I agree with Choe about you guys being life savers. This was a truly horrible year here, but you guys rekindled a love for making comics in me, not to mention the entertainment and educational goldmine this show is. Infinite thanks to youse!
This was a damn good interview I loved Choes' enthusiasm and hearing the part about him just crying after the dinner got me emotional like yeah if I met an artist who's impacted me like that I'd be in the same boat
Dude I was there! Had no idea Choe or Miller were going to be there but I decided to tag along when my brother bought me a ticket. When I saw Frank Miller on the program I too assumed that it was gonna be some packed room with a bunch of Batman Diehards so I thought, oh well. Then as I walked the main floor there he was for anybody to see, and who do I see next to him but David Choe! It was like totally surreal. Then when Choe said that he wanted to do one of Miller's shelved works, the Choe fans really freaked out! I started to look into his work after I saw the Kayfabe interview on this channel, thanks for the content guys. You're doing God's work, or at least an New God's work.
@@StraightEdgeJoe860 he did not say a specific work but, Miller said he had a lot of stories he never published just laying around gathering dust. He said he felt to old to work on them then David Choe offered his services. It should be in this video that's on RUclips. If it is not ill post it myself. What a truly amazing story. Choe's energy is so disarming, very "real" and unpretentious for a guy who moves in the circles he does. I thought "Jock wasn't a jock - what gives?" was hilarious.
When you see something incredible or amazing and you mutter to yourself that cliché line "they should've sent a poet...." David Choe is that poet! So glad he's the one to tell the tale! So good!
I was there at the LA panel and this shines so much light on i, I thought it was brilliant to get Dave to interview these 2 artists but didnt know it was last minute. I got Frank to sign my DKR books and I also went to the Warbie Yama booth to get a sweatshirt after Dave brought it up. Thanks for this Jim and Ed!
I was at LA Comic Con for the Frank Miller panel and totally freaked out when I found out David Choe was moderating the interview. Knowing David, I knew this wasn't going to be the same old tired fanboy interview, and he sure made it fun. Great for David to meet and experience what we only dream about. Amazing to hear such a famous artist geeking over another comics giant. Both titans in their own fields.
You guys are so fucking rad. Love Choe and really appreciate you guys. Like many have said here, this channel has really got me back into loving reading and making comics. Keep it going guys!
Just finished watching the Panel with David, Frank And Jock. I feel like Jock is the most talented guy at DC for the last decade, as well as a brilliant concept artist (see Ex Machina). Choe is great on the panel, I feel bad for Jock cause he's a nice dude (as all Scots are) and when Choe calls Marvel & DC pussies I think Jock wanted to run away. He spent the next 20 mins saying how much he loves working with DC. I love Choe tho, he's an animal. Happy new year dudes!
I LOVE DAVID CHOE. I ABSOLUTELY WISH I HAD BRUISED FRUIT AND SLOW JAMS. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ but I buy every single variant cover of his comics, joker puzzle box, good Asian, Superman, Batman’s, Last ronin. I just can’t afford his early work.
I'm happy to see David doing well (with therapy). I've watched some recent interviews. I'm not Quiteley or Hanselman, but dang it'd be cool to draw a comic penned by him.
Choe is one of those weird 'self aware dude bros'. He puts you off with *how* he talks, but then pulls you right back with what he's actually saying. Funny guy!
It was somewhere around the 38:15 mark that I realized that this is probably the greatest interview in the history of Cartoonist Kayfabe. 😂 David Choe is an INCREDIBLE storyteller.
So beautiful. To get something so emotionally charged is awesome. One of your best episodes in my opinion. As always guys you rock. More Choe the better.
I'm really hyped for this interview, and whenever Dave's on the channel. His FX show The Choe Show is the best damn thing on tv this year, streaming on Hulu.
i love this episode guys im a big Choe fan hes selling his self very short a cool dude who speaks his mind and is true lol ... but awkward at times but hes authentic . but he needs to remember that his art sells super fast i cant aford his original art but when he did the Superman Red & Blue #2 i spoke to my hommie GomezComics and told him and a few other comic buddies to pick it up but they dint not know about Choe. but man love this episode. and i been on the Red Room crazy cool read.... Back after ruclips.net/video/-wZk4B1BB0c/видео.html i was mad after hearing they did not let the Rafael cover come out i would hav been super happy to collect that cover . and my hommie KeepItThorough would have loved the fine art TMNT . Damm that messed me up you cant ask an artist to change there style

