use it to disprove another book which it copied.

Excellent presentation and I loved the very end when you gave the comparison about God's message from the Bibilical to the Quranic perspective! As far as I understand HAMAN is a title, which Dr. Fatoohi mentions, but I believe the actual name of that person is Bakenkhonsu who was a priest-architect. He served a god or goddess (I don't know) named Amun and that was popular around the New Kingdom period. I know his name is mentioned in the Egyptian Museum of Munich. The phrase that Bakenkhonsu uses to refer to himself is the "High Priest of Amun" or in the hieroglyphic words something like "ham nata tipiy amana". "ham" means servant and "amana" meaning Amun, so perhaps the Arabized version of this is simply "Haman".

One regular commentator asked me to make short comments, limited to one issue (what does it mean?), otherwise he would not response. Is this correct, or he is just lazy or does not know how to response. Most of the muslim commentators do not want to engage in a serious conversation, and when it tuns bad they look for any excuse for stopping. I feel that many of the apologetics follow just blind faith - there is no other possibility left in islam by the books. Dear Paul, thank you so much for your videos and the amazing guests you bring on. If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to maybe avoid giving a conclusion in the title, such as "Miraculous Qur'an", rather let the viewer arrive at that conclusion themselves if they wish. To use that title, you set up the viewer in a critical frame of mind already and especially when the evidence (even though I found it quite interesting and significant) is overall circumstantial and inconclusive. There's already so much sensationalism and exaggeration around us already in all forms of media, which makes it quite frustrating for someone who's just trying to find truth and reasonable discourse. I just wanted to make that suggestion and it's a minor point in the end. Thank you again!

