when should we expect the Himalayan 650
The issue is not only service but also there dealers, went into a royal Enfield dealer in Bangalore and I was left unattended for 30 minutes and I just got up and moved out of the RE showroom and dropped the plan to buy a RE
Actually dont have the plan to buy RE
Same here they r not interested to attend customer
Lost a costomer
Service experience varies...u may also have best experience at some places
Trust me …RE dealers are pushing for best….u just can’t imagine how worse it would even become if any other regular brand dealer handles it!
More bike podcasts , India is the largest bike market, it only makes sense
Reading so many comments mentioning RE is struggling and every 2nd 200+cc bike I see on road is a RE
18 HP with 350cc. Can't imagine for 250cc 👀
20hp and 27nm
250 has to be oil cooled to produce atleast 14hp
250 has to be atleast oil cooled to able to be produce 14hp
Exactly! They can't be seriously targeting young buyers with those numbers, no matter what the total experience or capabilities of the said rider will be. Also with E20 Engine will be less powerful & less efficient & heavy RE bike, will cause more oil to be used, may feel lethargic to an active young buyer.
They need to pump out atleast 22-25hp power with 6 speed GB!
Same concern 😂

Why YAMAHA is unwilling to bring in XSR-155?
FZ-X is a good product for India but NO MATCH to XSR-155.
Aerox - worst suspension of the world of scooters.
Please do an elaborate analysis on YAMAHA plans for India. Seems they are unwilling to go ahead.
The japanese bike & car manufacturers as a whole have lost their way around the world & even more so in India
FZ X looks horrible
If XSR comes to India, will it disrupt the Indian market?
aerox is not an activa, hence why the hard suspension lol. And FZX is not at all a good or successful product.
Absolutely, XSR looks the best , has a proven engine and platform, how difficult is it !
The issue with RE is no quality check of final product and sales and services ! They release wonderful designs and now even Liquid cooled engine but fail in the above !
they need to revive the 500 platform. Everything in the market, especially the threat from the HD-Hero partnership seems to be crying for it's return
It's good to see Rishad on the podcast!
I am willing to move into 650, but I wont make compromises that I made in the 350cc. It has to have good suspension, pillion comfort, good ergo, proper foot-peg position. I don’t mind paying but the product has to be premium.
It was my dream too, to buy RE 650 cc bike and get married. But when I hear the friends who already owned those bikes. I want to wait many more years.
My 2 paise , i see a market for a retro 400-500 cc (not a water cooled , maximum oil cooler) 270 degree crank ( minimum vibration), alloy wheels , twin siencer tucked close to swing arm , retro chrome and round headlight with twin pod instrument cluster with sufficient ground clearance, centre stand and a maximum 800-815 mm seat height , good rider triangle for someone from 5'7"to 6'.0" and slack in cable to accommodate about 50 mm handle bar raisers .
Bike riding experts keep saying 250-400 cc is the ideal bike for Indian roads including. There was a rush for 400 cc post Dominar and Himalayan followed by Triumph and Harley
Royal Enfield 250cc roadster scrambler version for accessibility of Nationwide 2026 celebration of 125 Year's Royal Enfield motorcycle was built in 1901 by The Enfield Cycle Company... waiting for the New 250 capacity Roadster Scrambler for India
250cc RE will be equivalent to 100cc Bajaj in power😂
I don't know why people liked Classic 350,
Bullet 350 Makes More Sense, More Attractive, Macho Looks, If We Buy Black Mate and Modified with Associaries Company Seat, Back Rest, Chakra Silver Wheel, it Looks Like Harley and Looks Gentle, Macho Man and Awesome.💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Last 10 mins.. Man spoke on behalf of all RE fans. :')
Will there ever be a Himalayan 650? Any development or planning happening on that front?
