Good review mate. This is the last mercedes benz model that has the 3 point star on the bonnet. They are very quiet inside at speed. I do 12 hour trips in mine in day and don't feel any pains when I arrive. Overtaking on the highway is a buzz with the 320. They really get up and go. The gearbox is brilliant in these models. If you drive calmly you wont be able to feel a gear change at all. The gearbox learns your style of driving, no kidding,(Computerised) and they are near bullet proof. Any mechanic can service them. Easiest oil change on any car out there. Chain driven timing gear means low maintenance. They wont cost you any more than a Holden V6 to run and maintain. Very well made, highly reliable. Lots of torque down low. Just avoid the computer climate control option. They can cause you grief. The standard A/C as shown in this car is the one to get.
mercedes have ALWAYS needed to has it's doors shut hard. my w123 needs that, a friend's w123, w210, w211 and w202 ALL need to have their doors shut hard. more so the older models pre 2005 ish before they introduced the self close mchanism (whenever that was). come on man, dont make up things.
Great video! I own a 2002 CLK. Burgundy over gray leather. Gets 26 miles to gallon. Folded my rear seats down and made a bed! Slept in Sedona, AZ. It was fine, cheap. The trunk springs are powerful! Synthetic oil & filter...$117. Air conditioning works 50% of the time. AZ heat killed my electronics. --js Drove my 320 from Sedona to Tampa Bay. That's where I'm commenting from! Loves cruise-control @ 85 mph. Anyways, got 135 thousand miles on it, love this automobile to death! Stay well all! 10/1/22
It was actually built on the C class (W202) chassis but borrowed a lot from the e class, like the newer clk (w209) they had discontinued the e class coupe so this essentially replaced it. In reality it was built as a smaller more affordable version of the huge CL coupe. Although it isn't as comfortable as the E class of the same era it is leagues ahead of the equivalent c class. The suspension and many other parts were much better and softer. Other than the chassis it is actually much closer to an E class than a C in terms of drive. Obviously they brought back the e class coupe in 2010 which replaced the clk. But i still think the CLK is the best coupe Mercedes ever made.
Great car, I own a 2000 CLK320 one of my favorite cars I've ever owned. Rides nice. Looks nice. I paid only A few thousand Dollars (usd) $ for mine on a great deal. I drive it daily. They make Good solid cars. But also comfortable to drive. The Ladies seem to take longer looks. I ain't Complaining.😀😋😜
@@scottietoohotti had an oil gasket leak, and transmission seal gasket leak also and needed new spark plugs... As far as engine issues so far that's been my largest problems in a year of ownership
You can't go wrong with a well looked after example and I took the idea to the extreme by buying a perfect example of a clk 230 kompressor w208 and fitting a C32AMG drive train that is built by the German race team, HIRSCH, produced 449bhp and 383lbft of torque which is connected to the gearbox from the E55 AMG so the first 3 gears are fierce and get you moving very quickly and in 4th onwards the torque pulls you along at low revs to a plenty fast enough speed of 166mph, the 60mph sprint is dispatched in under 5 seconds and the CLK 55 amg brakes steering and suspension are more than up to the job of being a comfortable and flexible performance car that does not disappoint when you need it
Great cars - but were the little goofy bits (e.g. "weee") really necessary? Some seriously cringe-worthy moments in this review that made it very difficult to sit through some of it. I'd probably excuse that if it was just some dude doing personal / amateur reviews, but when you give your channel a title like "Car consulting Australia" it gives off the impression that you might be about to watch something a little more mature / professional.
Wow...I'm amazed that anybody would actually need to ask that. It's hard enough to believe that somebody wouldn't know what a CD changer is to begin with...but even if you legitimately didn't, is a 30 second google search REALLY that difficult? It's not like this is something hat would be difficult to find the answer to.

I would say: this is the best CLK Review-Video on Internet! Well done!!!! Top (y)
Thanks. You are the 8th RUclipsr presenting CLK series I watched. But, only you showed the rear seats bent over and the whole large cargo.
There's enough room for the deed in the back
but I don't want W208 to look modern.Who says ...a "modern" looking car is better than a " clasic / vintage " one?
This guy is nuts but funny! Not a bad review. Just a bit more Tech info would have been good, but looks like I'll be buying one.

Someone can explain me what is the purpose of the "CD changer"?
So you can listen to multiple cd's without pulling them in and out all the time
