    Hi, not sure why Phillip’s didn’t put this in their video but:
    1) I had the technician adjust the belt to me while I was in the office and she was demonstrating use for me when I got home - so glad I did this
    2) yellow light was not turning to green and found the snap in connectors from belt to device wasn’t in all the way on one side - so with a little pressure heard it click and light turned green
    2) use 2 pieces of tape one for each side of the nose cannula, tape to cheek so the nose cannula stays in place
    3) tape pulse oximeter lightly, I did this on my finger and around my wrist- you don’t want to cut off circulation - also make sure you if you tape both the cord around your finger and wrist there is enough slack on the cord you can bend your wrist comfortably- if you place the cord/wire too straight against your skin if you rotate your wrist the tape will come off

      Finger sensor light won't green. Definitely not MADE for WOMEN. NO MENTION of breasts, I can't even SEE the lights. Phillips FAIL

    I used it last night for an in-home sleep study. The setup was pretty intuitive. My main complaint, however, is that when I would periodically wake during the night, there were at least three occurrences where the plastic cannula tubing had been disconnected from the monitor device. It would seem that if you were to design a device whose purpose is in diagnosing sleep disorders, you would ensure that it could withstand much movement, as many people with sleep disorders tend to toss and turn, or, worse yet, have night terrors. I just hope that the reading it gives is accurate.

      The plastic tube attaches with a twisting connector. It sounds like you plugged it in without twisting it tight.

    If there is a problem with a sensor during the night, you are supposed to be asleep, so won't notice the yellow flashing light. There should be an alarm.

      No, there shouldn't. For people with sleep disorders, having a device with the potential to wake you up at random hours of the night is a _terrible_ idea. Better to have loss of monitoring data than loss of sleep...

    Hey Phillip's. Users would be happier if you publicly answered questions instead of referring them to call during business hours (aka when none of us are using the device!) .
    Future design suggestions: how about a button you press in the morning that gives you a green light or check mark indicating the machine aquired the necessary data?
    I never could get the belt light off yellow and the finger probe wouldn't stay green.
    As an RN I'm seriously displeased with this experience and hope I haven't wasted my in insurance money strapped to a device that was not as user friendly as this video suggests it should be.

      The button is there - after turning the device off, a short press of the user button will show you the percentage of good data that was acquired (in 25% increments). Check the user manual for the details.

      Yea just did the study, the button doesn't flash the quadrants. It just acts as if you've turned it on and put it on and wants you to plug in the sensors. No idea if it collected data.

      Note this only works IF you have all of the sensors connected. This is not documented anywhere I can find.

    Used the Alice for my 1st night. I can't help but laugh at all these other comments. So last night, put our 18 month old to bed. She consistently sleeps throughout the night 7pm to 630am. Rarely wakes up --- except last night, the night I have to do the sleep study lol. 2x my wife had to get up and I'm like "I'm sorry I can't help. LOOK AT ME!!! I'm hideous!" Anyway, night two is tonight and I might do one more because I'm not sure if I did everything right the 1st night. The more data, the better as my doc said.
    I have some semi useful tips:
    1) Tape your cheeks with med tape. Tape your hand in two spots for the pulse thing.
    2) Make sure you are totally ready for bed when you start suiting up in this machine. Understand how to put everything on and do it all in one go. Don't fart around. If you get lost in the setup. Unhook everything (inc. both belt clips) and start over.
    3) Ask your doc for an extra set of batteries if you have it longer than one night.
    4) Pay attention to the lights. They go off faster than you think.
    Have you all have a good sleep!

    I just balled the whole contraption up and shoved it back in the case it came in after an hour of trying to fix the chest strap so that the light turned from yellow to green.
    I’d rather die of sleep apnea than spend another minute on this completely frustrating process. So now it’s way past my bedtime, I’m tired and frustrated and have to work in the morning. Would’ve been nice if someone at the company had some interest in explaining the thing. An email tells me to call the office by closing time of 4:30pm if any questions. Well…at 4:30pm I was not getting ready for bed… I’m throwing the paperwork in the stove. 33 years of working as an RN and I can’t figure this out.

    Thank goodness for this video! I drove an hour for my scheduled "appointment" to get the equipment today. Someone came out, handed the box to me saying, "the return info is inside", and left. -_- So here I am searching for how to work this machine.

      Exactly… handed it to me, told me some papers were inside and to fill them out and return them… and that was the only instructions I received… the strap is a nightmare… how about 1 long strap and some Velcro… would that be too easy to do?