Want to see Shotgun styled bike in 350/450cc avatar ... Body style available and engine size already there 🤞
Aise hi 350 mein weight jyada aur power kum hai, 250 mein aayegi toh aise lagega jaise splendor chala rahe hain 😂💀
Re has to think of making a simple bike like the rx or rd with (air or max oil cooled to keep the cost of wonership and maintenance in check) 25 to 30 bhp 250 to 300 cc bike which can be customized the way customer wants.
Can't their expertise is on the long stroke engine...
Merge two 450cc engines inline to make a 900cc engine ( with R&D) , for future cafe racers, roadstars , adv. Cruisers , touring cruisers, scramblers.
Awesome!! Now kindly update the hunter with a LED headlight!! Halogen looks dated on it, tbh!
Design it like RD350🔥
A little bit modern with modern functionality
A Podcast on Yamaha India.
Listening to Rishad is joyful 👍🏼
Wonderful podcast rishad and ketan good and insightful discussion 👏.
Do a podcast on inconsistent QC issues and Service Centre issues for Tata. Specifically how Mahindra & Maruti manages these issues but Tata can’t.
A wishful thinking of mine would be to see a tenere 700 competitor from RE
make a air and oil cooled 250cc bike with around 20-22hp...... upbore the 650cc engines to 750 cc or 800cc and make them produce 60hp-65hp in the premium classic segment...... they should make a 750cc "R" engine for enttry into the premium performance oriented bikes making around 90hp-100hp....... take two 250cc engines combine them to make a v twin like the kx model producing around 40hp that may take the place of the current 650cc linup...... this v twin can just may fill the blank left by the iron 883......
the 250cc bikes should not be retro bikes and produce less torque so as to not kill the 350cc linup........
its just my fantasy..... but yeah , itt is what it is
when should we expect the Himalayan 650
Any update on 750cc?
Rishad looks like motogp s rider pecco bagnia ❤
M i right or M i right 😊
I remember when I first bought pulsar 150 in 2002, people used to come in a car to bike meetups! This shows the aukaat of motorcycle in india
RE has previously sold sub 350cc bikes in India such as the Crusader and the Mini Bullet
Again new 350 cc is in development?
Is this new bike Guirella or different model??
AN year back I had created a post and shared this idea with RE on linkedin, but i am facing issue sin service quality and they need to increase the service centers more in bigger cities
I would probably buy the 250cc RE bike as my next upgrade. I work in the outskirts in the city and have to commute to the city once a week. So the 350cc is too much for the city, while the 160cc Avenger that I ride is slightly underpowered on the open roads. 250cc, and especially an urban cruiser would strike head-to-head with the Avenger, probably breaking open its monopoly in the segment.
250cc ki bike aayi to tabahi mach jayegi 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I'm hoping for a road biased neo retro motorcycle which shares the similar design language with the globally available yamaha xsr. If they manage to do something like that, im definitely buying it. I may be very overly optimistic here but shhh😂😂
Expecting a fully fared sports bike
😂😂😂
Royal Enfield should launch an alternate brand and launch the new vehicles under that brand. Let the RE badge be with the classic, retro bikes and the new brand bring in bikes of different segments. Market the new brand as RE's sister company.
If u could reduce the weight of the bike and give performance like a 350 cc bike it would be a great deal .As 250 cc bike would give mileage of around 40 km per liter its going to be a great deal and game changer for the brand .Could copy what TVS ronin did how it compete with hunder even though it's 220 cc bike .And the top model on the road price should be 2 lakhs max .
Waiting for the Classic 650!
Bullet 650 Make More Senses, Looks Like Harley, Macho and Gentle Looks.
I think it should be a 200cc motorcycle. (Not kidding!) I mean that would create the 150cc gap between the segments: 200cc, 350cc, 500cc (RE should revive the Classic/Bullet 500), the 650cc twin-cylinder, and the 800cc concept.
