The best meal for liver detox: • Eggs cooked with onions, garlic, and sea salt • Cruciferous vegetables • Kefir with walnuts and low-carb, no-sugar chocolate chips • Add herbs to your meal like thyme, sage, oregano, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and rosemary Thank you Dr Berg! 🐱👍🏿
LOL, that's close to what I eat. Don't get much kefir or walnuts. I'd say plenty of extra virgin olive oil should be in there. I also eat a lot of wild sardines and salmon. PS: Oh yeah, though I don't get kefir, I get greek yogurt, kimchi and sauerkraut.

I will NEVER get bored of learning about the liver and general well being. My wife always says “surely you know everything now?” But no, always learning and I love it. Thank you Doc from the UK! 🇬🇧✌🏻
@@grogdizzy5814 You guys aren't the only ones though, who have somewhat disapproving partners. I need to tread carefully with my boyfriend, concerning what I share with him. He is skeptical of all "youtube doctors", after having witnessed friends being scammed, and I do understand that. Some skepticism and caution is always healthy. But so is looking into different things, maybe experiment a little oneself, and using some time to read people's comments and personal experiences. Dr. Berg surely isn't always flawless (I've noticed other doctors commenting here, some voicing disagreement on a detail or other but on the whole commending him for sharing useful information), but he seems to be among the relatively few who takes his "mission" seriously, by reading up on things and trying to keep himself as well informed as possible, before throwing it out here to the audience. So yes, being cautious is healthy, but not to the extreme of missing out on info that might help one obtain the desired and/or needed health.
@@sandgrownun66 I tried that. It seems medical staff and “professionals” are usually last to get the memo when it comes to the newest medical science. My own GP had no idea medical Cannabis was legal in the UK…it has been since 2018. My experience with GPs is that they like to prescribe pharmaceuticals rather than actually try to identify the root cause of a problem.
I totally love how pleasant your voice is and encouraging to make positive changes. There are others I don't watch because they yell or they get overly excited, not that I blame the excitement, but it can be a bit much. Your calm demeanor and in the way you explain everything so detailed makes it easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos to provide everyone with good advice and health care. You truly are an amazing doctor. The humble doctor.
Thanks Dr. Berg, i just finished my first 48 hours. I feel great and light on my feet. Was diagnosed with NAFLD. Working to restore my full body to healthy mode. Your videos are helpful. Love from West Africa 🇬🇭 Ghana
What I admire most about your videos Dr Eric is that, the videos are short and go straight to the point. I can take my time and make notes and jump straight to another video. Thank you 🙏🏾
I said exactly the same thing yesterday on another video. Very useful for sending to friends.. no one wants to hear 45 mins of waffle. Dr berg implement written and visual learning along with his narrating skills. This is why he has such a diverse collection of subscribers.
Thank you dr Berg !!! I was 220 pounds when I met you, I’m 5”8 I was with liver pain ,bloating a lot of stress , I began following your advice ,.. I did a liver flush and got sooo many bile stones out!! …and I had no shoulder pain leading up to that. Of course, a person could have shoulder pain. Just sayin’… no shoulder pain does not mean no bile stones. I felt SOO aMAzing after that flush!! So much energy and wellbeing feelings.
@@richarddenison5997 I followed the protocol laid out in a book by Andreas Moritz: "The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Flush"... The crux of the flush is to drink olive oil and grapefruit juice to trigger the bile release, but there are additional important steps to make it work properly and safely. Obviously, as just taking olive oil normally will not flush your liver. I'm sure you've had olive oil in normal eating, and it doesn't flush your liver... There are other variations of this flush protocol out there, but I really like the way Andreas sets it up... with 6 days of preparation to soften the stones, careful protocols to make the flush safe and comfortable, and then a clean up protocol afterward to make sure all the stones are moved successfully through and out the colon.
@@Allison11111 It’s best to allocate a morning where you can freely access the bathroom at any moment until about noon. You might have normalcy return sooner than that. But it varies. So that’s the safe zone I create for myself. And that only applies to the morning after the olive oil concoction. Well, actually it depends on what method you choose for colon cleansing after the flush. That may have its own bathroom dependencies. These days, I use several doses of psyllium seed husk, the first two after all liver flush protocols are complete and before I eat anything. I’ll just add, btw, that right now, I am finding Beet Flow to be a more appropriate support for Phase 3 detoxification, with occasional bile salts supplementation on an empty stomach with no HCL in the supplement. Beet Flow thins the bile, which may be called for if your bile got thick. In my experience, both the flush protocol and the bile thinning protocol are helpful and have their own purpose. It’s good to have both a hammer and a screw gun in your toolbox. You’ll need one or the other, depending what’s going on. The bile salts supplementation is yet another tool. And IF yet another tool. And keto. All these tools have been so important for improving my liver health, and I still have a way to go. But I’m see new improvement lately.

