is possible to install apps from Play Store from android? For example USB AUDIO PLAYER PRO? And what about to line out and USB DAC mode? And that DAP supports 300 ohms headphones?
I don't think it's so little. In size or probably price terms.Whatever rocks your boat I guess, no reflection at all on the review, interesting stuff well presented is always well received by the audience.
I bought Ak70 II and two days later took this. Now I wonder will be there a significant upgrade in sound quality... Lets wait for SR15 delivery and see.
Any idea if this player supports SPDIF out in any way, or just USB out? Or if not if there's a dock that will let it do so? I realize it's not the primary calling but it's a nice feature for my desired set of uses. Cheers in advance.
Question, do all sr15s need to be turned up to 100 before they get any life in the volume, why make a unit that is near impossible to hear below 80 on a 150/100pot? I thought my unit was broken for the first 30 minutes as i get a "high volume" warning at 50 but had no sound until above 70. Very annoying to have that range of volume pots.
Hi all, Can someone recommend a portable HI-Res audio player that does support Tidal HI-res files? If yes, with the subscription would i be able to down load the files to the device? Im not an expert on HI res, I have bowers and wilkins px headphones. If i got a HI-Res audio player ,whould I get the hi-res benifit with my headphones through wireless/Bluetooth? Or would I have to use cable? Thanks
as far as i know there are some high res player out there which support tidal in cheap players around 100-200 dollars they work alright but not as smooth , in this category you'll get fiio m6 or shanling m2x but the m2x doesnt have apt x hd so for that codec you might have to go up in price fiio m6 is alright i used that but it crashed too much(the music player with too many files on it) i would wait for sony walkman a100 series as its cheaper and looks good with android pie and 20+ hours of battery and i guess it has apt x hd if u want more expensive dap then astell and kern is good with apt x hd you're looking for.....
and yeah with apt x hd you'll get high resolution sound via aptx hd enabled device from your b&w px headphones ...its not that different but still good enough i tried ldac from my sony h.ear on wireless anc headphones on fiio m6 it doesn't work that well volume was low and quality was just a little better so i'll think maybe expensive daps sound better....
Onkyo dp-x1 is your best bang for your buck. You can find them on sale half price every few months. Sounds gorgeous and has more power than anything else in 300$ range
sry but even 200$ chinese smartphones have bigger fhd displays and Ips with way faster SOC and more battery life... it should be possible to put at least a better screen in there... we dont live in 2010
drakedoggy103 but its not a smartphone, its a dedicated music player. Sure, a nice screen helps, but the focus shouldn't be on it. Sound quality is the most important
@@SR009s I know what you are saying but for example the qp1r has a better screen and better sound quality but costs the same... Screen isn't my first priority either but that doesn't mean we should overlook what could have been possible.
in something that big I would expect at least a full sized jack, I mean if I cared about audio quality on the go so much that I'll endure putting that brick in one of my pockets then I would also want to bring along my usual pair of cans...
Micro USB for 699$ ?! When this is their next gen player...where is USB TYPE C?! And why is the screen so small? Only 3.3 inches with an ultra cheap WVGA 480x800 TFT Display. TFT!!! When I consider buying one of these Players to enjoy HiRes Music, I also want to be able to enjoy HiRes Album Covers as well! For this price point they should at least use a very good IPS Panel or even better an OLED! Colors on TFT look horrible! And neither does it support 5Ghz WiFi nor Bluetooth 5.0 for better Bluetooth audio quality with aptx or the fact that Bluetooth 5.0 has a huge range upgrade over 4.0. The battery has only 3,150mah which is in comparison to it's size like nothing! Also they don't mention anything about the real specs of this "built-in-smartphone" which means that it has to be pretty bad but good enough for playing HiRes Music which it is supposed to do in the first place. Yes, I am convinced by this video that it probably sounds amazing but for the money your are paying it is just not worth it. At least it has multiple headphone jacks 😉 which is not normal these days.
