Excellent video! I love wooden boats, having built a 37 cutter in the seventies and a 42' ketch in the eighties. Nell is rather spectacular, and whomever did the rebuild deserves a medal. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! This was my father’s old boat in late 80’s/90’s. Lots of happy memories sailing on Nell, but where has the Mizzenmast gone!? Looks odd without it!
Missing-Mizzen- couldn't resist..maybe it was passed to Leo as he rebuilt Tally Ho, in Washington state..Certainly its clear much of the gorgeous features of Tallyho's salon, including a long list, ranging from the design specific leather couch, liquor cabinet, sliding stain glass, brand & style of period lighting, the mains wiring cabinet and trim, all greatly contributed to Tallyho's easily ranking ,most beautiful modern day yacht, worldwide 🎉 Leo failed to credit where credit was clearly due..surely not unkindly..who knows why ..perhaps some conflict of interest or such. I'd guess fitting a buyer to this gem will be challenge considering the tiny steering bucket, & the requirement the open deck without restraints or handholds will require a stone sober crew, fit as Olympic champions & a circus high wire walker. Can't begin to imagine any typical billionaire confidently approaching her bow in a high rolling high wind & living to return to the stateroom for a comfy night
It is an English term just meaning bits and pieces, doesn't refer to anything specific, just what one may be pointing to at the time or referring to. Example. If you were going to the beach and needed to take your swim costume, some sun cream, sandwiches, sandals and towel. The friend you are going with, rather than asking you if you had all these items by listing them all may just ask, " Have you got all your bits and bobs ? " Hope this helps.
Pink? Well made but it's too intense; darkish green or similar gives rest for the eyes after a hard day's sailing. Not sure about the nav. placement. Good storage which reduces the clutter. (A wooden boat launched in the NHemis. some months ago now looks like the town tip; the sense of large space is immediately reduced when the shelves have jars and tins of chutney etc etc decorating the walls..)
In my 60 odd years as an English speaker and being in the antique trade, also a boat builder and boat owner, I've used and heard others use the word patina 1000's of times, yet I've never heard anyone say patina like you do. I think you'll find common consensus and dictionary explanation of correct pronunciation is pateena, not pat i na
Why are classic yachts always look so cool...
Classic is simple and beautiful
It's the finish what makes you speak of cool, any wonder
Magnificent! Excellent video.❤
Good luck finding someone with the heart, the knowledge, and the bankroll to maintain this beautiful antique.

Sorry about your cold, hope you’re better soon! Beautiful boat and well represented.Thank you for sharing.
One Very Serious Craft / Who ever owns this Craft must have good seaman ship skills.
Made with Passion.
beautiful craftsmanship
Sailed on Nell from Mylor to Kinsale, Ireland in the mid 70’s. Belonged to Chas and Sue at the time.
Oh man..what a beauty... ❤❤ fantastic job! 👏👏👏👏
Thank you
Beautiful! Full headroom without a raised cabin top. That's a big, spacious old boat!
I'm in love with this boat!
Fantastic.

-id help the byer with 3 weeks of whatever the annual maintenance is needed if i could get a week of actuall sailing on that thing😊
VERY VERY NICE .🇦🇷🙂
Does one stand in that tiny cockpit to steer?
That windlass must be 100 years old. Who was the builder, McGruer?
What a beauty, I would take it if I was very wealthy because of takes a lot expensive work to keep it in good condition.
I love so much about this boat, but the cockpit. I can't figure that out. I guess you just stand in the bucket while at the helm?
Platic sliders !. Tuffnel or brass
I figured out what bits are but what are bobs. Are bobs bigger then bits? You said, “bits and bobs”.

So a Pilot Cutter and not a Gaff Ketch?
Ketch has 2 masts ?
The grain in the deck planks looks like pine, not teak.
Not once did your man speak of the hull 😂 well that keeps us afloat is it steal wood or 😂

I wonder ifvthech3lmsman stood in the hole now with a hatch
Absolutely beautiful 🥰
Still for sale. It looks a death trap on deck, I would feel vulnerable to being swept off.
❤
Lol at the shower head
I dont thinK the gooseneck is the original design
Don't like the layout, but absolutely beautiful S.V...
Nice boat but the cockpitt uncomfortable for my us.and to small.
It is not a ketch. it is a Kutter😮 sailors grupo.. from Malvinas Ailands 🇦🇷
Title error.
Great boat.
these heavy batteries should be bolted down
