Summary:
In the lush hills of Obinagu village, Nkem and Adanna, childhood friends turned lovers, find their bond tested by the rigid structures of Igbo society. Adanna, the daughter of the Eze (king), is betrothed to a neighboring king’s son to cement a political alliance. Nkem, a gifted but lowly blacksmith, is deemed unworthy of her by tradition.
When their secret relationship is discovered, Nkem is exiled to the wilderness, accused of defiling royal blood.
