Rex Splode is a core members of the Guardians team who we’ve seen build a friendship with Mark Grayson over the course of the Invincible series despite his rough beginnings, however it’s when it comes time for the Invincible War when Rex Splode’s true colors come out for the first time, and those colors are all different shades of red and orange, as when the Invincible War breaks out and we see alternate versions of Mark Grayson cutting a swatch across the planet earth, it comes down to the Guardians of the Globe to take down one of these dangerous Mark Variants, which proves to be far too much of a task for this small team. As Invincible tears through Kate, the Immortal, and everyone else, Robot and some others arrive grabbing everyone and carrying them away on Rex Splode’s orders, knowing that things are truly as bad as they can get. As Monster girl screams for Robot to take her back, we see as Mark’s Variant holds Rex up by his neck holding up the bloody mess that is our hero, as he tells him that was nice but what did it accomplish? When i’m done with you i’ll just go after them? He tells Rex that no matter what little knick knack he pulls out of his pocket to charge and explode, it won’t be able to do anything to mark, but as he questions Rex one more time, saying what are you going to charge? Rex replies, my skeleton as he charges his body full of unstable molecules and detonates, evaporating him & the Invincible Variant holding him at point blank range.

@@Adeply11yeah, we know Viltrumites have a Zenkai boost basically, where the more they fight and get their ass beat, the stronger they become. Which is why a Mark in his 20s is able to fight on par with Viltrumites Thousands of years old (and as we know, the older they are, the stronger they are... Until Conquest, whose started to weaken from being so old lol)
It’s probably just as strong as multiple nukes, but a more condensed blast. If you could make a nuke that only exploded in a 20 foot radius, it’s exploding point would probably be far more destructive while remaining a smaller blast, as all the heat and energy is trapped inside this much more compact area.

I recall Eve healing Mark and Herself and she mentions she may have rebuilt them a bit stronger. So that's another advantage for Invincible.

Not only could he charge his skeleton because of that but also the energy source that powers his explosions in the first place. He might be able to do it to others but that would just end up hurting rex and being less effective. This is sadly a Rexsplode exclusive.

This is a crazy feat. Omniman tank a laser weapon worth 400billion. It didn't do anything, even the costume was fine. Viltrumites are durable asf. So the fact he basically Hakai an evil verson of mark is impressive.

I think this would've been cooler if Rex charged INVINCIBLE'S skeleton. He still would've died, but it at least would've made more sense how he managed to kill a viltrumite. And the writers wouldn't have to deal with Rex doing this all the time in the story because he'd die after the first time he tries it.
A mini nuke can obvi kill them, also it would be dumb if he could supercharge his skeleton.