The 4 places I referred to are, 3 words before YASBAHUN verse 33 surah Al ambiyaa, the whole chapter of At Kautsar, the index itself & the synergies in the numbers of verses. IF MUHAMMAD SAW OR ANYONE WANT TO MAKE THE QURAN THEMSELVES, EITHER THEY HAVE ACCESS TO TIME MACHINE OR DIVINE HELP.
In my view, the time period when the story of Musa AS is during the New Kingdom period of the 18th Dynasty which is also called the Thutmosid Dynasty. The Old Testament in 1 Kings 6:1 gives a date of the exodus which reads In the four hundred and eightieth[a] year after the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the temple of the Lord. Generally Bible scholars agree that the building of Solomon’s temple is around 960BC. 480 lunar years is equivalent to 465 Gregorian solar year which makes the dating of the exodus to 1425BC. Based on the Shaw Egyptian timeline, which is the more accurate and accepted timeline amongst Egyptologist, this is exactly the year of the demise of Thutmose iii, the warrior king of Egypt known as the Napoleon of Egypt. Nobody knows how this pharaoh died despite him being very famous and extremely powerful and violent. I can’t imagine Ramses ii who died at the ripe old age of 90 chasing after Musa across the Sinai desert and crossing the Red Sea. But it is entirely plausible that Thutmose iii who died at the prime age of 54 to have chased after Musa and died in the Red Sea. Hence in my view, pharaoh of the exodus is most likely Thutmose iii and the foster mother of Musa AS is most likely Hatshepsut, who was the daughter of one pharaoh, Thutmose I and the wife of another pharaoh Thutmose ii. Hatshepsut and Thutmose ii were siblings with Hatshepsut being the daughter of Thutmose I through his royal wife, Ahmose and Thutmose ii the son of Thutmose I through another wife, Mutnofret. They got married at a young age around 14 or 15 upon the death of their father Thutmose I. The incident of the rescue of Musa happened during the reign of Thutmose ii when Hatshepsut was queen. Based on the Quran the incident when Musa was recovered from the Nile is during the period of the reign of Thutmose ii when Hatshepsut was queen. She didn’t have a male heir and only had one daughter Neferure and having adopted Musa even though he was an Israelite it would have brought tremendous joy to her. The Bible calls the person who rescued Musa from the river as the daughter of pharaoh but the Quran calls her the queen of pharaoh. In the case of Hatshepsut she is both and the Quran points to the time when the incident happened which is when she was the queen of Thutmose ii after the death of her father Thutmose I. Hatshepsut’s husband Thutmose ii died young at the age of 30 and he had another son from another wife but the son was an infant at that time about 3 years old. This son would later grow up to be come Thutmose iii. Both Thutmose iii and Musa would have grown together in the royal household of pharaoh and would have known each other very well with Musa being older than Thutmose iii by many years, at least 10 years In trying to find Musa in the royal court of ancient Egypt, there is an interesting character in the court of Hatshepsut. His name was Senenmut which literally mean mother’s brother and in my view he is the likely candidate for Musa in household of pharaoh. He was a commoner who suddenly appeared to hold high office in the court of Hatshepsut. Such was his importance in the court of Hatshepsut that he was the main advisor, builder, architect, military head and many more. Two unused tombs were built for him, one in the valley of the kings near the tomb built for Hatshepsut and another one just outside the valley of the Kings. His parents and siblings were also accorded high treatment despite being commoners and he had three brothers and two sisters. The interesting thing is that he disappeared from the court of Hatshepsut in 1464BC in the 19th year of her reign 22 year reign. Perhaps this is when the incident where Musa had killed the Egyptian and thereafter later on fled to Madyan. Shortly after this the reign of Hatshepsut also came to an end and perhaps after this occurred the incident with the hairdresser and subsequent murder of Asiya / Hatshepsut in the hands of Thutmose iii. As a footnote late into the reign of Thutmose iii and that of his son Amenhotep ii, all traces of Hatshepsut was chiselled out in an attempt to erase entirely her existence from Egyptian records. Another interesting fact mentioned in the Quran which has not been answered satisfactorily is Haman. This is until recently the view of McAuliffe's Encyclopaedia of the Qurʾān among other sources relates "Haman" to be the Arabized form of "Ha-Amana,"[10] a title which roughly translates to incarnate of (the God) Amun or King of Amun and was utilized by the high priest. This cult of the priesthood of Amun only came into existence in the early 18 dynasty and was not present or used in any significant way before. I think the interpretation that Haman refers to this priesthood class rather than a specific person is more accurate and palatable description of that name mentioned in the Quran. Wallualam. This is just a theory.
Fascinating talk. If your goal is to increase our knowledge you Sir are an astounding success. Not sure I agree with all the analysis like the time Moses spent in Egypt on his return and meaning of “Awtad” (often translated as pegs). If the other place “Awtad” are mentioned in the Quran, they refer to mountains then, the most similar shape we would find in Egypt would be the Pyramids. The reference to Pharaoh as the one with the “Awtad” makes a lot of sense as they are the most prominent man-made landmark in his land and that’s worth mentioning when describing him to a foriegn audience who know nothing about the Pyramids let alone lessor structures such as temples etc.
This presentation is impressive. But I think that Dr Fatoohy is a Hadith Rejector (in all of his presentations he will never quote a single hadith) ... Any of the dates of Moses or his age cannot be accepted uess the Prophet said it so. Muslims should be very careful about him. He a caliph of a weird Sufi Tariqa that doesnt know or understand the difference between Authentic Hadith and the Shia's believe of supposed 12th infallible Imams who have almost the same knowledge as Allah (Naudhu Billah). That is why he will never quote even a single hadeeth. He is a Sufi mystic (who only wants to stay in his comfort zone and not be an intellectual who can critically see and analyse other Islamic point of views or whether only his particular sect (mystic Sufi Tariqa)is the only one that is on the correct path ...even though he is an arab native and can study and learn about the other Muslim traditions) and I dont even know whether he believes that Muhammed is the Servent and Messenger of Allah and that his teachings are part of the Religion of Islam. At least he is better than christians who believe in a God-Man amd Gospels whose authors are unknown ... I pray that Allah Guides him and us amd frees him from his delusion of being a Caliph of this weird Sufi Tariqa...

Hello The beginning postulate is wrong. The exodus didn't took place from ancient Egypt but from Misr. Most of the people will not understand the previous sentence because they believe and they learn that Misr in the Bible and the Qur'an is the ancient Egypt and the main reason is because a part of the actual Egypt is named Misr in Arabic language a little bit before the middle age but it was not the case before. If you arrive until this point of reading is totally natural to feel confused. But no worries make your own research and inchALLAH you will discover the truth. Hello Lilly.... I am just a simple Christian believer. Like you, I get "confused" by some doctrines in Christianity. I was raised Catholic and I still have no problem with many Catholic traditions.
Do you mind if I ask: what are you confused about? I'm confused regarding some of the ideas/beliefs pertaining to Jesus' identity. I'm trying to better understand Jesus' identity through the phrases of "son of man" and "Son of God" and "Lord" and "Messiah." I do believe that God sent Jesus to earth in human form and that Jesus was crucified for us. But it is still a big mystery to me.
So I try to listen to various scholars, both Islamic and Christian. I think that if God created us, then He certainly must understand our doubts. Don't you think so? Even the apostles who followed Jesus had doubts. But Jesus never abandoned them.
It seems like we all have a different journey in our quest to find truth, especially the Truth about God. And the more I learn on that journey, the less I know !

