Got mines at the beginning of Nov and you’re correct. You have to plan out owning a Tesla. Thankfully I work at a car dealership and I’m allowed to charge all day. Didn’t think about my battery being cold and range dropping 😂. Traveling in it is actually pretty easy too. The other models give luxury especially the Model S. The model 3 and Y were designed with budget in mind so to cut cost you have less accessories and such.
If you don't have charging at your home, owning an electric vehicle is a major inconvenience and I honestly believe you probably shouldnt be getting one if you don't have home access. That is a fact. It's the main reason a lot of Tesla public charger's are fulling up now. There are a lot of people who don't have charging at home buying Tesla's. These chargers are ment to be used only for long distance trips. They also reduce their battery life long term relying primarily on super charging. Also you hit all the main points. Totally agree with your review.
I was told by a Tesla rep that only using superchargers wouldn’t be an issue and there’s a lot of customers that only use those. It has a minimal effect on the battery. Most people aren’t using them everyday, maybe a couple times a week or so.
So why do you need a spare tire? Are you planning on having a flat? Do you drive in the mountains? So are you aware that Tesla comes with roadside service, and so whether it’s a flat, or some other situation, where you would need service, all you have to do is enter into the app your situation, and Tesla will send a mobile unit to your location or they have already contracted with local services in your area that can service your vehicle. Also, carrying around a spare tire takes up space, and it adds extra weight to the car, which means your range is affected. So I’ve had my Tesla for over 4 1/2 years now, and in that 4 1/2 years I had one time where I got a flat tire, and it wasn’t because I ran over a nail or glass or some debris like that, it was because of these Republicans play politics by blocking the money to maintain our infrastructure, allowing it to deteriorate, and because of their partisan, divisive politics, I had a blowout, running into what I call a crater not a pothole, but an actual crater, that’s how badly maintain this particular stretch of road I happen to be traveling on, and I had to use roadside service, and I did exactly what I just described to you. So it took a while for the towing service to show up, but only because it was a screw up on the part of the towing service, so I won’t get into that, but it had nothing to do with Tesla service. It was because of their use of a third-party towing service, that this long delay of getting to me happened, as you can’t account for how efficient they may be, and these guys was pretty bad in fact, they were awful, but eventually they did get there with the tire and I was on my way. So pay attention to your tires, pay attention to how and where you drive, and I guarantee you getting a flat will be the last thing you need to worry about. Cheers 🥂
@theodorehaskins3756 I’ve had two flat tires and have only had my car for a year. On top of that, my car tire has a slow leak at this very moment. Tesla roadside is convenient but it’s not quick. It’s also not cheap. I do wish I had a spare tire that I could at least keep at home, if the weight of the tire would affect my range. Since our tires are run flats, I can usually at least make it home.
@@jelanah_ Touché! There’s a downside to everything and this is no different, apparently you happen to be snakebitten when it comes to flat tires, as I’ve been driving for a long time, and I’ve had very few instances where I’ve had flat tires, and when I did, it was mostly because of what I said about the politics of these Republicans is the reason why we can’t spend the money we need to keep our infrastructure the best in the world, and trust me we’re far from being the best in the world. In fact, we’re so far below the best in the world, that I would say, it’s criminal, and so your situation is an anomaly because if you read through some of these comments about cars in general, not just Tesla cars, but the industry in general, you will find very little talk about not having a spare tire, and also remember, Tesla wasn’t the first car manufacturer, to not offer a spare tire, as it has been the general trend of the auto manufacturers, not providing spare tires with their new car offerings, opting instead to just providing an air pump, and a simple repair kit. So it should be noted, that you can buy a spare tire if that’s something you’re concerned about, but remember, along with the spare tire you better buy all the other equipment necessary to change that Tire, which is also not provided by Tesla, and a lot of these other manufacturers are not providing either. Cheers.
You had the impression that getting a Tesla was gonna solve the countries deficit, it’s a different beast, it’s about managing your car, there a free fast chargers out there “charge point”
Got mine last September. Loving it so far. Full Self-Driving is cool, but I tried the beta version which seems to drive too close to the center lane. Love that I can cool my car at the end of church service so when I get in the car after church. it's already cool.
Could you do a video speaking about how you use music on the infotainment screen. I don’t use Spotify or Apple Music basically use CarPlay for navigation and RUclips music which they charge you for that premium service and speak about the sound system in general
I was looking for Tesla videos & I’m like she HAS to work in tech because the average person isn’t giving up their luxury for a tech car. But I’m coming from a Toyota, so I’m humble 😂
What is luxury? I think people have there own definition of what luxury is I prefers tesla over a lambo or AMG I think it’s just preference they came out wit a new model 3 version But if you want more try the model x or s
This video made me even more nervous! I pick my Y up this weekend, I’m selling my Audi and switching to Tesla after never driven or been in one! I hope it doesn’t feel cheap, especially for the price. My car is fully loaded so my bar is high. IM A NERVOUS WRECK. They took out the USS sensors in the new models now too 😢
When you get your Y can you come back and let me know how you like the quality compared to the Audi? I’d love to hear your review since you’re coming from a luxury car! & congrats btw! Don’t be nervous, you’ll LOVE the tech and all the features 🥳🥰
@@jelanah_ Just got back from picking it up and I will say it definitely feels less “premium” or luxury than my Audi. The seats are also smaller and less cushion/no sport back. I will really have to get used to driving this bc I wasn’t liking how it brakes as I let off the pedal! Especially when turning! I didn’t know when to hit the damn brake lol
I’m keeping my Audi and getting a Tesla. Both seemed to have pro’s and con’s from my test drive. The Tesla felt 95% the way there compared to my Q5. That being said I haven’t picked it up yet. Another week. 🤞
@@OutdoorsIQ I’ve had my Tesla for 2 weeks now and I love it! I still think it feels less nice inside compared to the Audi but the tech makes up for it. Thinking about getting some LED lights installed because it’s really dark at night. Congrats on the Tesla!

No! I still love the car soooo much lol you should still be excited! 🥳🥳🥳🥳 For me, my car unexpectedly came at the beginning of my window. Sometimes people don’t come pick up their cars or cancel, you get bumped up on the waitlist.
Any Tesla updates? I will be purchasing one when we return to the states from Japan in 2025. Hopefully, a lot more is added then. I sold my 2020 A220, due to us pcsing to Japan. I know it’s not considered luxury but I’m excited..
Lmao I thought I was the only one who loses car keys. Lmao yeah it’s definitely embarrassing.🙈 Strongly considering getting this car. Lol with all the holes and construction going on in Atlanta I need a spare tire for sure.
I tried to go to a tire shop and they said usually run flats (I didn’t know what a run flat was until that day) are not tires that can be patched. So I don’t know what the heck Tesla did to fix it but I’m glad they did. 😂
Stopppp. I live in NYC and an apartment building with no garage at the moment. OMG I still want a Tesla. I guess I will just be going to superchargers. Still beats and taking the MTA with all these crazy people around my kids😂😂😂
@@jelanah_ honestly having a car in NYC much like not having one is a hassle. You can't compare your model 3 to a BMW or Mercedes as far as when it comes to quality or luxury. Maybe if you compare to your old Camery, a Honda, Ford, GM, etc... Maybe if you upgrade to the model X or S Plaid than sure now try to compare to high end BMW or Mercedes.
