Brilliant video. can't get enough of all your content, I learn so much! And this new format with you and Claire presenting together is a great addition to your channel. Thank you for all your hard work🙏
Really love your videos. but would really appreciate a video about clothes that work well in really cold weather like we get in the Scandinavian countries.
Brilliant as always, love seeing you two side by side, so useful as I'm tall and can picture how clothes would look on me after seeing them on Claire. Such a great tip about showing a little bit of sleeve or collar under a jumper. Thank you x
Thank you ladies,a great video showing very wearable looks, that fit the brief perfectly! I especially loved seeing how to style bold/bright colours and I loved Clare's tangerine suit on her. It's elegant, tasteful and modern, especially combined with the touches of white,in the t shirt and sneakers. I have a pair of navy wide leg pants with a silver stripe, like the ones you were modelling Melissa, and I liked how you styled them with a bright jumper and the blouse peeking underneath. I think I will steal that idea, thank you.🙂🌺
Absolutely love this style of video, thank you so much 😀 I would love to see this style of video again but with a size 16 or 18 model for example, as although you and Clare are different sizes, in reality her height means the net effect is that you look so similar shape wise in the outfits (and a size 14 or 16 who was 5’3 for example would look very different)
Love your videos Melissa. Showing pieces both on you and Claire is really helpful. I’m on the taller side so it does help to see them on Claire. Happy to hear you’ll be doing these once a month. Thank you both 🙏
Great idea, that large mirror on the left. This way we can see you ladies from the side as well! Always looking forward to the weekly new videos. Thank you so much.
I love your videos and have learned many styling tips. I would love to see a video on wearing the right size clothing whether it be too small or too big.
I found an olive green jacket and some olive green sneakers, and I feel so cool now. I can pop on both with so many items and bam! I'm looking cute! 😆Your tips have been really helpful. I've gained confidence and feel more attractive and put together. Thank you for your content!
I was excited to see the first example with the wide leg pants as I just got a pair and wasn't sure how to style them. You always teach me something. Having you and Claire together was helpful.
You are such a good teacher. I learn so much about style from watching your videos. Claire is wonderful as well. Thank you for all of your efforts they are appreciated. Oh, and I loved that black and white blazer that Claire wore and now you are wearing it to close out the video.
Hi Ladies. Another great video and I'm learning so much, however I and i'm sure so many of your viewers don't currently have the money to go out and replace their wardrobe in these current times. This is not a negative as I have learned how to add shoulder pads to create volume at the top, maybe roll up the hem of my trouser to add a bit of skin on my ankle, add jewellery etc etc. Maybe a video of those wrong items of clothing (for example you Melissa showed how wrong a top was, the one with the V neck and short sleeve with foldover which we all have, I certainly do) but made right. So you said this is what we see from our clients so maybe show the errors but keeping the outfit and making it look right. I know you sort of do this but I now just look at my wardrobe and think its all wrong so I want to use my current wardrobe not get rid of it if you follow my drift. I certainly know that I need to definitely purchase the neutral tops but I certainly cant purchase a whole new wardrobe. You did sort of do this the other week when you showed the consultation with the lovely lady (cant remember her name) and she got items out of her wardrobe. That was a great video, like all your videos
Totally get your point and as you noticed, that’s exactly what we do with our clients but it’s hard to replicate this as we don’t own many of the dates pieces!
That trick about the white shirt under the sweater has really helped me. I understand what it does for the outfit. I just use a white T shirt and love how it looks. I also use camel under the sweater, thanks so much for your advice. I am 67 and love my minimal classic capsule wardrobe, but need to have certain style tricks to make it work. I am 5”2 and 130 pounds so I wear a 8 I update it with accessories I just love fashion and your videos…🇺🇸
Yours is the first subscription I have ever had and enjoying immensely. Wished I found you years ago. Love Monty is featured too, pets are wonderful. -Canada
Love this video love when Claire is with you. I thought the black Crossbody with a green sweater was too short for her though. It looked much better on you because it hit you at the hip.
That tan leather skirt is amazing! Would love a whole video on pants. What pants can be ankle grazers, what pants need to be almost floor length, why some palazos can be floor length and some ankle grazers? I get so confused on what to look for, maybe I'm missing something? I'm five foot tall and have such a hard time knowing what to wear so I don't look like a rectangle.