      Similar experience. My journey was an hour round trip (so half hour there). The receptionist was obnoxious, as they usually are. The tEcHnoLOgIst couldn't be bothered to explain how to use the product. She said, "This is the cannula. You know how to use it, right?" No, ma'am, this is my first time hearing the word "cannula." Maybe you could use your words and explain this to me like you're supposed to?
      She rushed through the explanation, clearly expecting me to accept being pushed around and pushed out as quickly as possible, but they did make sure to reinforce for me that if I used the product wrong, I'd have to come back and do it all over again.
      I'm probably going to have to pay $300 or more out of pocket for being treated like a total piece of shit. And there is nothing any of us can do about it.

    I was instructed to “NOT PRESS THE BUTTON” so I didn’t ! I hooked everything up the way I was showed, went to sleep and unhooked everything the next morning. Well, I turned it in to my drs office and to my surprise they called me frantically saying “did you even use the machine or have problems , because there is NO data on there?” So here we go again, I pick up another one tomorrow, fingers crossed it works this time. I was also told to hold the finger probe and make a fist then tape it on my hand! I hope this helps you and I hope this works for me this time 🤞🏾😊🤞🏾

    Lol I’m so glad to read all the comments of everyone’s trouble with this little sleep study kit. The belt/straps were a hot mess for me🫣 and I also had trouble with the tubing popping off then read to screw it in 🙏 the directions it came with were of no help I just thought it was me and thought how the hell do people figure this out and why the hell can’t I 😉 I also felt that It kept me awake more than put my mind at ease for the reason that I kept checking to see if there were any yellow flashing lights which there always was even though everything seem to be hooked up fine.

      The yellow light was the first thing I checked whenever I woke up so yes, mentally it does not put one at ease. Mine did come on a few times. Also, I had to keep re-tightening the tube. At first, I was relieved that I'd be able to do this at home...Now, I wish I'd been sent to a sleep lab. It didn't make me feel confident. I sent it back and I'm not comfortable about how well this home study went. I guess I'll find out. :(

    I had my sleep study last night with this device. Was a genuinely unpleasant experience for me, and I did have some suggestions to make this less of an ordeal for patients that are similar to myself.
    First, some general information. I typically sleep without a shirt on, lying on my left side (wife has right side of our bed). I find that when I'm wearing a shirt, it twists in my sleep and traps heat. Predictably, having a shirt on under the chest band resulted in similar discomforts. Initially, the chest band did show a yellow indicator while I was adjusting it, but after a time it turned green. I went on to connecting the soft sensor (squeeze to insert fingertip) on my left index finger and taped the sensor wire to my wrist and again near my elbow. The indicator for this went from yellow to green alongside the chest band indicator. I unwrapped and did the best I could manage with placing the cannula tube into my nostrils and connected it to the device. All three indicators were green, and the one to the right of where the cannula connects (looking down) turned into a green circle with animated quadrants and in a few moments (not minutes) it all turned off.
    I wasn't sure that it was working correctly because the chest strap didn't feel as if it were tight enough, so I tightened it - no indicators changed. I checked by removing the sensor from my index finger, and, as predicted, the indicator went yellow and back to green after I replaced the sensor. The cannula tube wasn't mounted correctly and fell out, so I fixed that as well. All indicators were off, so I was hoping it was configured right. (continued below)

      I found that I could not lie on my side - it put tension on the left arm tape holding the SpO2 sensor in place, and the chest belt / tshirt felt like it was twisting. The cannula smelled like a pool toy and any time it moved slightly, it would move hairs in my nostrils and instantly wake me up. On rare occasion, sensor lights would briefly blink yellow and then turn off, but not frequently.
      The instructions I was given by my sleep institute pointed me to this video. It also said, in uppercase letters ***** AVOID PUSHING ANY BUTTONS ***** WEAR IT ALL NIGHT
      The first two hours I could not get to sleep because of anxiety - it felt like I was taking a test I couldn't prepare for and didn't know how to complete, worse than a blind job interview. I was very cogniscent of the sensors, the tape on my arm (interestingly, not the tape on my face) and was very uncomfortable compared to a 'normal' sleep. I ended up having to get out of bed and sleep on a recliner to *try* and get four hours of data on it.
      Alarm went off to get started for the workday, I *did* briefly press the button as shown at 2:43 in the video and NOTHING showed in the circular indicator area.