Plz bring fully liquid cooled 650 engines such that numbers will increase
Continental GT 250cc scrambler look ❤
If they make this plugin hybrid, they should ask govt for some tax concession on it and get it approved as an entirely new segment
Enfield need 250cc bullet and old exhaust thump mileage incrise 40plus if it's done that's a great revolution ❤❤❤
interceptor & gt with 17 inch wheels and better suspensions, maybe usd
Can't find spare parts for RE. And quality issues.
Royal Enfield really needs to work on the quality of products that are being offered for a premium.
I have a barely 3 year old Continental GT 650 which has been towed off twice, once for a fuel pump that went kaput and once for a self starter fault. The exhaust header has fully rusted through and the company refuses to replace it.
Overall very happy with the product, but utterly disappointed with the quality.
Why no one talks about Honda and their BigWing dealerships.
Waiting to see ROYAL ENFIELD 1000CC Bike. RE need to work on higher CC. They are know for more cc more power
R E s R& D rigidity to not go below 350 cc doesnt allow R E to sell in millions. BUT it shold not go below 250cc considering power to weight ratio..
Where’s the 750cc bike, they’ve been working for such a long time!
it will probably have 13hp with 160kg... :)
It's not a new thing for re I think the first bike of a re was a 250 cc bike..even royal Enfield continental GT was first launched with a 250 cc engine
Dear royal enfield classic 350 Bs4 2019 model please relaunch many peoples and my favorite Design so please relaunch immediately in 2025 till waiting for relaunch
indians request
I have to say this.
Before normal Indian volume buyers go for 650s or 750s , they will go for a car and we are wanting a car people. Tough times coming for every bike manufacturers.
Difficult to predict! With increasing PCI buyers may go for higher capacity bikes! And many households despite having cars may still go for higher capacity bikes.
setting up assembly units in UK probably made sense before brexit. exporting from britain to mainland europe is now very disadvantageous. As for the US, it's very simple, the young do not have any money. It's heavily concentrated in the hands of the 50+ year old demographic which have no interest in royal enfields. I think this applies to the UK as well with the severe economic crisis they're in.
I hope a 200kg, 250cc bike can at least move
bike will come in next year .
For me mileage is important for 250 cc
My experience with RE dealer was as horrible as it could have been. It was so terrible that I dropped the idea of getting one twice... But since I loved the bike, i bought it anyway. Thereafter came the true nightmare, the god awful service! 😶😶.
It made me feel I made a mistake (happy with the bike, disappointed with the service)
Bring in a 250cc twin that puts out 30 bhp at 1.5 Lakhs and RE would become untouchable.
Taxes are too high in India
A more accessible 250cc is not a good idea.
Gt 450 was needed instead we got the guerilla 450
Guerilla is more practical than GT !
Why new RE bikes are developed in UK, are Indian engineers not capable to build a good product here!!
And Indian brands really dont build many engines, they just build a platform and bring out different style bikes on the same platform. Is it really that hard to build a engine even for a multi million dollar auto company, with best talent in the country at their disposal, vendor network, etc!!!
Looking at quality of Indian engineering colleges, it's no surprise engineers here are good in paper only..real engineering will always be done by countries that have better colleges and excellent r&d environment... Indian companies will always rely on foreign talent . Indian engineers will not do any pioneering research for upcoming several decades and will continue to get jobs in low end discarded western technology.....
If they want to make a 250cc then they have to make it a short stroke or else a long stroke 250 from RE would be as slow af.
So they'll have 250, 350, 450, 650.. only 550 is missing
Averag age of India is going older...
RE is in a Killing Spree 🎉🎉🎉
I own RE classic 350, it sucks in terms of initial tourqe, my 9 years old honda 110 cc has better low end tourqe. Will never buy another RE.
They should not ….why they want to become like hero
They can bring interceptor/continental gt in 250 cc/350 cc..😂 i'll buy it then...650 is aukat k bahar
Royal enfield is a step down. Not at all reliable
The Youth doesn't want an electric RE.
