I wish my optometrist was more like her. I've had a bunch of different ones over the years but they're rarely so calm and patient or reassuring. I always get stressed about deciding whether 1 is better than 2 because I feel like I need to hurry up, but the differences are so subtle sometimes. I especially love how she says "not to worry".
Put a camera in there and they will be on their best behaviour !
@@karimmahmoud8113 they should wear body cams haha, heck I had a doc check my ears with a otoscope and she spent about .2 seconds on each ear, not even enough time to make me believe she gave a damn, I mean at least count to 3 Mississippi so I believe you checked!
thats why you should always use independent opticians since i move from a corp opticians to an independent one my life changed they treat you with alot more personalityand humanity compared to corps such as vision express specsavers being the worst of the worst
That sucks! I've never had a bad optometrist, but then again I go to the same chain and they might all have the same training. If you pause for a long time they simply ask if you'd like to see it again.
@@slashbat2375 you’re right! And I’ve actually had two really good experiences since this comment, one of which was today. I just took my time and asked to see the other option again and was treated patiently and with understanding☺️.

I always like the Slit Lamp exam and Opthalmology......so relaxing
Its really cool seeing exams like these that we each have a bunch of times throughout our lives but never do we see someone else put in the same situation! You find some professionals with really good manner, the sort of people that you would recommend to a friend if they were a bit unsure or anxious about having the exams. Its a really interesting type of content 😊

@@dessertstorm7476 What an odd question to ask without taking the time to understand the comment one is responding to. I was commenting on the creators ability to capture, with cameras and microphones, the atmosphere of the room, and the eye exam itself. Nowhere did I mention the eye exam being real or acted. Knowing where to place cameras and microphones displays a level of technical knowledge, that was all I was commenting on.

Not knocking the technology at all but the old school tests hit harder with the ASMR for me.
Had an exam the other day, wish i did it 2020-21 but could due to the pandemic, last eye exam was late 2017 right before new years 2018.
Have you considered an SRP Collab or is that not in the cards?

i had my eyes tested today and i have 20/20 vision and when they were checking them they found a freckle at the back of my left eye i have to go back in 6 months for a follow up
These ideas and their execution is absolute perfection. Really incredible work. But, there's something about the microphone setup that just isn't hitting. It might be that they're too far away but the subtleties and softness of the voices is getting lost because of it. It's really noticeable if you compare it to a Dr Gill video for example. Can anyone with audio expertise explain this better than me?
It’s because of the machine noises being cancelled out so the voices sound more distant 😭 The mics were the exact same set up as my other videos otherwise! Just real life eye machines are loud 🥲

Wish my ophthalmologist had all this state of the art gear. I had to go back because he muffed the prescription last time. Might be time to look for an upgrade; he IS over 75. He served me faithfully and well for decades but I think his time is over.

IOP measurements are always freaky. Just never do a Visual Fields test if you can avoid it.

I have to be honest and say I don’t like your medical consultations as I don’t find anything relaxing about seeing doctors not least as I’m very short sighted and I face going blind. It’s just my view and I’m sure many like these sorts of videos. I can just select those of your videos I like.
Short sightedness (myopia) doesn’t mean you’ll go blind