      The experience could be made much better with a manual on / off switch, giving the patient the ability to ensure the device is working properly instead of trying to make it a one-button operation. Being able to check the process either by pressing the button during use or having output of sensor status to a mobile app would have been amazing to help put my mind at res that it was working as intended. Also, if sensors *weren't* working correctly, some kind of audio sequence beep every minute or so would be useful to make sure the data is being recorded accurately.
      In any case, doing this during a pandemic with only a paper and a video to help you out is simply inadequate. Ask for a quick demonstration setup in person if you can, especially regarding the tension level on the chest band to make sure it works correctly.

    My doctor's office contacted me for a video conference early in the evening I was going to use the equipment. They went through how I was to put on the equipment and made sure I could do it correctly, as well as answering any questions or concerns I might have. Everything went according to plan and feel I am looking forward to getting the results in a couple of weeks.

      I don't compare to you so don't even try, but I am familiar with your kind. You couldn't watch a simple 3 minute video without finding SOMETHING negative to say about it? A video which was basically self explanatory in its own right. Did you feel better having complained about it? Did you get the device working despite what you perceived as this fatal flaw in the instruction? Most importantly, does it look like Phillips really gave a shit in the year since you wrote it?? The purpose of my response was to point out the utter uselessness of your comment. A fact which currently remains unchanged and behind which I still fully stand. What's truly "irritating" in life is people like you who go out of their way, who find some sort of pleasure, in being the one individual to cast a negative light on something regardless of what it is.       I had this happen also! It took me a long time to adjust the belt, then the belt sensor turned green. The finger sensor was attached and the nasal sensor was attached, but I had not yet attached them to me when all the lights turned green.

      Adding to my previous comment, I had a number to call for night time issues and did call. The person said that the lights were green because the sensors were attached to the unit.

    I wore this last night. I had few of the problems other people seem to have had. The belt stayed in place fine. FWIW, it’s winter here, and I was wearing flannel pajamas. I believe the rough fabric really helped the strapping to stay where it was supposed to be. So if flannels are an option for you, try that.
    The nasal cannula also stayed in place. I did add extra tape, though.
    The equipment I had the most problem with was the finger oximeter. I put it on my left forefinger. It was uncomfortable and my finger kept going numb. It frequently claimed to be disconnected, even though I never removed it. I taped the cord to the back of my finger, then to my hand, wrapped it around my wrist once, and taped that too. I would adjust slightly, then the green light would turn on.
    I couldn’t fall asleep for the first 2 hours, in part because I couldn’t find a good place for that hand. I’m a side sleeper: right side, opposite to where the oximeter was. I woke up at least 5 times that I remember - each time finding myself on my back. So something about it made me move. Caught myself snoring once. If I was still sleeping on my side as usual, that wouldn’t have happened.
    So I expect this device will say I have sleep apnea, even though my known sleep disorder is Restless Leg Syndrome - as diagnosed about 15 years ago, in a lab sleep study, which my insurance would not cover this time. It’s gotten worse lately, and my doctor wanted to find how much worse, and not just try out new medications. There are a LOT more sleep disorders than sleep apnea, though that’s the one you hear constantly trumpeted. I am a woman with a BMI of 25, so not morbidly obese.
    This device seems to be designed to detect Sleep Apnea only. Before I picked up the kit, I was wondering how it would detect Restless Leg. I was expecting electrodes for my legs. Answer seems to be, it won’t.
    When I picked it up, I asked the Sleep Lab tech about side sleeping. He said, the more you sleep on your back, the more the machine will think you have sleep apnea. Well, I ended up sleeping on my back far more than usual, so I’m sure that’s what it will indicate.
    Also, I never saw the little pie chart indicating a complete reading. My instructions in the kit specifically said NOT to press the button, so I didn't.

      When the finger goes numb inside the probe, it usually means the finger might be too far inside the finger sensor and can be pulled back a little. The device will show the finger probe isn't connected since the sensor is squeezing the finger at the back making it unable to read a pulse. The Alice Night One is designed to gather sleep data like snoring, your body position, pressure flow, respiratory effort, oxygen saturation and heart rate. If you are restless during the night of the test, the device will also be able to pick up on this.
      There are a few factors that determent whether you have Sleep Apnea or not. Sleeping mainly on your back or snoring will not immediately result in a positive Sleep Apnea diagnose. Lastly, we recommend following the instructions of your sleep lab technician about the user button. Normally it's expected to press the user button in the morning after a sleep session, but if the test didn't collect enough data your sleep technician might plan another sleep session with you.     I just got mine to try tonight - Reading through the comments it's like telling your friends you're going to get wisdom teeth out. Everyone has horror stories.
    I notice Phillips keeps answering comments here with "Call this number," "Call this number," but in reality it would be helpful to have someone at THAT NUMBER reply within these comments and address the actual problems people are having over and over again so the rest of us can know how to handle certain situations. The main problem of course is not that there may be issues, but that we are worried that if there ARE issues that our insurance companies might not pay to re-do this, or that some of us are paying hundreds of dollars as a self-pay to do this.
    Will update this comment tomorrow - Wish me luck. :)

