This has always been my favorite song of Extreme's. Nuno Bettencourt is a fantastic guitarist!! Gary (lead singer) and Nuno sound awesome together, when those two harmonize. Check out "More Than Words". It's Beautiful!!
Extreme = Ahead of their time, criminally under rated, and Nuno Bettencourt (lead guitar, 2nd vocals) played for Rhianna on her tour. I'd say we can give some flowers 🤷
I'm in this video!! 2 Boston Bruins players were as well....Cam Neeley (had a broken leg, took Nunos guitar and I'm between, right behind them quickly of course 😉) and Lyndon Byers! LB!! Was a long day and SO much fun!! Was lip sync but they wanted it to look like people were just walking up. Fans found out on the local ROCK radio station the day of!!! So whoever could go...went!!! Word got out before the radio announced it I'm sure....but still was way before cell phones! I have lots of pictures....ty for this!!!
It made top 5 on the charts! After More than Words went to #1 they released this one next, just didn't do as well. Unfortunately the Rocl scene was dwindling and grunge was on the scene. But their 3rd album....you NEED to hear the 3rd side, called Everything under the Sun. It's a masterpiece. 3 sings combined to 1...it may change your life!! It did mine!!! ❤️💯🔥
I'm guessing that is you @ 2:54? I was trying to match you up with your profile pic. That must have been cool being there. I am from Mass, but never got to see them perform.
Great reaction! I am familiar with their song "More Than Words" which is a beautiful ballad but had not heard this song! I love it! Thanks for sharing!
I enjoyed the song and reaction, Harri. As I listened to this song I had the sense there was a deeper message and as it turns out that is the case. Lead singer Gary Cherone came up with an interesting heartbreak metaphor on this track: He has a hole in his heart, and there's only one who can fill it. The song though, is not about a girl, but about God. Cherone is a devout Christian, but when writing rock lyrics he didn't make that obvious. When speaking with Christian publications, he made his beliefs clear, and even quipped that he plagiarized some lyrics for "Hole Hearted" from the Bible.
This was actually released in ‘90 - likely written in ‘89 or even earlier. Sadly, this group was lumped-in with hair metal bands of the ‘80’s and so were ultimately vanquished. And tho their music could be rightly described as eclectic.
Harri have you checked any of their new stuff they just came out with a new album a few months ago and they're going out on tour they're fantastic!! I think you would love over the rainbow and beautiful girls ❤️
Tasmin Archer's Sleeping Satellite, Harri? I imagine you already know it, though, from the 90s. I asked somewhere else, but I'm sure comments can be overwhelming.
You should check out something like a live version of Get he Funk Out. This is one of their bigger hits but it doesn't do them justice. They were a killer funk metal band, and Nuno is in the same league as Van Halen, Lynch, and Malmsteen but never got the recognition.
I was 12 or 13 when I used to watch the video on MTV. It was a moderate hit. It wasn't a huge hit. It got some play, but not the recognition it deserved.

That's real them singing, I was there
I used to love this song when I was a kid. Still holds up so well
I love ❤ 😍 Extreme especially Nuno Bettencourt
Excellent song, grest rhythm and harmonizing 😊
Guitarist Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme, I believe is/was the touring guitarist/session guitarist of Rihanna...random trivia/GK for y'all
Extreme = Ahead of their time, criminally under rated, and Nuno Bettencourt (lead guitar, 2nd vocals) played for Rhianna on her tour. I'd say we can give some flowers 🤷
Gary Cherone is the primary singer. The guitarist with long dark hair is Nuno Bettencourt. I bought this album in 1991, lol.
This was popular on the radio
Favorite Extreme song by far
Oh heck yeah!!! I remember this one but didn't know who done it. Nice pick Rob Taylor. 👍👍👍
I love this band
Great song, have always liked them, especially Nuno Bettencourt
Likewise. Need a reaction to some of Nuno's solo work, he is amazing.
@@cjpew Born in Portugal and brought up in Massachusetts can't count the times I have seen him with Boston

This song is where Nuno became a MONSTER
I love them so much and this is one of my favorites!

LOVE!!!! Thanks!! Harri!! I forgot about this gem!!!!
SO HAPPY you react to this masterpiece!! ❤️ Hugs, from Mesa, Arizona 🌵 USA
This was the first song I learned on Guitar
Such an underrated band. Incredibly great musicians. There’s no bad song from them. And this is just one of the acoustics, check Peacemaker Die
Awesome 👍better than that blooming "words" song.
"Get the funk out" is another banger by them 😎

It went to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
(It should've gone all the way to #1 like "More Than Words" did!)
When a band can sing and play together you have something very special I hope we have a tour coming soon:)
If you haven't already seen it, listen to Extreme "More Than Words" ❤
The forgotten Van Halen lead singer
Gary Charone.

Yeah, with an album name like 'Pornograffiti', lol.
They're still together and have a new album coming out soon
Extreme actually put some funk into their music. I can’t say I really know them, but I do know they were kind of funky, nothing like any hair bands.

She's very active on another platform and retweets reactions if she sees them. Such a great video!

Anyone else notice the Great Sex book on top of the bookcase? Lmao😂
Love this
EXTREMELY good 😂😍😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕💕
My favorite song is Get the Funk Out.
70's and 80's music was the bomb but some 90's and early 2000's was right up there. Not alot but there was some. Now music has lost its way
Very nice!
There's two ways to interpret the song, one way is as a lover to another, or as a man to his GOD.
Gary's lyrics are full of biblical parallels. Heart of stone, feet of clay. A good writer can do both. Love this song.
Ahhhh I love this !!! ❤keep it up man 🔥🔥I would love for you to react to one of Nunos songs off of his schizophonic album
1991 what a year.
Gary Cherone is the lead singer
Doesn’t sound 33 years old