I always really love your videos and was looking forward to this one especially. However so many outfit ideas involved white trainers or leather trousers and I think they would be frowned upon in most professional environments..I know my boss wouldn't like it. Still, lots of helpful tips and I really enjoy your 'bad outfit' comparisons and find that really useful.
I've only recently discovered styling videos on You Tube and I absolutely love yours. In the past two weeks, I've learned so much about how to style my body and I've been able to use so much in my closet that I loved but that never looked good on me. I've ordered shoulder pads and they are a game-changer. When watching your videos, I keep a notepad with me and I take photos. Thank you and I look forward to many more videos and tips. Oh, and I love when Monty makes an appearance.
Perfect timing for a work wear video! I always have to lose a layer for Sydney weather which is a shame thank you Melissa and Claire once again for all your ideas
And I'm in Minnesota with piles of snow on the ground shaking my head over ankle pants and slingback kitten heels. I guess that's why style does vary by region.
Loved this video! I so appreciate the way you teach specific practical tips on how to work with our proportions. Our bodies are all so different and also perfect in their own way. You really help us shine as individuals. Thank you so much!
I'd love to see a styling video for the tradeswoman!! I am a CNC Machinist in the US and I need functional, hard working clothes, that move with me as I work, wash well, won't tear or stain easily.... And preferably, don't make me look like I'm dressing up in my husband's clothes! Love the videos!!
Love all the outfits practical and elevated. The 'wrong' outfits are what I see in school staffrooms all the time and I had a few myself until I watched you and learned how to tweak things.
Hello from Melbourne Australia. Another great video! You and Claire make a fab team. More workwear/smart casual content please. I really appreciate all the wonderful tips and tricks you share.
I am just salivating over Clare's wide leg black pants. I have a few pairs similar to this and I absolutely love the style!! I wear mine with sneakers too!! I also am fan of tucking the top in an inverted U. Love your videos!!! Great advice!!!
So nice and good to hear that you 2 also have trousers with waistband, 👍I’m almost 55 and I want to wear confortable trousers and those are with waistband! 😂
I enjoy your videos and I am learning quite a bit as I have no style . Could you do a video for ladies who get hot and cannot wear all those layers . Your outfits are beautiful but I cannot wear a long sleeve shirt under a jumper under a blazer . I would go up in flames! Thanks !
Thank you so much, I am in my late 60’s and still working and love clothes,my dress code at work is casual smart but practical so your video was perfect . I can’t afford to make mistakes on new clothes (but too often do😢) so I am now on the hunt for a pair of faux leather trousers and a coloured trouser suit to update my wardrobe.
I just found your videos and am binge watching! LOL. Learning so much and especially appreciative of anything helpful on drawing attention away from the stomach area!
It’s sinking in that I need to have more solids over patterns in my wardrobe. Claire described me perfectly when she said “magpie!” Solid colours always look more elegant, anyway! Thanks to you both for another fabulous video. I’m travelling to London in a month and this video is very timely. I need to be smart casual in the daytime and a bit more dressy for evenings out. 😘 Hugs from Mary in Florida 🌺
Great video as always! Especially the quick tips that flash past, like don't tuck the shirt all the way in. Love seeing the long coats and bags, but what happens when you get to work and take all of that off? I don't walk around the office all day with my bag...
That’s why the rest of your outfit has to work as you take off the layers so it might be a gold long necklace that breaks the outfit up. There’s only so much we can show in a video…
Perhaps you could do a video on how to update and style the red top look. I'm sure if it was on a cat walk model it would look stunning. Some people like and suit prints and they can give outfits personality
Your vids have been soo! helpful in getting me out of my "lazy yoga look". Do you do any styling for men? Would lov to see a little special MASTER CLASS on mens current causal/professional work wear! :)
I am coming to the UK for the first time in April and it would be my dream to meet you. I watch you all the time and think you are just so incredibly talented ! Thank you for sharing so many wonderful tips to help embrace our curves and be the best version of ourselves ❤
Looking forward to the next video! Please dress a 5'7"+ US 0/UK 4 with long legs. Elasticized waists look incredibly sloppy on me, ditto for any type of jogger. "Ankle" length pants look like bad for reasons I don't understand. Hard to find a blazer with long enough arms and not too baggy around the middle, etc.