      (NEXT DAY) - I slept like crap - I roll around a LOT but I didn't have any problems with sensors coming loose or anything. I'm a slide sleeper. The worst part about it was the finger O2 sensor. It doesn't press hard but after a few hours it's noticeably uncomfortable. Nothing came loose or came off and I packed everything back up in the morning. Hopefully they got the info they need.

    I used last night, and the straps were all the way for tight; but it wasn’t tight enough for me. I wonder if they have sizes. The little tubes for the nose were on my eyes in the middle of the night
    I don’t think this device is very well designed.
    I’m sure it didn’t collect no data, I can’t believe I still have to pay for the study!

      My doctors told me very explicitly that this home test WOULD NOT pick up any meaningful data for me because I am thin while the device is designed for what they consider a “typical” sleep apnea patient. Very low chances of working on people outside of that demographic. But insurance requires the home test first before even considering the in-lab test, so here I am wasting my time and money! (Haven’t even gotten this device yet, just reading comments to prepare for when it arrives)

    Well, I can handle the cannula tubing and connections/lights just fine.... but I can't figure out the belt! I am not a fan of this thing. So, I'm just gonna go to sleep now. I wish all you new test takers good luck. :-)

      The belt gave me trouble as well. In the end, I had to move it lower on the chest, and tighten it quite a bit before the sensor would reliably work.

      In my case it was very hard to get the belt small enough to fit around me WHILE wearing the thing, because I had to use one hand to hold the device up.
      I ended up asking my wife to shorten it after I had put it on, and with some difficulty we managed to figure it out.

    I'm doing my sleep study test as I type this comment-I know I'm supposed to be sleeping-but that's hard to do when I'm wearing this equipment-of course the monitor is designed to be in the front-and I'm mainly a stomach sleeper😩😩😩

    This was the most frustrating night of non-sleep I've ever had. First off, I'm generally a side/stomach sleeper, so the position of the chest belt forced me to try to sleep on my back. Everything lit up fine and I was semi-relaxed, but then the chest belt light started flashing yellow, even though I hadn't moved an inch. I adjusted the belt and the position a bit and it would turn green again. Then 5 to 10 minutes later it would start flashing yellow again. I went to bed at 10pm and laid there awake for 5 hours, too preoccupied with trying to keep the chest belt light from turning yellow again. I may have dozed off a couple of times, but who know if the light was flashing during that time period or not. At 3am I'd had enough and ripped the device off out of frustration (desperately wanting to throw it across the room), knowing that I was going to have to go to work on 1/2 hour of sleep. This sucks.

    I am going to wear this device tonight, my issue is the company that wants to sell you a CPAP machine is giving me the sleep study test, that does not sound right. Curious to know how many people that do this test actually do not test positive for sleep apnea, I would think very few, they want to sell their machines and masks. Also if you do not sleep a wink what happens with the test?

      One guy here said he used his machine for FOUR NIGHTS and the yellow lights never stopped blinking. His doctor didn't know what to do so he diagnosed the poor guy with sleep apnea and handed him a prescription. That's medical malpractice.

    Reading all these complains... my biggest issue is that if i dont return it before 9 am ill have to pay 100 bucks, and i dont have issues staying asleep... my issues is waking up earlier than 8. This place im returning to is on the other side of the city! I dont wanna have to risk paying 100 bucks... only for my monitor to might not even work /or not register enough data 😭

      My belt icon went from yellow to green numerous time before I fell asleep. When I woke in the morning, it was flashing yellow then after 30 seconds it changed to green. I did four nights of testing and I called the center on the first day left a message and they never called. So I figured oh well.

      Dr.'s office said the flashing lights were normal. My test results showed my apnea's and I got my prescription and received my supplies.

    Used it last night, even on the tightest belt setting possible it slipped. I was laying flat and it was directly on my chest and indicated it wasn’t attached. I pushed it down and it said it was okay but I couldn’t tighten the belt anymore.

