    Love this video! I had a question doc, I have strabismus in one eye and was wondering if I would still be able to do well in optometry school?

    • @dr.brightlylyd
      @dr.brightlylyd  Год назад

      Absolutely! I would not let the eye condition stop you from achieving your dreams ✨️ I have a few colleagues who have monocular vision (vision in one eye only) and they're doing great as optometrists. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with !

    Hiiii, i have a question, what would be a good related job as someone with currently no experience and who is an undergraduate student?

    • @dr.brightlylyd
      @dr.brightlylyd  Год назад +2

      Hiii thank you for your question! If you are asking about an optometry related job, you can definitely start at a local optometry office. I worked in retail at LensCrafters for a bit before optometry school and shadowed the optometrist there during my down time ! You can also work as an optometry technician, optician assistant, clinic scribe, and even at the front desk of optometry offices to gain a little more experience and exposure to the field!

    How earns more optometrist or opthalmologist in long run...???

    • @dr.brightlylyd
      @dr.brightlylyd  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, it depends on if an optometrist decides to have his/her own private practice or not but if we are talking solely salary-wise I believe ophthalmologists have a higher annual income!

    Do you need a bachelor's degree or a associate degree to go in optometry school?

    • @dr.brightlylyd
      @dr.brightlylyd  Год назад +1

      A bachelor's degree is highly recommended, but not required by all schools! There are special programs that you can get into after high school. Let me know if you have any other questions! @jadaplays7254
