    Faith, I rarely comment on youtube videos but I have to tell you that this video really inspired me to get back into deep bible study. You also helped me to overcome my struggle with perfectionism. I watched a sermon last night and I put away my pencil and wrote directly into my bible with out stressing over my handwriting or anything else. Thank you for your ministry!

    I used to have trouble with Psalms and Job until I understood that God spoke to us in parables just as Jesus told us and when I figured this out the poetry began to make sense. So much spiritual food is in Psalms. It would take a lifetime to soak it all in.

    I honestly love the fact that you don't cover the words because most videos I see with bible journaling they cover up the words while trying to beautiful what they are studying I'm not against it to each other own but I prefer your method it is amazing and you can always go back a look over what was studied
    So thank you so much for this video

    In the 80s&90s I had a compact Bible that I made notes in, added sticky notes in, and stuffed full of study notes and other guides, but it was hard to read afterwards. I always wanted a loose leaf Bible so I could add pages like the “interleaf” Bible. That is so cool!! God bless you as you study, learn, and guide. Two months-WOW! Congratulations.

    I don't have an interleaved Bible, so I use a lot of tip-ins. One thing I am doing for Lent is: I took a Bible I had around house and wasn't using, I am adding a tip-in folder for each verse in my devotion and adding notes, prayers and anything else I feel led to do. I am focusing on the scripture and not decorating the folders as I would usually.

    I had forgotten how much fun it can be to do what you do to the bible. You helped me realize that just underlining is not enough. I have learned how to draw just a little while studying with you. I love what you do with your bible and how the info stands out every time you go back to review it. I would love to find some of the things you use. A particular one is the cards you used at 5:18. Gonna try to find the map at 6:11. I have started bible study all over and this time - I'll remember what that underline means because I have a tab, a note, or something to help it stand out. Thanks for re-energizing my bible study.

    I am an acrylic, watercolor and paper artist, but I have the worst time trying to draw in my Bible. 😂 I was drawing in my Bible when I was a teenager and had a dear old saint tell me that I was defiling the Word of God and she scolded me. I still hear her voice saying that sometimes. She was a lovely person, but very strict and I know she did not mean it in a bad way. I know it's not true and God is helping me overcome that.😊 What I have been doing until recently, is using notebooks and Artists multimedia art journals, that I turned into Bible journals. I figured I wouldn't give some older saint a heartache from seeing all the doodles, drawing, paints, stickers (I love stickers, too), and other ephemera from my scrapbooking, in my Bible. However, I have recently been just going for it and praying for those who don't understand why we Bible journal and how it helps us learn and retain more by writing, drawing etc. in our Bibles. I am a visual learner, so I need the visuals to help me remember what I read. So, learning from you and others, on how you Bible journal and study has really helped me grow during this most difficult time in my life. Thank you for sharing! God bless you! ❤

    Thank you for showing us your journaling Bible. You are one of the people who inspired me to have a journaling Bible. Although I don´t consider myself a creative person because I can´t really draw (just color), God gives me creative ideas when I work in my ESV Interleaved. At the end of a study, I am pleasantly surprised at how the pages look and this Bible is getting thicker, too because of the notes I write there that I share during our Bible study sessions.

    So I know my Bible won't look like your Bible. Your Bible is beautiful, but for me that would be a little too overwhelming. Too much going on and my brain would get lost but I absolutely love seeing your process! And I'm definitely going to take away the screenshots printing out screenshots from sermons that is so smart! Also I really want to add maps into my Bible as well and I like that you just went online and printed them off. I never even thought of that. I also really love the transparent sticky notes. I bought a set before but they were colored and nothing would write on them set that I bought so I think I'll have to try a different brand.

    These might be good alternatives for those looking for an Interleaved Bible, and having a hard time finding one. Nicki Drake (Crazy Simple Truth) Interleaved Journaling Bible (Amazon), ESV Illuminated Scripture Journal (Amazon and as well as Christian Book Stores/Websites) , She Reads Truth Bible Studies (She Reads Truth website). Are all Interleaved style Bible journals. Each journal is one book of the Bible. She reads truth comes with extras that the other two do not. NIV Jesus Bible Journal looks to be as well and it looks to also have writing prompts.

      They still sell the ESV Interleaved Bible. They no longer sell the one she has (the plain hardback and the *cloth over board-which was most popular) To my knowledge they have two styles that they sell now: one that is a leather wrap and comes with a leather strap (I own this one and I got a great deal on it-$50) and a leathersoft “Mosaic” design. The NKJV also has an interleaved Bible.

    Question...does your deep bible study include the study of the 7 books that make up the complete Catholic bible which are not part of other Christian bibles?

    When you start a new chapter. You talked about bible project. Do you watch that before starting or do you read one time through and then watch bible project?

    Loved this flip through. I do some Bible art in a Bible I have, but it only has columns on the side for journaling. So when you are listening to a sermon and taking notes, are you writing directly in your Bible, or do you add the notes into your Bible later?

      @HowtoFaithALife  2 года назад +1

      Writing directly into it! But, some people take notes in a journal and then boil it down later and add what they want in their Bibles later

    Hi Faith, you spoke quite often about how to read a book what do you mean by that? Thanks

      Knowing what the author had in mind for his readers and the themes the carry through. Like how proverbs is different from the Gospel of Matthew. If you read the description of each book before reading it through it can be helpful. Like, what was happening in the church of Galatia? What about Corinth? Like you go into a Psalm differently than a pastoral epistles etc. hope this helps!

    Hi Faith. I 💕 your Bible! I have a question. I have been wanting to get a commentary to study my Bible better, I found one on sale and grabbed it up. 😊 It's the Tony Evans Commentary. Is that a good Christian one? Or should I get something else?

    How do you "attach" those blank pages in your Bible? It looks clear, but I can't tell if it's glued or taped.

    • @HowtoFaithALife
      @HowtoFaithALife  2 года назад

      Tape! Sometimes glue. There's the "tip in" method where you literally just put glue along the side edge of the paper and stick it into the binding and it works pretty well!

    FYI the mainstream maps that are promoted by most "scholars" and seminaries, of the Exodus are in fact wrong and it is great ammunition for enemies of the faith, they smugly say "see the Exodus didn't really happen" and some people of the faith say things like "it's all metaphorical." which is objectively false. Mount Sinai is NOT in the Sinai peninsula, it is indeed in Arabia(which Paul even says in Galatians 4:25) If Mt Sinai was in the Sinai peninsula like these false maps indicate, the Israelites could not have gone through the Red Sea and the route makes absolutely no sense...but if in Arabia, then it lines us perfectly. Plus the real Mt Sinai in Arabia is completely black and scorched on the top(from God's presence resting on it). I strongly suggest you search this out, it's very important for contending for the historical legitimacy and accuracy of Scripture. A good book on the topic is called " the writing of God" by Miles R Jones.