    No mention of the Xpod clippy thing on the oximeter line. Is it to be clipped to something? I agree that voice over instruction is more useful than music - especially for low-vision people like me.

    This test is very faulty. Thee first night monitored 9 hours but I only slept for two. The lights were continuously flashing in my face no matter how much I adjusted everything. They also had me connect the finger oximeter to a finger which I had surgery on and did not have good circulation but demanded that I use that finger. Also if you have Raynouds syndrome in your hands, you will get a faulty reading. There is nothing testing how much you actually slept. The second night I slept more because I covered the lights and didn't know what was on. After consult with doctor my test was deemed inconclusive but with no apnea and low oxygen. Basically two nights wasted when I could have gotten two nights of good sleep.

    It was pretty cool used it last night.i Ltd was very est to sleep with beaut was a bit tough cause I’m a stomach sleeper so I woke up a lot to adjust to back or side which puts arm to sleep and tossed around a bit. But ultimately it was easier than the tradition sleep study for me

    Update: I don't understand all the complaints. It only took about thirty seconds to set the machine up and it worked fine all night. Sounds to me like a lot of people were just given faulty machines because one that works... well, works.

    Hated using this thing, even though everything was connected and I didn't get any flashes the few times I woke up in the middle night, I used this two nights in a row and the first night was a struggle and I got 50% good data (with the nasal cannula flashing orange when checking the good data) and last night got 25% (even though this night went way more smoothly) and the nasal cannula was flashing orange for that also. Hopefully the data is sufficient for the sleep lab because I genuinely can't tell what I was doing wrong since everything was green throughout the night

    I'm taking the test tonight and was told at the sleep center that the device turns on automatically at 10p and off at 7a.
    Of course, I had to do a trial run at 4p and clipped the device around my chest and a light starts flashing -I then read on the instructions that once you connect it, it starts to record.
    I called the sleep center and the receptionist said that all of the people that would know about the device were gone for the day -she said to just wear it tonight and it doesn't work you'll have to reschedule.
    I know it's not her fault, but that was supposed to be the help line - I had to wait 6 weeks for today's appointment!
    The light stopped flashing -so is it on or off?
    Of course, I'll wear the damn thing and go to sleep 3 hrs. earlier than normal (wish me luck with that) in case it turns off after 9 hours like it's supposed to -which would be 1a.

      Hi Trevor, Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Your provider can indeed set up a time for when the Alice NightOne will be recording its session. Because the device is designed for easy use, the Alice NightOne will turn on automatically when you connect the belt and starts recording when all the assigned accessories are successfully connected.
      If the sleep study itself hasn't collected enough data, your provider can always schedule a new sleep session. 🙂
      To see if the device is on or off, you can check the inside of the finger probe. If the red light is on, it means the AliceNight One is recording. The lights on the device itself will turn off in a particular order, so the light doesn't interrupt the sleep study.
      So if the lights are off, but the finger probe is still on, the device is still recording.

    Can't get the chest light to turn off I have the damn thing all the way tight and it still flashes. I have to take another sleep study or pre sleep study even though I had a BiPAP machine before but the effing insurance wants me to take a new test.

    I ran into a few problems. Getting the finger light to turn green was a challenge. I thought it could sense a pulse. But once I additionally taped the cord over a major vein of my hand, it finally turned green. In the middle of the night, the finger connector came loose. Either it made a noise or the glow of the machine woke me to fix it. I naturally got up and had to pee at 3 a.m and could not fall back asleep until maybe 4:30. A.m. then, at 7 I awoke and only indicator on was a + symbol which I guess is battery low. I still got the green spheres to circle showing a good test? I'll have to follow up with my doc when they open for the day

    I have to take an at home test for pre-employment purposes. As far as I know, I don't have sleep apnea but given the fact that passing or failing this test, will be the difference between getting the job or not, I am concerned about taking one, especially reading that most people who take the test, are diagnosed with some mild form of it.
    Is there a way to cheat the AT HOME test? Can't I just stay awake in bed for 8 hours while wearing it?

      @Joe Mcbride Possibly something that involves driving. Some cases of sleep apnea have the patients dosing off for a second here and there for lack of sufficient sleep, which can be dangerous for driving.

    Busty lady here. The only way I could get the flashing orange light to go off for the effort belt was to put it above my breasts instead of below. Every bit of guidance I could find was geared towards flat chests. Sad lack of forethought.