And the weird thing is... the person said to me "Maybe I should get a Bible." And I replied back, "Maybe I should get a Quran" !

*15 Astonishing facts About Islam That you Really don't know !*
*1)* *“Islam” means “surrender” or “submission”* . “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”.
*2)* *“Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”.* By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will. In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them.
*3)* *Islam is not a new religion or cult.* It is a universal way of life and civilization. *Again, Islam is not a new religion,* rather it is the same message preached by all earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all). But God’s final message to mankind was revealed to the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a revival of lost teachings of previous prophets and as a reconfirmation of the eternal message. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve.
*4)* *There are five pillars of practice in Islam.* These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able.
*5)* *There are six articles of faith in Islam.* These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny.
*6)* *Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah”* which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. Someone scholarly should comment on this but I have observed that if you study the Prophets given books they all track the same methodology.
Abraham has a Meccan-equivalent phase followed by Hijra-equivalent phase. He might have had a medina-equivalent phase too I'm not sure of his life after Hijrah. I think he had a double Hijrah (from Iraq and from Egypt) until he re-established the first House of Allah. He might have even established both the first Houses of Allah (Kabba + Aqsa) one for each of his lineage.
Moses has a Meccan-equivalent phase but his people declined their Badar-equivalent.
Taloot+David then picked it up from Badar-equivalent to establishing Khilafa that lasted till Sulaiman but the Ummah then divided into sectarian groups and decided ever since.
Jesus then came to revive the broken Ummah in a Meccan-equivalent manner but could not get enough support to get to Hijra-equivalent phase.
Finally in life of Prophet Muhammad we see a complete Prophetic picture with all the phases in 1 lifetime.

Where is the evidence that Abraham actually existed? Or Noah, Moses, Jonah, Adam and Eve? There is also no evidence of the Exodus.
There certainly wasn't evidence of Abraham building any kabaa, let alone the one in Mecca. It appears eminently possible that Muhammed and the Sahaba simply created a new fictional history for the pagan Kabaa in order to link it to his new religion. Once we dive into religions, the narratives start to break down.

Question: Did you ever question yourself that the Gospels by Mark, Luke, Matthew, and John have no last names? In court or in your passport or driving license, do you not have your last name? How valid is a document without any last name to give it validity? Second: Jesus spoke Aramaic. The name for God in Aramaic is Elah. Please look it up. Muslims say Allah. Third: Did the mother of Jesus or Jesus himself claim he is god or the son of god? Fourth: Muslims love Jesus and Mother Mary more than lip-service Christians. Why? Muslims keep a beard and they prostrate in praying to One God Almighty as Jesus did. Muslim women wear a head-cover called hijab like Mother Mary. They do not eat pork like just like Mother Mary or Jesus. The point that the Qu 'ran is accurate beyond reason is fascinating. Regarding the tradition of sensationalized accounts reminds me of scholarship regarding Norse sagas as sensational tenth century stories of exploration confirmed by archeology.

the idea that Muhammad pbuh mentioned 4 times by name and that Moses or Jesus, were rmentioned more, even other prophets, peace be upon them all, were mentioned more is not accurate, Allah speak to Muhammad, pbuh, in second person too.. if you count that there are a lot of mention of our Prophet. He was referred to by Al rasul, nabi, etc.. in second person.
If you count in that manner Musa AS is mentioned even more. It's not a competitiin akhi.

As for Hebrew and Arabic both semitic languages doesnt change the fact that this person is not using the Hebrew text. If you trying to disprove ot, at least have the respect to use the original text and not some translation. As someone who reads the Torah in the original language, translation in to English or any other language, the meaning is lost completely. Hebrew is such a language that one nikuda or one vowel changes the complete meaning of the word and sentence. So many so called islamic scholars are trying to challenge the Torah on daily bases but not a single one of them have the most basic respect to at least read the Torah first. Today's islam is not the islam of the golden age where you can point at a islamic scholar and say this man is a man of wisdom. Now its a collection of politically motivated zealouts who are arrogant and ignorant.
Christianity and islam grew out of Judaism. There is no dispute that an illiterate idol worshipping warlord came in contact with the yahud and learned the Torah from them before who claimed to be a prophet. There is a reason why koran starts of friendly towards so called people of the book and then turns more hostile after Jews refused to recognize him as a prophet. This is another reason for islamic ignorance. Instead of showing hostility to the jews for that, they should rather read the Torah and its guidelines how to identify a prophet and Muhamad does not qualify in so many ways. But stay with your ignorance because I can go on and on with such cases. People who claim they came to replace us are not even smart enough to properly present their case.
Islam is a poor copy of Judaism and koran is a poor copy of the Torah. Koran was written after muhamad died and it is arrogance to claim is divine and use it to disprove another book which it copied.

