The fact that Moldova somehow still gets to the final and occasionally a Top 10 position with this selection is my Roman Empire.
They know how to take a diamond in the rough and just elevate it by 1000% and they're so real for that

Moldova is the most mysterious country in Eurovision. After all this they still manage to end up with a decent entry in the contest, qualify and get a good result in the final. This phenomenon amazes me every single year.
my guess is they just spend all the money they save by doing their selection that way on the production of their winner and their staging
@@samthecloud2748 as soon as the artist wins national selection, they are pretty much on they own. Some contestants had to sell their cars, borrow money, find outside sponsors to fund their performance at eurovision.

The interesting thing is that in post show the juries said that what people heard on TV and what they heard may be very different. It was pretty obvious that they may have major sound problems

This year was weaker. There weren't any truly bad songs like 2022 amd 2023
But in 2022 and 2023, there were at least 8-10 good songs, this year there are only 3-4

With rough sound mixing and a terrible stage, I think these lower quality produced nationals (not a comment on the artists but rather on the organizers), you really need to watch the full song to get a better gauge. I thought Malta was bad from the snippets, but when I watched the show, it wasn't as terrible as I initially perceived, though there were still some questionable performances along with decent and workable ones and at least one vocally impressive one.
Moldova is once again stepping their game!!!😱 One gem after another, all potential Eurovision winners!!! How they do it is a top secret apparently😂

I was so excited for "Rise Up" but I'm not sure how I feel about her performance. It was kinda bad tbh. It's still the best song imo. Runaway is probably my favorite song but her vocals weren't good either. Victor Gulick is really charismatic and has a good voice. He just needs better material.
