Comparing ECHO RB 60 and RB 100W [Spreading Salt]
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 ноя 2024
- Today I got the bright idea to compare the residential ECHO RB-60 seed spreader with the commercial ECHO RB-100W salt spreader, but they are both spreading salt. I used the RB-60 to spread all my salt last year. This year ECHO sent me the RB-100w to try out so I thought I would compare them. This is not an apples to apples comparison, but simply a test to see if the RB-60 can compare to the RB-100w.

Thank you for this video brother, I appreciate your time!
A VERY GOOD PRESENTATION,!!.. I HAVE THE RB _60 FOR MY LAWNS AND I DO LOVE THE WAY IT SPREADS.!.. MY CONNECTING ROD BROKE,.SO I MADE ONE FROM A STEEL ROD AND IT WORKS GREAT....I BELIEVE IT WAS MY FAULT,!. IN NOT CLEANING AFTER EACH DAY AND THE BUILD UP OF WHAT IS IN THE FERTILIZER WAS BAKED SO HARD THAT THE PARTS BECAME RESTRICKED CAUSING TO MUCH TORQUE ON THE PLASTIC DRIVESHAFT,.. I GUESS SOME OF US HAVE TO LEARN THE HARD WAY...LOL!.......CLEAN YOUR SPREADER AFTER EACH DAYS APPLICATION,. YOU WON'T BE SORRY !!!! I USE MY PRESSURE WASHER AND IT DOES THE TRICK !!!!!! YOUR DEMONSTRATION FOR SALT SPREADING WAS VERY INFORMATIVE,. THANK YOU !AND KEEP TRUCKING AND GOD BLESS !!!!
yeah, I still haven't cleaned my salt spreader from the last use last winter. It is going to take some work to get it going this year.
Good job on the comparison. I started out pushing lots. I always liked the earth way spreaders to salt it worked well. I did it that way for a few years
I am certainly considering a small salter on the back of the truck, but I only have one commercial lot so I’m not sure that I want to make the investment until I land another lot.
I am so glad you posted this. I am actually online right now debating to buy this, but echo never shows pics of the holes and agitator. If you need a parking lot spreader, my snow-ex push is a dream and everything you want it to be, but it throws so far it sucks for sidewalks. I am so glad I didn't spend $450 on another spreader and be frustrated with it. I am currently looking at the Chapin 82400B despite the cheap ones being a disappointment. Believe it or not, the cheap scotts spreads work pretty good except the wheels break easily in the cold.
I’m glad it was helpful. I am going to try and take out the black Agitator to see if that make it push easier.
I was looking at the Scott Spreaders for their price. Saw the plastic wheels and thought they wouldn't work well
@@MrSirjud01 I bought that chapin 82400b. Home Depot has it for $338 online. He has been everything I hoped it would be. Chapin how has a residential salt spreader with a wide gate that would probably work pretty well. They also sell one that has like 3 or 4 narrow openings. That does not work well at all. It also has a wide flat bottom so it can't empty fully.
Hey man I have that same spreader, I took the black spinner off and just run the long stainless agitator that will solve a lot of problems for you
Thanks brother for the heads up! I will definitely be taking that off. I really appreciate it! 👊
I might get a chapin salt spreader
Great info
The long metal pice should only be used if seeding. Screw it off. The black pice should only be on.
