The more I use it the better I like it, with regard to the r1+r2 test it is much quicker in most instances than my vid shows. Just happens to be a lot of earth noise in the building which slows it down but very accurate regardless
Yes I agree sound not so good as empty building. I promise to do better next time. Thanks for the comment though, always appreciated good or bad, I’m not to proud to listen
You need to go into settings and allow the auto start hands free function. Once you have done that push the test button and the triangle on the screen will pulse, then connect leads.. There is a user manual on line for the X1 you need page 44. Hope this helps
@@chriskitcher Thanks! The option to auto test was missing in the settings. I contacted Megger and they said to update to the latest firmware which I did and it solved the problem!
That made up my mind regarding buying one for nearly 2 grand. Not for me, to slow. I will stick with my supposedly accurate certed old megger that is a lot faster and has auto live readings. Really Megger.
The only tester of any kind in the world that I've seen that for some reason has OFF function in the middle of the selector scale, which basically means it's unavoidable to cycle through tests without switching it off and on. again and again..???
Having used it for a while now I can tell you that scrolling through off is no different than switching between tests, there is no delay at all unless you stop on off and even then it switches back on in a second or two. The switch seems sensibly placed as live tests are one side and dead tests other than voltage measurement are the other side. Like all test equipment you soon get used to whatever you are using.
really great vid i have been thinking of an upgrade to this tester, what do you think of it could you do a review thank you

How did you set up the handsfree function? My tester says invalid connection when I press test?
