Wow! You wrote this commenf 11 years ago! I've been a fan since day one. This album has been in constant rotation every since. Always. 2021...hope you're still listening and staying safe.
Is not very difficult, most of the actual popular music is pure crap. That pieces of Corinne belongs to an age when music still was good even coming from 2006, a year when the trash music already had started in the media.
This CD got me through my drive to college everyday. I hated that semester so bad because my dad ended up having a baby once I graduated from high school. And my step mom kicked me out. This song brought a smile to my face and I listened to it daily. Still has that affect on me when I go to work. I know the CD is scratched but still play it. She is next to Sade in my book!
This is the kind of music I wanna listen to on a lazy Sun afternoon, with the rain falling gently on the sidewalk as I sip warm coffee in my favorite cafe, gazing at pedestrians from a distance.
Trouble Sleeping is still one of my favorite songs. In '07, I was having relationship issues. Luckily I've worked through that time of my life, with the help of Corrine Bailey Rae.
Phresh Ideas + Designs Omg my parents did too! Lol are you my dad or something? I always used to play the cd while we were driving to Italy so just like you said, it's perfect for long drives! It always reminds me of Italy now :) Hmm..good old times..when I still didn't have a care in the world.. :'(
This makes me feel so nostalgic. The whole album does. A classic that still sounds as delicious as it did the day it came out over a decade ago. Corinne will always be that breath of fresh air that we needed!
I bought her album when it first came out and I love it sooo much. She has such a distinct singing voice that you don't forget... she really needs to make a new cd for all her fans to buy.
535 people needs to get their life together, this song is a masterpiece, I remember when I first this song long before the video, I knew it was going to be a hit. I love the fact the she included everyone, black guys on the guitar and the drums, and those white guys rocking the hell outta those trumpets and flutes, one of the best video of all times. She’s absolutely beautiful this is one her greatest hits Epic Masterpiece in my eyes.
I can't tell anyone on here how many times I've listened to this song and that entire debut album counting from 2006 'til now. I keep it in my car because its the greatest album to listen to while driving.

2008..wonky year..I've had more than a handful of those..lol..but anywho, was working at Macy's and this was on the satellite radio...I would grab a piece of register paper and jot down lyrics of songs I would hear, then search for them when I got home...she is quite fantastic...
hmmmmm. such a pretty singer, such a pretty voice. Bought this album at a gas station not long after it came out. Road music, summer music. Just lovely.

This (for me) is a timeless song.

After years of not listening to her album, this song just popped right back into my head, and I’ve become addicted to good music again. 😊
I saw her live and she's just so beautiful, so modest, so talented, so genuine, and so cute.
It's late and I'm feeling so tired
Having trouble sleeping
This constant compromise
Between thinking and breathing
Could it be I'm suffering
Because I'll never give in
Won't say that I'm falling in love
Tell me I don't see myself
Couldn't I blame something else
Don't say I'm falling in love
Some kind of therapy
Is all I need
Please believe me
Some instant remedy
That can cure me completely
Could it be I'm suffering
Because I'll never give in
Won't say that I'm falling in love
Tell me I don't see myself
Couldn't I blame something else
Don't say I'm falling in love
Cause I've been there before
It's not enough
So nobody say it
Don't even say it
I got my eyes shut
Whoah, no
Whoah, no, no, no
Could it be I'm suffering
Because I'll never give in
Won't say that I'm falling in love
Tell me I don't see myself
Couldn't I blame something else
Don't say I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Don't say that I'm falling in love
Make a pin.
Thanks for the lyrics! 👍👏✌️😇
You know she's a real vocalist when she sounds the same (if not better) live as she does recorded.
No AutoTone .🎶😊
One of the few tracks that built up my music taste, and the ability to fight loneliness...
Not sure what she's doing these days but this song will forever be in my playlist
going to the concert 9/24/2016 Houston! cant wait
I love this track...but is always short!
She’ll be remembered with all the classic soul artists.
Such a smoothing tune... Anyone agree and listening in 2020+
She is the perfect alternative to the "garbage" played on radio stations today.

Still true in 2019

Oh gosh. She's amazing! That's a wonderful song. I can't stop to listen it. Wonderful work of the backing vocals also.
