I have fitted a grmoto carbon can on my gsa 1250 and it only cost £200 its totally transformed my bike its got better response more grunt and sounds amazing most gearchanges now come with a bap sound the quiet burbling i got on stock can now is much deaper and louder i have road with baffles and without and without is a deeper tone my grmoto has a twin outlet its awsome mate also my mpg is unaffected
Looks nice and compact. The valve in the exhaust is usually used for noise emissions. If you were to dyno the bike you would likely see a strange power curve (due to the valve being mostly closed) in third gear as that is the gear used for the pass by test. The muffler packing will last longer without the insert due to less heat.
Interesting on the flapper valve. I haven't noticed any difference (based solely on sound) in any gear, but I'll have to monitor that. I agree, the muffler without the silencer insert is better overall. They only put that in I think for those in areas where maintaining Euro 4/5 compliance matters.
I get it. These things are big and heavy, and there's not getting around that. 🙂 But, a pound here, a pound there, it adds up, and I'm at around 20 lbs off. We compare weights of bikes, complain when BMW adds weight, and want them to reduce weight in future models - this is how weight reduction is done, a little bit at a time. I'm not saying that you'll notice it, just that if you want to go after weight reduction, there's a decent amount to be had here.
@@TedsGarage Thank you,I’m thinking of buying a GR moto muffler for my 2005 GS 1200 . My bike and original muffler are in mint condition, I just need some more exhaust notes and the stock one is too heavy as you well know. Best wishes from Northern Ireland. 👍🏻

I have one of these on my RS, totally agree with your review. Very thorough.
Thank you!
@juzubumi I'm considering adding one to mine. Either this or the Arrow. How do you like it now??
It's good, sounds good., just take the baffle out, otherwise it sounds like a scooter...@@norrinradd5501

I had a GR Moto carbon look twin outlet on my 1250GS and it melted the indicator and burned a hole clean through the pannier.
Great video… but talking about cutting weight on a GSA makes me laugh 😂

"A pound here a pound there" -- sounds like you've heard my wife tell me I need to diet! 😂
Nice demo, thank you. 👌🏻
Glad you liked it!