I am so interested in this. I have liver and gallbladder issues but am concerned about where I would acquire Tudca. Was this a product you got from Dr. Berg's online?
@@Marypartain996 I had those problems too... The Tudca I used came from Ebay, I simply couldn't afford the more expensive stuff from Dr. Berg. I found a reputable seller, with a highly reviewed product, and bought it. I am currently using 1000mg once a day. The first batch I took at 500mg twice daily. All I know, is it worked a miracle in me... I also invested in Berberine and tumeric, which also helped immensely, but as of now, the Tudca is keeping me from chest pains and digestive problems... Good luck!
Shaking that jar to mix up and break down the fat was also representative of the fact that exercise is Key to keeping things mixed properly inside so that they digest easier.
Only problem I have with watching Dr Berg, is I come for 1 video, but he so excellently links you up with more on the same topic, I always end up spending way more time here than I wanted to. Tho it's not really a complaint, I mean I learn so much from this channel
Eggs - cooked with onions & garlic w sea salt sprinkled on top Cruciferous veggies ie broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, arugula - the more bitter the better Add herbs if possible ie thyme, sage, turmeric, rosmary, cayenne pepper, oregano, etc. Kiefer with walnuts as dessert
@@Richard-xg1vv Chop up onion first and fry it off in your pan (natural real butter - not marg, grass-fed ghee, organic coconut oil or extra virgin cold pressed olive oil). When the onions are just about done add your garlic to the pan over medium heat, which only needs about 30 seconds to cook. Then pour in 2-3 eggs (whisk together with a fork prior). Gently fold (not stir) the eggs around over the heat for about 30 seconds, then remove for 10 seconds while folding. Continue this a few times; which will help fluff the eggs while they cook. When your eggs are about 2/3 cooked, add pink Himalayan sea salt and cracked pepper (to aid nutrient absorption). If you’re adding herbs, add some cayenne before the eggs (stir it through - a heap of health benefits), add dried herbs with your onion to give them time to cook and release their flavour, or add lightly dried or fresh herbs (eg. Oregano) about 2/3 the way through with the salt and pepper. This meal is also a great opportunity to add more nutritional value by adding chopped kale and/or spinach (add them with the onion) and add some sprouts (alfalfa or broccoli) raw on top at the end. I personally use the olive oil first for the onions and do add real, preservative and additive-free, butter before adding the eggs. This is also a good opportunity to add some cabbage and even some broccoli if you want; which can be added to the onions about half way through. Even better - also add some nutritional yeast, personally I add some to the egg while cooking and sprinkle it on top after. 🤤
What I do for dessert or dinner or sometimes breakfast is homemade kefir + blueberries + walnuts + cinnamon + chia seed that I let soak in the kefir for 20 min, sometimes I add vanilla.
So glad a watcher below laid this out... I have followed you for years and this is the most convoluted presentation I have ever watched of yours Dr. Berg
I'm known as a sous chef and I am reading these recipes. I can maybe add a little flavor and interest to your meals: GF pasta small chickpea or rice & corn a replacement for spaetzle dumplings Spinach Field Greens Mix Mushrooms Rosemary Thyme Pink Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper Eggs Avocado Oil optional Sesame Seeds optional Boil GF pasta for 6 minutes in salted water, drain, remove, and cut into smaller pieces. About in 3rds. Set aside. Take a large fry pan, heat avocado oil, add mushrooms, sesame seeds, and garlic sautee, and add onions, salt, thyme, pepper, spinach, field greens, reserved pasta and sautee. Remove from pan. Add more avocado oil. Add eggs. Cook eggs sunnside up, salt and pepper, plus some rosemary and thyme on top of the eggs as they cook. Place the mushrooms etc., on plates, the eggs on top. You are done--take a seat. 🙌 I like to cook my eggs in a little hot pepper 🌶️ that's up to you.
This is great but for healing your liver, no pasta, no mushrooms, no seed oil, no beans/corn. That’s why he says cruciferous veggies, dark leafy greens and protein.
I realized how important is it to have a healthy liver . Have been on hospital visits for liver biopsy and ct . All started with ca colon . And delayed colonoscopy.
Thank you! From watching and following all your videos, I no longer see food as entertainment, and my one meal a day consists of protein and cruciferous with a few pistachios or pecans! Thank you for helping me live my best life!

