Jon Spencer is the Man that other guys in bands who lack rock abilities shall never become, instead they become "Judges" on TV shows , write crappy songs,etc...
They are rockabilly just a bit, aren’t they? “Rock abilities” triggered that. But I really think they are, just a bit. And you can’t name your band Jon Spencer Blues Explosion (and NOT be a blues band, even) without brass balls. I envision an over-50 white dude with a soul patch and a Harley-Davidson vest paying the cover charge to see the band. Then coming dangerously close to contracting the blues himself when he finds out it’s not at all what he expected. That had to happen more than once, for sure.

Lesson.
If you in the middle of making a nice big beef to yourself, do not search youtube and find a new video from your favorite band.

Very Rare to see a band come back and release something as good as when they were in their "golden era". This is excellent. More like the stuff on "Orange" and "Now I Got Worry". They still know how to Fuck that Shit Up!
