It sounds, but IMO, the game looks way too slow. I played the PSP one, and barely had any patience even though it had auto-play (double speed). I am happy by just having played that version, and then have watched these videos showing the original version.
28:17 as soon as you stand in front of that mirror there will be no going back. If there’s anything you still haven’t done, go back and take care of those if you want, but standing in front of the mirror marks the beginning of the end of the long adventure.
The one thing the remakes at least did, gave us characters that actually have personality, and actually look different from one another. That's not a knock against the original, I mean limited technology and all, this version here is still fantastic. The music is outstanding, but there's not a lot of variety between player sprites, though back in the day we would not have cared anyway (though we in the west never got this game till far, far, far later on the more modern handhelds, even the GBA skipped on this one). The one knock about the remakes, shame the sprites weren't 2D, because FF 1, FF2, and FF 4 on PSP have some stunning cleaned up sprites that are still in lo-res, but look fabulous.
Can someone confirm to me that safe makes the last boss pathetic? I used it around 3 time for each character, and I managed to make it deal only 1 point of damage. I was playing a hack called Final Fantasy III Redux, but as far as I know it didn't change any magic utility, at least it doesnt say that it does on the note that came with the hack.
FF3 will always have a special place in my heart BUT I really hate the final boss. The final boss basicly requires 2 ninjas and 2 sages for damage (ninja stars) and healing (Cure4).
Man, you keep having bad luck. Like encountering that Red Dragon at the end of the last video. I considered wandering on that floor for one, but neh. I mean, if there was a Compendium to be filled, I would.
It depends on the context. "Kuso" has different meanings based on how it's used - in this scenario, "damn" is another possible interpretation, since it's being used as an interjection showing frustration/annoyance/whatever the emotion is.
I listen to this during work in office, for hours. remind me the spirits back then as a kid.(now 43 yrs old)
Just to help future viewers, stop at 44:48 to read the text that is only on the screen for a split-second.
The First Time I completed FF3 it took me nearly a month but now I completed it in just 4 days, and it's now my favorite out of the original 3.
Thanks alot for these videos! Much prefer this than the new FF3 game.
Agreed I just Completed FF3 on 8-bit again and I now Love it more than FF1 and 2.
5:58 💀🙏
I would love to play this game in its original form.

Grew up with the DS one, thought it was top quality at the time
I played the 8 bit one and I LOVE IT!

An extremely impressive game for the famicom
Can't wait to do the Crystal Tower in Final Fantasy 14 Realm Reborn game with it comes out :P! wonder if it looks just like it..
That final boss looks awesome
Thank you, longplayer! Now, I can use characters, maps and enemies for our D&D campaign and I won't need play myself.
Do the people you’re playing with know you’re basing it on FF though?
Legendary

Hello, I just finished the game in my laptop, playing in a NES rom, whitout cheats, and I can confirm that it's like you said.

Awesome! :)
I don’t know why but petrifying enemies is usually the best bet for me
Tell me if I’m wrong
But I don’t know why this guy didn’t do it...
Wouldn't be FF3 without dying at the cloud of darkness and having to climb all the way back up the sylx tower.
i feel this..
Random fact all 7 of these vids take
12 hours 24 minutes 1 seconds
นักรบข้างไม่ต้องเพิ่มพลังให้นะ
:) great

This may be a comment from months ago but dude this guy plays the game he wants to don’t get mad over it
ถ้านักรบข้างบนตายไม่ต้องชุบชีวิตให้นะ
Darkness shall never rise.
I'm pretty sure they didn't say shit in the original. Lol
What do you mean, didn't say?
I don't get it.

Think the original text said "kuso, ugokenai"
Doesn’t kuso mean shit? As in Kusoge

นักรบทั้งสามคนเพิ่มพลังกันเลยนะส่วนนักรบคนข้างบนไม่ต้องเพิ่มให้นะ