    This device reminds of old fake medical Fisher-Price toys that I played with as a kid.
    I slept ok, but not as good as I have been. Two times I woke up and the cannulas were out of my nostrils. I had them taped well, and not sure how they came out. The last couple of hours of sleep they stayed in. Hopefully good enough. Got a 50% good quality data rating at the end. Cannula and effort belt showed up in yellow, but should have gotten enough info to determine if I have apnea or not.

    I slept around 6 hours with it and got all the wedges to be green when I woke up, but the most annoying part is the strap, if you want it to stay green the whole night, it needs to be tight otherwise it will go yellow, now my back hurts from wearing the strap tight

    What a nightmare. This device is insanely fickle, the slightest movement or shift in position will cause the orange lights to turn on. I had it on for almost 8 hours, was aware of the device the entire night and therefor tried to maintain a still position as best I could. Yet, this morning, the lights indicated only 25% of good data collected. I don't know how else I could make this thing work.

    I have an issue where it pretends to boot up after you plug in the straps, at first i could only get a little plus icon off to the left side to come on then after fiddling with the straps some i got the circle light to come on for about 40 seconds then no lights at all with zero attempts to show the sensor reddiness lights. only indicator of life is the red light inside the pulse ox. Of course there is zero late night tech support to contact if there are any issues. you know at the time you would be using this device. especially if it's a one night test.

    Horrible device. Everything gets disconnected while sleeping. You are constantly aware and have to fix. I got my results back that showed mild sleep apnea. These results are wrong as they said all events were in up position when in reality I was laying flat on my bed on my back all night. Could someone explain how that could be possible? Thanks!

    The center where I picked up the unit said I was NOT supposed to touch the middle button, unlike what the video said. I forgot to heed this advice and DID in fact hit the middle button. Whoops…The center is closed today, so I can’t reach them. Will this ruin my test from last night? Can I do it again or is it a one time use? Thanks.

      Hi, Thanks for sharing your message with us. Pressing the round user button briefly will light up the sensor icons to see if they are connected and working properly, it won't interfere with the readings of the Alice NightOne. 🙂
      When you press and hold the user button until the study indicator (the four parted circle shape) flashes, it ends the test, stops the recording and turns off the device. The device can be turned on again by pressing and holding the user button until the study indicator flashes again.
      If the device has been turned off during a study session, it's best to check in with the center if this will affect the result once they are open again. Hope this information is helpful, If you have any more questions feel free to message us again at any time.

    I will receive my at home sleep test machine in a day or two. My question is, what if I have to use the toilet a couple of times a night? Will that affect my sleep study data? Do I have to disconnect everything from my body to use the toilet? Any help from you previous users will be a huge help. Thank you!

      I got up a few times in the night and it didn't affect the data. I removed the nose and finger sensors to use the bathroom but it's not really necessary. Good luck 👍

      If you disconnect the sensors, the device might turn off. However, as Philips responded in reply to another comment, this should not erase any data on the device.
      I think the best idea would be to keep them on as much as possible - the device should be smart enough to read the data, notice that you have woken up, and then continue collecting data once you get back to sleep.

    I was wearing the Alice NightOne device for 5 hours but no Good Study Indicator light comes on when I press the front button. If I press the front button does it restart the study or just show me the status of the sensors? If I take off the belt does the data get erased? Is there an email address I can contact for support? I don't have a phone.

      According to the above video (and the manual), the good study indicator light only shows up after the device has been turned off. You can turn off the device by pressing the front button for 5 seconds, or by simply removing the sensors (see video above).

    What parameters this system checks?
    oxygen level on your finger, right?
    Heart beat?
    There is a breathing sensor in your nose with membrane. It checks ... what exactly? when you breath out or breath in?
    that box on your chest... What else does it check beside the heart beat and monitoring other sensors?

      I actually went looking for these details, and I was unable to find them. The finger sensor seems to be a regular pulsoximeter (heart rate, blood oxygen saturation). And I guess that the chest strap is monitoring respiratory movements (when you breathe in and out). However, I am not yet sure what the nose cannula is monitoring - flow? gas concentrations?

      @@BogdanSass yes, it's monitoring the airflow and snoring via pressure transducer. It is the parameter that is actually used to determine apnoe events (along with the belt). You're also correct that the fingerclip is pulseoximetry (saturation and pulse). This equipment also monitors your body position via actimetry.