I’d consider myself healthy compared to the rest of the U.S. That’s not saying a whole lot, I’ve been made aware of the awful things in our food and it freaked me out. I enjoy lifting weights and bodybuilding which usually requires cooking my own meals, I grew a love for it and had NO CLUE just how bad vegetable oil was for example. Thank you so much sir! I hope to follow your advice and set a good example for my family.
Yesterday my doctor told me I have a high ALT. Will try to detox my liver following your steps, also been drinking turmeric powder with lemon in warm water.

But was strict between January 1st through April 15th. I started with sea salt, NO-SALT, B vitamin complex as Dr. Berg recommended, ACV pills that I only used once though so far, and a multivitamin. I use keto strips and a glucose monitor to check ketosis and glucose levels, as I have been insulin resistant and have had high blood pressure. My waking/fasted glucose levels are 80 in the morning and 80 in the evening so far. I never EVER thought I could do keto, I never thought I could do OMAD, I never thought I could do intermittent fasting, and I never thought I could water fast. Dr. Berg I swear you’re a wizard. I was looking over my blood test from a couple months ago and saw that i had an abnormally high AST (88 U/L) level which is related to the liver problems and possible liver inflammation and not an hour passes by and you sent this right on recommended page 🙏

This came at the perfect time because I recently decided to try making the Japanese dish Okonomiyaki simply because it's easy. I had cabbage and egg. I didn't expect to like it that much, it's now a favourite breakfast of mine.😊
@@luisfernando55 my spin is more inspired by because it's very simple, it's shredded cabbage that fries for a bit before placing an egg ontop to fry. I normally don't whisk the egg first. I use a grease like dripping or dairy butter to fry them in and I don't normally add sauce but you can to it with whatever you like.
You're a blessing Dr. Berg. Let's all pray for his health and safety as he brings us so much amazing info. Sending good vibes your way Dr. B and everyone who sees this ✌️