I appreciate how you guys let David speak and listen so we get the most out of the interview I think that's badass thank you
David is absolutely on-track, this channel has really helped me through the pandemic and tough times therein. It's not some cliché bullshit.
This was a damn good interview I loved Choes' enthusiasm and hearing the part about him just crying after the dinner got me emotional like yeah if I met an artist who's impacted me like that I'd be in the same boat
David Choe seems so genuine. I love you chats with him. His spirit is infectious.

Which book was Choe talking about wanting to do?

This was one of the best interviews I've ever seen. The energy was phenomenal. Pumped me up to create something.
Born again got me into comic books in 6th grade in the 80s, so I'm definitely in the frank Miller cult.
What a truly amazing story. Choe's energy is so disarming, very "real" and unpretentious for a guy who moves in the circles he does. I thought "Jock wasn't a jock - what gives?" was hilarious.

Go Choe! Love you man. Being vulnerable and honest. Looks like you been doing a lot of work. Glad you are more calm and healing.

I feel emotional after this 😅 I'm so glad this is on the record.
This is already the most amazing comic nerd story ever and I'm only 40 minutes in!
Maaaaan this channel just keep surprising me in all the best ways possible.
Dave’s back doing regular ish interviews and it’s a wonderful thing
You guys are so fucking rad. Love Choe and really appreciate you guys. Like many have said here, this channel has really got me back into loving reading and making comics. Keep it going guys!

You made a tear stream down my cheek. Thank you.
David Choe is the most entertaining person to listen to ever
this was fucking incredible. THANK YOU!
Dave Choe is now my new favorite human 😂😂😂😂. Great interview guys!
I saw a stream of the panel and a couple of the questions he asked Frank were kinda awkward but it was cool
Wow thank you so much for bringing us more Choe!

the blueprint changed my life
This is amazing. I've loved Frank since I was a kid in the 80s but I am not familiar with David Choe's work. I'm changing that immediately.
Wow, this was so dope.
Contrary to what Cartoonist Kayfabe teaches, David Choe proves that tangents can be fun sometimes - verbal tangents, at least!
Dave has got to have the craziest intersection of knowing all kinds of people in all kinds of industries.
The Worby sweater story…. Hilarious!!!🤣
Haven’t met Dave Mandel, but got to draw a Jingle Belle story he wrote in 2003!
FUCKKK yess im so happy david is back on the channel the gi joe episode was great !!!
Super stuff! makes a great christmas gift for us all!
Epic. Let's get Frank!
Damn, I loved this one.

Dude this was so awesome. Daves excitement and energy makes you feel like you’re there. Great storytelling.
I need to meet these guys. I live in Pittsburgh too. I must
A blast.
This was fantastic! Thanks David. Dude, I could hear this all day!
I'm happy to see David doing well (with therapy). I've watched some recent interviews. I'm not Quiteley or Hanselman, but dang it'd be cool to draw a comic penned by him.
Amazing!
My absolute best Xmas gift! David Choe and You both for 90 minutes! Being in minute 3 and can not wait to write that! Fuck Yeah! Cheers from Poland!

Choe is one of those weird 'self aware dude bros'. He puts you off with *how* he talks, but then pulls you right back with what he's actually saying. Funny guy!

Did Dave hijack the Miller interview? Haha
I wonder who the supermodel was!
This is the best day after Christmas present ever!
What a fucking amazing video

So beautiful. To get something so emotionally charged is awesome. One of your best episodes in my opinion. As always guys you rock. More Choe the better.

Gerard Way is why I don't read comics anymore.
