old message and old reply, but this was in the occasion of Eurovision, in the 80s in Bergen ( where I am from) it was a time where there were no social media, a time where all of Norway was different. While I was born in 1995 and have been raised on town legends like Kyrkjebø, and even in her infinite beauty, don't think that this was the normal dress of the time. It was not. This is the bunad, a tradition we still keep. It is a traditional dress that we Norwegians are very proud to wear and that we still wear to this day. North America might have a confused identity and it might not be perfect, but you have your strengths aswell. Much love from Norway
