    Also, I suggest re-torquing the lower runners after several weeks of heat cycles. All the lower bolts on mine bar one were not to speck when I checked them a month after I did my upper and lower on my HR. Also your torque band will move up due to the increased air volume but decreased velocity. So you will loose about 10ft/p of torque through most of the revs. However the peak torque near to the top of the rev range will be about 10ft/p higher. I was quite dissapointed actually when I first drove mine after the lower runner port. But after the tune and getting used tot the different power band, I'm happy with it. Long story short, a full port of the runners is good for up top but not down low. The upper however improved everything on mine.
    Keep at it brother!

  • @AverageGamerJoe1

    something worth mentioning is the oil cap mod would only be necessary IF youre boosted, wasted money if youre not. you already have a pcv line for high rpm on the drivers side that connects to the intake and uses the intake to help get rid of excessive crankcase pressure, extremely pointless if youre NA honestly. Just trying to help people save money, not everyone knows or explain it well enough for people. Shouldnt be said but do your research before buying anything someone tells you to get!

    • @IsThatGeneral
      @IsThatGeneral  2 года назад

      You’re correct, but that line doesn’t help with all of the excess pressure in the block and crankcase. Why not spend $60 to relieve even more pressure from the crankcase? Plus a lot of people want to run nitrous or boost anyways and don’t even know about this part for their VQ, so might as well spend that tiny $60 and be ahead of the game plus helping out your engine more.

    • @AverageGamerJoe1
      @AverageGamerJoe1 2 года назад +1

      @@IsThatGeneral you cant say everyone should have this on their g35 when you dont know what youre talking about. pcv systems dont get supplied boost like turbos or superchargers which is why its pointless NA. Not to mention theres pcv lines on each valve cover JUST for crankcase pressure, that will literally do their job just fine because engineers spent time working on that to not be a problem (while NA). AND if you read the description on the link you gave someone else in the comments, it literally says it has a check ball so WHEN you hit boost itll help with the pressure, which means when NA that thing is doing absolutely nothing because it takes a certain psi of boost to make the check ball move. the amount of people who actually boost their g's are way less than the people putting intakes and other mods, so you cant be saying every g35 need this, please if youre gonna be telling people to buy something, be specific. theres plenty of other g35 youtubers who do a good job at that and would cry of laughter watching this video

    Those MREV2 lowers are actually DE lower plenums. If you compare a revup lower plenum the runners are shorter which is why it’s targeted more to the revup VQ because they will get better gains with the longer runners that the DE’s have. That’s why you keep saying you think you have a MREV lower already because it’s the exact same lower with I think very minimal porting.. if I’m not mistaken it even says in there website DE owners only see about a 3hp gain in the mid range unlike REVUP motors have a much higher gains

    Guys, if your ecu doesn’t know that more air is coming through then there’s no power gain. You have to tune and re tune after every add on. Without a retune you ain’t shit but a laugh to the real tuners

    • @smoke_sum597
      @smoke_sum597 4 месяца назад

      @@IsThatGeneral dawg. It says it in the manuals and on google. 280whp for the automatic, 307 whp for the manual version. Hondas are the ones that make less then 250. If your G35 is making less then 300hp it means it either has high mileage and some parts are worn, or you might need a serious retune. Cars lose horsepower over time, you gotta remember these are 20+ year old cars now. The G coupe was made in 2003, and the manual performance model with brembos made 307 hp along with the 350z nismo. My g coupe with 190k miles still makes 293 on the dyno bone stock. After I retuned it, it went to 297, I changed the injectors and fuel pump and got it to 305. All stock parts, 90% of them are OEM. Not hating I fw your build, G’s aswell as Z’s are my favorite car and I work on them regularly. I’m just speaking the core facts of those models.💯 The sedan made a lil less horsepower but it wasn’t under 260.

      @IsThatGeneral  4 месяца назад

      @@smoke_sum597 I’ve never seen a g35 coupe with the vq35de make 300whp bone stock bro. Maybe the HR, but not the DE. I’ve watched so many others build their DE’s and also had my own VQ club with homies hitting the dyno with mods only making 260/270. It’s a known thing that’s it’s hard to hit 300whp with a DE if you don’t have cams, but go ahead and subscribe for me my boi because I’ll be getting tuned and hitting the dyno after these next three mods. We’re going to see if it’ll hit 300whp & I’m true full bolt on.