There are clear distinctions between for example between the Islamic story of Solomon and the Jewish one.

As far as I understand HAMAN is a title, which Dr. Fatoohi mentions, but I believe the actual name of that person is Bakenkhonsu who was a priest-architect. He served a god or goddess (I don't know) named Amun and that was popular around the New Kingdom period. I know his name is mentioned in the Egyptian Museum of Munich.
The phrase that Bakenkhonsu uses to refer to himself is the "High Priest of Amun" or in the hieroglyphic words something like "ham nata tipiy amana".
"ham" means servant and "amana" meaning Amun, so perhaps the Arabized version of this is simply "Haman".

I don’t know about this video I haven’t watched it yet, but I watched your last video with dr Fatoohi and I just didn’t like it, he got his own views, his views does not represent the ijmaa’ of sunny scholars, he was trying to prove his own views, things he wanted to be true; and in that.. he went too far,he made no sense at all.
Paul, the guests you bring to this channel are very respected guests no doubt, but I don’t know about Dr Fatoohi, maybe I’ll change my mind after watching this, although it’s extremely improbable, I lost the trust in this man.

In general, i argue with longer comments on relevant points with evidence and facts are concerned (not just subjective opinions). One regular commentator asked me to make short comments, limited to one issue (what does it mean?), otherwise he would not response. Is this correct, or he is just lazy or does not know how to response. Most of the muslim commentators do not want to engage in a serious conversation, and when it tuns bad they look for any excuse for stopping. I feel that many of the apologetics follow just blind faith - there is no other possibility left in islam by the books. Some of them may indeed lack of intellect by using dismissive comments, and even insults. And of course, i respond the same way, not doing much effort. At least, i see that some people react.
I have tons of questions and remarks related to the crap apologetics are uttering here on YT. I value truth, evidence, democracy and human rights.

Dear Paul, thank you so much for your videos and the amazing guests you bring on. If I could make a small suggestion, it would be to maybe avoid giving a conclusion in the title, such as "Miraculous Qur'an", rather let the viewer arrive at that conclusion themselves if they wish. To use that title, you set up the viewer in a critical frame of mind already and especially when the evidence (even though I found it quite interesting and significant) is overall circumstantial and inconclusive.
There's already so much sensationalism and exaggeration around us already in all forms of media, which makes it quite frustrating for someone who's just trying to find truth and reasonable discourse. I just wanted to make that suggestion and it's a minor point in the end. Thank you again!