I love you Dr. Berg. Been watching you for years. Just found out I was diagnosed with a fatty liver. I've been all over the internet on recipes, what not to eat, etc. But what I mostly want is less medical explanations (foreign to me...I am not a doctor), and more of what I should/should not eat, etc. Most of us are laymen, it we just want a solution. Still love you!
You listed foods that are everyday home foods in Italy, but almost nobody thinks that Mediterranean is a “frittata con cipolle” and it is a liver treatment
Dear Dr Berg... I have this pain in my upper right back-shoulder.... I looked it up and found this information: 👇 {{Shoulder pain - especially the right one - is one of the most overlooked symptoms of LIVER STRAIN. The liver is connected to the right shoulder through a nerve called the phrenic nerve. The phrenic nerve is like an electric wire that runs from the liver area to the cervical vertebrae.}} Would you kindly address this issue in one of your future videos and suggest how to treat it and prevent it, even better. Thank you so much for all your help. God bless. Greetings from Italy 💖🍀
Watched this as I got some kind of post viral effect on my heptatic system (full icterus). A big takeaway from this video was the breakfast recommendation. Would love a couple of videos of lunch/dinner recommendation in accordance with liver health
Wow, I'm delighted that the meal Dr. Berg describes is so similar to what I already have very often for my breakfast (at mid-day). Eggs, cooked chard or beet greens with herb seasoning and garlic, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and sauerkraut, along with a small goat kefir drink. 😊
I like to make a cabbage with veggies Frittata, eg. grated carrot, red pepper, onions, garlic, left over roast veggies, grated beetroot, any left over veggies in fridge, grated zucchini, juices squeezed, mushrooms, some bacon diced, chorizo, diced, with about Eight or nine or ten eggs, milk and cream, one cup in total, pepper salt and herbs and spices of choice, cayenne, ginger, chilli, paprika, turmeric, just cook of everything first, including cabbage in fry pan with some olive oil, turn down heat to 3/4, (as eggs go hard if cooked at too high a temperature); before adding eggs, beaten, add and milk, cream that has been beaten to beaten eggs, feta cheese, (broken into pieces); then to veggie mix in fry pan, sprinkle top with grated parmigiana cheese, cook for ten minutes till bottom cooked then finish in oven at 180d C, for about 45 - 50mins, till golden on top, or after cooking bottom through, turn onto plate slide back into fry pan, (which has been sprayed with olive oil); cook top for 12mins or so, on med. heat till when lifted slightly, is golden on bottom, or you can finish it off under griller on med heat, till top cooked through and golden. Off course, it has to be a oven proof fry pan!

I have grade 2 fatty liver. When I was diagnosed in early 20s, I had fatty liver and the doctor was shocked. I had not even tasted alcohol then. Also my diet was not bad either. It was something else. I was also incidently diagnosed with vitamin E deficiency on one occasion. After watching this video, I started taking Vitamin E with the hopes of reversing my fatty liver condition. Since another person in the family also has it, I think there are genetic reasons for fatty liver that requires addressing too.

Dr. Berg, We have been following your videos for years, and we thank you for all your information and helpful advice. This past year, I was bitten by a tick, which caused me to develop Alpha-gal Syndrome. So now, I can eat no mammalian meat, and I have to be careful with medications. In 2017, my gall bladder was removed, and for years, I took your medication to help with that. I can't take it now. Would you perhaps do a video on Alpha-gal Syndrome and possible alternatives for those who deal with this daily? Thanks again for all you do!
Thank you so much, Dr. Berg. I was recently diagnosed with fatty liver disease, and while my GI mentioned that it's reversible, they recommended I do some research on my own. This information looks like a great starting point, and I’m also planning to incorporate dry fasting three times a month. I truly wish I could speak with you directly to gain more insight and guidance on how to best manage and reverse this condition. Your expertise would be invaluable to me.

This makes so much sense, last summer and the summer before that I was eating meals of eggs, onions, garlic and greens almost every single morning, with fresh herbs from the garden, and that probably kept me afloat, a lot of stress has happened since then, my mother passed and I moved to a farm with my partner. And my gallbladder started giving me really bad signals. Thank you for this information dr berg, you are truly a godsend ❤️
Homemade kefir, using kefir “grains” (not powder) contains up to 100 different types of probiotic strains. You can’t get anywhere near that with store bought kefir, or yogurt. Store bought products kill all the bacteria, beneficial included, then re-add powdered cultures, which are made in a lab. Homemade is the way to go! Thanks Dr. Berg!
Dr Berg, thank you so much for your informative videos. This video made me aware that 5 years ago I swallowed an apricot seed by accident. Ii was stuck in my throat. I couldn’t breathe. I was alone. I ran to the kitchen and started taking coconut oil. The seed moved inside my stomach. I mentioned this to my family doctor and she asked me that if I was able to go to the bathroom. My answer was affirmative. Now, I am having problems with my intestine. I have constantly intestinal inflammation, gas, belching constantly. I don’t know if it is due to the seed or to the slow metabolism (I have hypothyroidism) or parasites or a mix of everything. As always, the dr doesn’t want to order more lab test besides the annual blood test.
I had 2 bad surgeries in the same foot (bunion) with 2 different doctors from different insurances. Both from very well known hospitals in San Diego. You guys aren't the only ones though, who have somewhat disapproving partners.
Maybe, you should be taking advice from an actual medical doctor?
Please: how did you do your liver flush???
@@ShannahWhite Were you able to do this while working ? w/o running out of meetings for example ?