    Is there a way to check how many hrs of sleep it’s recorded? My husband never gets a lot of sleep and we don’t know if it’s recorded enough

      Hello Amber. Thank you for reaching out. Normally, when the nasal cannula is flashing orange, it means the device was unable to record the sufficient amount of data.     I had a rough night trying to sleep with it. I only ever got 2 hours of sleep at a time. I know the Dr. Said they needed/wanted at least a 4 hour continuous sleep. But when I check the test status as instructed it lights up all 4 green boxes. No icons (for chest, air or finger). Not sure if I need to do it another night or not.

      Yeah the 3 sensor icons do not light up for me as it indicates in the video. I press the middle button and only the pie looking one lights up for me and then disappears after 5 seconds.

    After using a CPAP for 20 years, the BCBS bean counters said I need to do this test to tell me I will need another sleep study to determine my pressures. Wife is making my do this test in the spare bedroom so I do not keep her up all night. I'm not going to get restful sleep because I will be waking myself up all night. Feeling grumpy already.

    Green cross is good right because I’m confused here… no talking at all on this video. How do you send me dead batteries… that’s not what my insurance paid for I should have to go out redo my study bc the batteries that came with it were dead or not fully charged this is so frustrating

    Solition I found- remove the batteries and start from beginning. Thid worked after 30 mins of tryinf evwrything else witj the strap

    Does this company has a demonstration for the actual machine or the mouth gadget that you would eventually use to help your breathing? is it really a practical thing or something complicated and makes you hate yourself? 20 odd years ago I used a clutch-like breathing apparatus for only four weeks and went again on using nasal sprays. Thanks for your insight

    The strap should have velcro and not plastic clips. I had a hard time and had to tie the strap in a bunch of knots. The nose hose felt like tooth picks and I had to remove it after an hour and a half of not being able to sleep. If they had of spent 20 seconds helping fit the unit (strap) it would have saved 10 minutes of frustration.

    Worst experience ever. Spent over an hour last night trying to make everything work and get it all adjusted. Belt light never turned green; I called and was advised to try using as is. After a very restless night trying to stay comfortable with all this crap on, I woke this morning to find NO lights were on, no red finger light, nothing. Have to make a special trip back to the clinic to see if it picked up anything during the night, which I guarantee it didn't. Have to cancel a dentist appt to make this trip so they can likely give me another unit, demanding that it be returned over the next couple of days, during which I'll be out of town and will thus have to reschedule this whole stupid thing for God knows when. Great process....thanks

    My doctor's instructions said pressing the button will make results disappear. I was on a 2 night study and pressed the button figuring that turns it on/off before I read those written instructions the next day. I guess I just lost the data from the restless sleep I got that night. The finger light never came on. and btw, I can't bend my head downward toi see those flashing icons with the dang thing on my chest.

    Yep, the oxygen monitor on the finger is jacked. Unfortunately, I can't throw it as I signed a manditory $6000 fee if I break it. With fees like that they should have better equipment.

    Do I wear this device with my CPAP Mask, or do I go “CPAP-Less” for the night? Which will be next to impossible since I’ve worn a CPAP for 30 years now.

    This was much simpler than the booklet it came with...and this video was perfect with the music, a voice over is more distracting...( ...and i love that it irritates "cranky" people...they must not be getting proper sleep 😂 )

    Had no issues connecting everything, my issue had to do with the dang orange light coming on while I was not even moving 🙄 - even though everything was connected properly (since I checked at least 3 times before saying the heck with it and going to sleep).

    The pulse oximeter probe doesn't work properly. It sucks. I put everything perfectly. I lost 2 hrs of test and I haven't get through this step. And it doesn't help that there's no one to help away night during the problem. I'll die with this condition eventually...

    So we have to sleep with a big bulky plastic thing around/near or chest that looks uncomfortable….for people who already have troubles sleeping. Way to go insurance underwriters and sleep test designers.

      My only problem with the strap was the fact that it was intended for a 54" chest. I had to tie a knot in the belt in order to get it tight enough to get a green light.

      @@daveminer5866 i think the point here is also because sleep apnea patients tend to be large in body size so they have to design an elastic strap with plenty of room for stretch.

    Awful. My first sleep test and it kept me up all night with the flashing chest strap sign. I adjusted it dozens of times and still don’t work, tightened it and it still went off. Even when I was laying perfectly still it went off.

      We have the same issue right now. My husband is currently laying in bed perfectly for his sleep test. I am monitoring his tests and this belt icon kept on flashing yellow.. No matter what i do with the belt it will turn green but in a few minutes, back to flashing yellow again.