You have to hear it to understand why it cost so much you really have to. I had the same impressions at first from previous models. This item is made to listen to music with expensive head sets that is all. The screen isnt the selling point at all nor is the wifi and blue tooth. This is a audiophiles oriented item which they only care about the music sounding amazing with the DAC. Look into why people buy these things it will make it more clear why the things you pointed out dont matter. I have previous models of these which cost a few thousand dollars people think its a waste till they hear what a difference it makes. they still likely wouldnt buy it due to cost but they get its a justified cost for quality.
This is the entry level player for AK and this is a player not smart phone or smart device so what is basically it does is to play music.. did you even listen to it at the first place before you start to talk?? U want big screen.. Go for their higher end series like SE-100 or SP-1000... but again u may judge why a device can cost $1699 and $3499...
Understand though, the cheap screens are a newer trend. Even the AK100 II had an amoled screen. ever since the ak70 or the Kann, they switched to the cheaper TFT screens. and micro usb really does suck.
Ok, Jonas....So what would be a better alternative?!?!?!?!? Because mine comes in the mail in a few days. And you have me nervous now, because this is my first DAP.
Owned one for 3 months and took it back for a full refund. The build quality is pure crap with the 3.5mm port breaking twice which I was glad of as I was extremely underwhelmed by the performance of the SR15. Check out the complaints from people with the same issue by doing a web search. The store was very honest and said I wasn't the first person to raise the issue. Sound quality is indeed good but in reality it's on par with a decent top of the range mobile phone. Touch screen is non responsive and is on par with something you would have expected from a touch screen 8 years ago. The Equalizer is next to useless with very little difference to the audio when used. The max volume level is a joke with some hi-def recordings practically a whisper in comparison to other cheaper devices. Half the album art didn't appear with most albums showing as 'Unknown'. The User Manual is rubbish with no help on the matter either. All in all, avoid A&K products at all costs, nothing but badly built pretentious crap. You'll get as much audio pleasure out of Samsung S8 and upwards and/or a phone of similar ilk. Anyone saying different is trying to sell you crap or talking out their ass.
@@afistfulofpimples1745 Agreed, and most buffoon's who can't afford to buy expensive tech because they are stuck in a dead end job are normally called Stephen. Such is life eh?
Over priced brick that you hold in your hand!!! There are so many other cheaper Dac's which do the the same job but are so much cheaper. I have the Sony and it sounds amazing. For £600 stay away guy's.
I am right handed and always hold my phone and music devices with my left hand. This allows me to manipulate the on screen buttons with my right hand.
The design fits truly nicely! Same for left-hand people?

And what can you say about their difference in sound quality?
And what would you say about its performance?
Only "Deezer" and "Tidal" are preinstalled on my "Cube". How can I install qobuz and amazon music for example?
Hi
Dose it have enough power (volume) to drive an open headphones 250oms ?
How does this sound compared to the ibasso dx150?
Never as good...

No
If I dont need power and battery, does it sounds better than KANN?
Is this much better than AK70 II in sound performance? I am in dilemma which one to take, AK70 II is 100$ cheaper
Fuad Hatamov same question here😊

It may be something with your headphones, try actually using the +50 volume bars that you get from DAPs like this device.
Can it display albumart cover that's enebed inside DSF audio file?

@@oscar_le_grouch Yeah guys it's supported, just figured it out
I may get used to the offset screen but i don't like it
That's also why everyone has their own favorite color - sound quality and ergonomics are incredible
와 진짜 너무 예쁘다...
Too many sharp edges for my taste. Portable players need to be more ergonomic
And the back glass cover goes to the edges.
The sharp edges are the reason I'm considering this...I love the case designs at A&K.
I somewhat loved the design too, but then i saw the spec sheet max 192/24 and DSD64.
Those sharp edges will cut through your pockets. I speak from personal experience.