In my view, the time period when the story of Musa AS is during the New Kingdom period of the 18th Dynasty which is also called the Thutmosid Dynasty. The Old Testament in 1 Kings 6:1 gives a date of the exodus which reads
In the four hundred and eightieth[a] year after the Israelites came out of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, the second month, he began to build the temple of the Lord.
Generally Bible scholars agree that the building of Solomon’s temple is around 960BC. 480 lunar years is equivalent to 465 Gregorian solar year which makes the dating of the exodus to 1425BC. Based on the Shaw Egyptian timeline, which is the more accurate and accepted timeline amongst Egyptologist, this is exactly the year of the demise of Thutmose iii, the warrior king of Egypt known as the Napoleon of Egypt. Nobody knows how this pharaoh died despite him being very famous and extremely powerful and violent.
I can’t imagine Ramses ii who died at the ripe old age of 90 chasing after Musa across the Sinai desert and crossing the Red Sea. But it is entirely plausible that Thutmose iii who died at the prime age of 54 to have chased after Musa and died in the Red Sea.
Hence in my view, pharaoh of the exodus is most likely Thutmose iii and the foster mother of Musa AS is most likely Hatshepsut, who was the daughter of one pharaoh, Thutmose I and the wife of another pharaoh Thutmose ii.
Hatshepsut and Thutmose ii were siblings with Hatshepsut being the daughter of Thutmose I through his royal wife, Ahmose and Thutmose ii the son of Thutmose I through another wife, Mutnofret. They got married at a young age around 14 or 15 upon the death of their father Thutmose I.
The incident of the rescue of Musa happened during the reign of Thutmose ii when Hatshepsut was queen. Based on the Quran the incident when Musa was recovered from the Nile is during the period of the reign of Thutmose ii when Hatshepsut was queen. She didn’t have a male heir and only had one daughter Neferure and having adopted Musa even though he was an Israelite it would have brought tremendous joy to her. The Bible calls the person who rescued Musa from the river as the daughter of pharaoh but the Quran calls her the queen of pharaoh. In the case of Hatshepsut she is both and the Quran points to the time when the incident happened which is when she was the queen of Thutmose ii after the death of her father Thutmose I.
Hatshepsut’s husband Thutmose ii died young at the age of 30 and he had another son from another wife but the son was an infant at that time about 3 years old. This son would later grow up to be come Thutmose iii. Both Thutmose iii and Musa would have grown together in the royal household of pharaoh and would have known each other very well with Musa being older than Thutmose iii by many years, at least 10 years
In trying to find Musa in the royal court of ancient Egypt, there is an interesting character in the court of Hatshepsut. His name was Senenmut which literally mean mother’s brother and in my view he is the likely candidate for Musa in household of pharaoh. He was a commoner who suddenly appeared to hold high office in the court of Hatshepsut. Such was his importance in the court of Hatshepsut that he was the main advisor, builder, architect, military head and many more. Two unused tombs were built for him, one in the valley of the kings near the tomb built for Hatshepsut and another one just outside the valley of the Kings. His parents and siblings were also accorded high treatment despite being commoners and he had three brothers and two sisters.
The interesting thing is that he disappeared from the court of Hatshepsut in 1464BC in the 19th year of her reign 22 year reign. Perhaps this is when the incident where Musa had killed the Egyptian and thereafter later on fled to Madyan. Shortly after this the reign of Hatshepsut also came to an end and perhaps after this occurred the incident with the hairdresser and subsequent murder of Asiya / Hatshepsut in the hands of Thutmose iii.
As a footnote late into the reign of Thutmose iii and that of his son Amenhotep ii, all traces of Hatshepsut was chiselled out in an attempt to erase entirely her existence from Egyptian records.
Another interesting fact mentioned in the Quran which has not been answered satisfactorily is Haman. This is until recently the view of McAuliffe's Encyclopaedia of the Qurʾān among other sources relates "Haman" to be the Arabized form of "Ha-Amana,"[10] a title which roughly translates to incarnate of (the God) Amun or King of Amun and was utilized by the high priest.
This cult of the priesthood of Amun only came into existence in the early 18 dynasty and was not present or used in any significant way before. I think the interpretation that Haman refers to this priesthood class rather than a specific person is more accurate and palatable description of that name mentioned in the Quran.

Fascinating talk. If your goal is to increase our knowledge you Sir are an astounding success. Not sure I agree with all the analysis like the time Moses spent in Egypt on his return and meaning of “Awtad” (often translated as pegs). If the other place “Awtad” are mentioned in the Quran, they refer to mountains then, the most similar shape we would find in Egypt would be the Pyramids. The reference to Pharaoh as the one with the “Awtad” makes a lot of sense as they are the most prominent man-made landmark in his land and that’s worth mentioning when describing him to a foriegn audience who know nothing about the Pyramids let alone lessor structures such as temples etc.
This presentation is impressive. But I think that Dr Fatoohy is a Hadith Rejector (in all of his presentations he will never quote a single hadith) ... Any of the dates of Moses or his age cannot be accepted uess the Prophet said it so. Muslims should be very careful about him. He a caliph of a weird Sufi Tariqa that doesnt know or understand the difference between Authentic Hadith and the Shia's believe of supposed 12th infallible Imams who have almost the same knowledge as Allah (Naudhu Billah). That is why he will never quote even a single hadeeth. He is a Sufi mystic (who only wants to stay in his comfort zone and not be an intellectual who can critically see and analyse other Islamic point of views or whether only his particular sect (mystic Sufi Tariqa)is the only one that is on the correct path ...even though he is an arab native and can study and learn about the other Muslim traditions) and I dont even know whether he believes that Muhammed is the Servent and Messenger of Allah and that his teachings are part of the Religion of Islam. At least he is better than christians who believe in a God-Man amd Gospels whose authors are unknown ... I pray that Allah Guides him and us amd frees him from his delusion of being a Caliph of this weird Sufi Tariqa...

The exodus didn't took place from ancient Egypt but from Misr.
Most of the people will not understand the previous sentence because they believe and they learn that Misr in the Bible and the Qur'an is the ancient Egypt and the main reason is because a part of the actual Egypt is named Misr in Arabic language a little bit before the middle age but it was not the case before. If you arrive until this point of reading is totally natural to feel confused. But no worries make your own research and inchALLAH you will discover the truth.