Love watching your videos and get so many ideas and tips. I have several pairs of wide leg trousers and jeans and tend to style them with my vagabond trainers which have a platform sole. On your videos it always looks like the hems are dragging on the floor and I must admit a couple of my jeans have dragged and frayed on the hem. How can I get the right length without messing about taking hems up. I tend to buy long jeans as they go best with flats. And extra long when I want to wear with a platform or high heels. Most of my jeans come from Next as they are the only ones that fit me best in the waist and length. You both look fab by the way and seem to work really well together!
Firstly in our videos a lot of the clothes have to go back to the shops so we can’t take them up but ordinarily when we buy jeans for ourselves then we cut them to suit our shoes but the key is that our heels and platform trainers are the same height so the jeans work with both types of shoes. We always cut them as long as possible but without touching the floor X
@@mmpersonalstyling Brilliant thank you. I like my hems as long as possible usually. Makes sense now you have explained. Please keep on showing us how to style up. Really look forward to watching your videos. X
Thanks again for your very informative video Melissa. I am 5' 4" (probably shrunk a bit now at 67), size 12-14 AU with a big bust and a large apron tummy. I think the half tuck in the front of skirts and pants looks good if you don't have too much tummy but I feel it just highlights mine. I can clearly see that clothes look more frumpy not tucked in, but I can't get it to work for me. Brilliant videos-your approach is unique!
Have you seen my video where I dresses a lovely lady who had an apron stomach? If not have a watch as hopefully you’ll see how well the tuck works on her. Here’s the link for you ruclips.net/video/yBx40E7URcY/видео.html
@@mmpersonalstyling Thank you Melissa, I'll have another look at it. Ultimately it probably gets down to personal perception and comfort -a bit like how much skin you're happy to expose. love your work.
Brilliant video. can't get enough of all your content, I learn so much! And this new format with you and Claire presenting together is a great addition to your channel. Thank you for all your hard work🙏
Great to hear! I’ll be dragging her on as much as possible!!!
I need a part 2- this is my favourite segment I think
Didn't want the video to end.! great tips and outfit inspo, thank you Melissa and Claire.x
You are so welcome!
Really appreciate the use of trainers in these, cause there’s no way I’m wearing heels ever.
Really love your videos. but would really appreciate a video about clothes that work well in really cold weather like we get in the Scandinavian countries.
My sister and I just purchased a few items from this video! They are absolutely timeless, as you said!
Wonderful! I’m surprised you can still get the items as this was a while ago but I’m glad you did. Hope you love them!
Between eBay, Poshmark and google image search you can find anything!
Thank you for demonstrating how it looks to leave the first outfit top untucked, what a difference that can’t be unseen or denied!!!
So true!
Brilliant as always, love seeing you two side by side, so useful as I'm tall and can picture how clothes would look on me after seeing them on Claire. Such a great tip about showing a little bit of sleeve or collar under a jumper. Thank you x
I really love your videos and learn so much from them. Definitely appreciate all the hard work you put into them, I know its not easy.
That’s really kind of you to notice, thank you x
Thank you ladies,a great video showing very wearable looks, that fit the brief perfectly!
I especially loved seeing how to style bold/bright colours and I loved Clare's tangerine suit on her. It's elegant, tasteful and modern, especially combined with the touches of white,in the t shirt and sneakers.

We do have fun together but Clare doesn’t enjoy being on camera I’m afraid so I have to respect that x

My question also!
That’s why the rest of your outfit has to work as you take off the layers so it might be a gold long necklace that breaks the outfit up. There’s only so much we can show in a video…

Love watching your videos and get so many ideas and tips. I have several pairs of wide leg trousers and jeans and tend to style them with my vagabond trainers which have a platform sole. How can I get the right length without messing about taking hems up. I tend to buy long jeans as they go best with flats. And extra long when I want to wear with a platform or high heels. Most of my jeans come from Next as they are the only ones that fit me best in the waist and length.