      Having same issue. Push connectors in tighter and is fine for 15 minutes, then back flashing again.

    It just didn’t work for me. My husband and I worked with the belt for an hour. I am small and there was way too much belt. We tried wrapping it around me twice. It was either sliding down or so tight it was uncomfortable and I couldn’t breathe. I am so disappointed as I need this sleep study desperately. I have developed AF most likely because of apnea’s all night long. I only get a few hours of fragmented sleep each night and I am exhausted when I awake each day. I think Phillip’s needs to come up with a different belt one geared for smaller people.

    I HOPE enough DATA was collected!! I called customer service for an issue with the finger sensor that wouldn't stay green. I was told how many tshe gets calls about this issue instead of how to rectify the issue. She also said my choices were to use it as is or to wait for another one to be sent, i NEED ANSWERS Immediately...I fell asleep at a traffic light recently!!

    My strap light won't turn green no matter what I do, but the pulse oc and cannula turns green... Will my sleep data still be fully recorded? Idk why the strap light won't turn green, I've made it as tight as I can. Sigh

    I'm a pretty intelligent person and can handle gadgets or at least I could before...If one is using this gadget, then most likely, they are feeling fatigued, impatient, and irritable. Luckily, I had someone to help me get the whole thing configured. It should be more simple.

    The only light that’s turning on for me is a flashing green plus sign on the far right. Connected everything just fine, but still only that one light turns on. Cant find any information at all on what that’s supposed to mean? Nothing mentioned about it in manuals or in these videos. I feel kind of ridiculous and frustrated for not being able to figure it out??
    I’d call the customer support line, but it’s already well into nighttime and it’s not live at this time. Kind of frustrating having your support phone line only active during the day, when it’s going to be at night that people are trying to use these things. Not only that, my provider issued me this device to use over the weekend. No line to call at all no matter the time of day.

      Figured it out. Just had to replace the batteries. Now I’ve got to figure out how to get this dang strap light to stop flashing. I was not provided that strap adjuster, just the 2 clips and the strap itself. My guess is that’s why it’s being so difficult. Overall not the easiest or most relaxing setup :/ should’ve been falling asleep 45 minutes ago.

      I am having the same problem tonight. I cannot get the damn belt sign to stop flashing. I tightened it so much I couldn't breathe. I called the number my sleep clinic gave me and the operator just laughed and said no ones here. Umm wtf

      @@srw6932 man that’s rough. when I finally laid down the belt light turned green, but only after fiddling around with it for a while. it didn’t have to get so tight that I couldn’t breathe, but it was snug. Maybe it’s supposed be tight but not too tight? It’s a weird balance. Sorry to hear you’re having the same issues, it’s not relaxing at all trying to wind down for the night while trying to wrestle with this thing.

    I had an absolutely miserable time wearing this. The unit would constantly light up as having technical issues with the chest strap throughout the night, flashing orange and stressing me out to the point that I barely slept in Night 2 of the study, lying awake trying to get the damn thing into a proper position until about 4:00 a.m. - even after being "ok" for several minutes, it would randomly start flashing again even if I hadn't shifted position. Would be nice if Philips could offer a full-on FAQ and troubleshooting guide and explanation of what each sensor does rather than just tell you how to put this on and take it off.

    What is the green plus sign light and why won’t it go away?? I’ve looked everywhere for this information. You don’t even have it in your user manual Philips!! There’s nothing from anywhere about this. I’ve tried everything I’ve seen online. New batteries. Adjusting straps 20 times. Nothing makes the green light go away. Is the test going to work? Or is it a defective unit?
    I’ve had this machine for a week and tried to use it 4 times and each night it’s another issue with a never ending nightmare. I can’t get any sleep and now I’m probably going to have to do it all over again.
    NightOne? More like nightmare!!

    Once I have connected everything and all is good, I have a green + sign lighting up every so often the spinning circle (who doesn't show up at the same time). Any reason for that?

      I started seeing the green plus sign in the middle of the night instead of the sensors. I’m guessing my night didn’t count & I’ll have to do this again. 🤨

    Woke up with no lights on, even the finger sensor. Now I’m worried I’ve messed it up, should the red sensor still be in the finger. If I tape the button it just flashed a green + sign?

    It was easy to set up.first night the chest strap got more lose during the night and i had to try to tighten. Didn't even get 4 hours of sleep. second night was better. I would like to see a better strap on this.