Eggs - cooked with onions & garlic w sea salt sprinkled on top
Cruciferous veggies ie broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, arugula - the more bitter the better
Add herbs if possible ie thyme, sage, turmeric, rosmary, cayenne pepper, oregano, etc.
Kiefer with walnuts as dessert
You win!
This is the screenshot comment! Don't forget the chocolate chips with the Kiefer😜
Still trying to figure out how to cook onions and garlic with eggs ? ? ? Any suggestions ?

I can maybe add a little flavor and interest to your meals:
GF pasta small chickpea or rice & corn a replacement for spaetzle dumplings
Spinach
Field Greens Mix
Mushrooms
Rosemary
Thyme
Pink Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper
Eggs
Avocado Oil optional
Sesame Seeds optional
Boil GF pasta for 6 minutes in salted water, drain, remove, and cut into smaller pieces.
Try this without the carbs from pasta, ect.

- especially the right one -

The liver is connected to the right shoulder through a nerve called the
phrenic nerve.
The phrenic nerve is like an electric wire that runs from the liver area to the cervical vertebrae.}}

Real advice with real results , we couldn't ask for anything better , keep going Dr. Eric great job !

All are the same. I am glad dr Berg really is a doctor who cares about people’ health
I had 2 bad surgeries in the same foot (bunion) with 2 different doctors from different insurances. Both from very well known hospitals in San Diego. Each doctor didn’t fix the bunion but damage my foot. Now I can’t walk more than 1 hour. Another drs from different insurance told me my symptoms where in my head. I went to Mexico to get and X Ray and I realized I had a fibroid the size of a melon!
These is the type of doctors I have encountered. All of them only believe in their “medicine”

All doctors are NOT the same! A good doctor is also difficult to find. A few years ago I found a very good one and after a year he moved his office to another city. I was told that I couldn't visit him any longer because he was not in my area; recently they've begun zoning doctors but I've my name on a few waiting lists.
@@skinnydee1886 you are right. Good doctors you Can counted with one hand.
Thank you Dr. Berg! We love you and all your knowledge and advice! You are #1!!!!! 👍🙏🏻👌❤️
Very glad to be of help.
Dr. Berg, a friend of mine has stage 4 cancer on her liver, lungs and throat. They're testing to see what kind of cancer it is and how fast its growing. They're also scheduling an appointment with a specialist facility in Houston. They're saying it's incurable. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Nothing is incurable tell them to do protein loads of vegetables and a nutri bullet with high levels of vitamin c...Camu camu has the highest amount of vitamin c in the world 60x more vitamin c in one teaspoon that oranges or lemons. It's is anti cancer ( stop using chemical based creams shampoos and products....keep up lots of greens and blitz smoothies in the smoothie maker )
Some of Dr Berg's videos on stage 4 may help. Including interviews with survivors.
Any suggestions on how to detox if polyps are in the gallbladder ?
Thank you🌸

@@anjareefschlager8317 hello for asking I am doing intermittent fasting for long time but suddenly 3 years ago I had endometriosis.
And 13 years ago I had bleeding nipples.
Quite scary but I changed my diet.
I have estrogen dominance because I'm in menopausal now.
So it's normal because since I'm young I have hormonal imbalance.
