Had the opportunity to encourage some girlfriends online video chat yesterday with my pink pom poms!! Two of them shared they used to be cheerleaders as young girls, and one said she wished she still Had her pom poms....So I said, Wait!!! Ran upstairs to my pamper basket and..Voila! Loved hearing the story of those earrings, they are great on you! I attacked my garden hedge today and pulled out all the dead pieces, thanks to Flylady and your motivation. I told myself I would only do 15 minutes (think I did an hour!) and left everything in the porch ready to finish the job tomorrow. A nice new hydrangea bush will fill the gap and hopefully grow quickly! I don't put my Easter decor out til Easter (though I leave it out the 50 days til Pentecost/Whitsun) but it's ready to go in a tote in the basement in all its sunshiny glory. My Lenten decor is simple and darker in color, and I can't wait to bring out my yellows and pinks. My kids get Easter treats but I give myself the gift of decorating. This has been a Lenten season like no other. 💜
I quite admire that you dress so nicely at home. I love clothes, but I'm one that changes as soon as I get home. Well, now I'm home. 😬😬 leggings, tops and house moccasins are my uniform. I can't see me cleaning floors with cute outfits, but I'm going to try.

We decorated for Easter yesterday so did a downstairs clean which was so much easier thanks to decluttering! Today we're in the garden as it's so wonderful and sunny...tent up for a 'big trip' to the garden for a mini holiday. Stay safe!
I thought you would end up donating that scarf bc yes, I agree it was a DYT 1-2 ;) Thank you to Carol Tuttle for our clarity! I'm fine & well! DAy 39!!! Today is..ta-da!! More paper clutter that I just went through..(appliance receipts/manuals/insurance papers/banking info) Plus, DH on his own..went through his bins in the garage and has decided to donate or sell a lot of his books and a couple of puzzles, too. the family DOES catch on. Check-Check-Check, routines are all done here too. LOVe your outfit, the blouse so sweet & the green my fave T1 green :) The family & I planned our Easter Dinner meal. It will be the 1st year ever that we do not get to have a dinner with my Mom & extended families so we will have to do it on our own. But, we are making the best of it & have planned a yummy menu. I miss our DS22 so much as it's been since mid Feb since we have gotten to see him bc of the lockdown, etc Two driving hrs away...Give your DS an extra hug for me, haha since I am missing hugging mine ;) Happy Saturday!

You are lovely in the light green you are wearing. Speaking of Easter it is doubtful I will be making traditional Easter dinner this year but I will still observe other aspects of Easter in a more quiet, spiritual sense. As for decluttering today (Friday for me), I'm afraid I didn't get to it as planned but I did manage to get rid of several old newspaper flyers and a container or two. Today's agenda was all about looking earlier in the day for the much needed toilet paper. I'm happy to say we finally found some for the first time in several weeks. Yeah! I also did some in house pampering and 2 loads of LOL. I am now ready for the weekend of catching up to various things. I didn't make a to do list as it will depend on energy and weather but likely an indoor day of paperwork and banking. Have a wonderful weekend.

And my week routine is a bit different because I picked up my grocery yesterday and normally Fridays I do sheets and vacuum upstairs. I'll just swap that with today. Lock down doesn't mean shut down! Good morning Diane! I decorated for Easter today so I did a little bit of decluttering there. It always feels sooooo good! My husband asked me why I get dressed every morning and I just smiled! I never mention the Flylady system but if it wasn't for that, the house (and our lives) would be a mess. Having two children under 4, I could not let that happen!
I must say the 40 day declutter challenge is so amazing I am storing them in the space bedroom. I cannot believe how much items I have got rid of, I think I will do this at least twice a year. I went through my photos and did find one single out of focus duplicate to toss for my forty day declutter. I have one more hated framed picture to toss and I guess that will be the end of my forty day declutter? Learning to make online orders. My son ordered some bandanas to put over our now advised cloth masks. I got an early start on my kitchen since I want to work outside as soon as the weather permits. I qm doing my bed today and son’s tomorrow. I will have to think about my self preservation....I am getting tired!

I’ve had a look at DYT since you’ve been talking about it. I’m pretty sure I’m a light spring as I had my colours done by colour be beautiful years ago. However I think I’m a type 2 in DYT and the colours are just not me at all. Do you know why the system doesn’t seem to take your colouring into account or am I missing something ? I would love to take this time right now to get a capsule wardrobe started and declutter my wardrobe whilst I have more time!
Hi Alison! There's a brilliant new, updated version of the free course at my.liveyourtruth.com/dyt/home/ which should clear it up for you! 🖐 (I was also a Spring in the old CMB system many years ago, which roughly translates to Type 1 DYT).
Alison, I found the DYT videos most helpful where the women thought they were one type and Carol helped them see themselves as another type. These and the videos discussing secondary types get into a lot of details that make the system easier to understand. I know what you mean about skin tone. My approach is to use the DYT types as a basic guide then further fine tune my individual type to things like skin tone and time of year. DYT has saved me so much money because it helps me understand the difference between what looks good on me and what makes me look good. As Diane once said in a declutter video, "What comes into the room first, me or the shirt?" Profound!
