Yeah, they've really embraced the music video as a separate piece of art. It kinda reminds me of Metallica for 72 Seasons. They also seemed to get that RUclips is really one of the primary places people are consuming music, so they took advantage of the platform. I love it.
I really, really hope they do a video for "Thicker Than Blood." That's my favorite track on the album.

Such a mix of styles: Queens of Stone Age, Jim Morison, even a bit of M.Mason. That guitar solo has Nunos face all over it :D another freaking great song Xtreme! Great job

The first time I heard the bass intro it reminded me of Marlin Manson's "The Beatifull People"
I was getting ready to write the exact same thing! 😂
And Nuno's deep vocals also sound oddly reminiscent of some of Manson's vocals but...you know, better.
It's the beat, the rhythm, the whole song that is evocative of the beautiful people. This is just so much better. Beautiful people good song, The Mask is a work of art that will never get old. Sadly it will never be irrelevant either. @@LikeMindedLunatics
Funny reaction man! Saw them live last week. Gary’s a maniac on stage, running, twisting and jumping. Nuno ofcourse killing it with the guitar. Handsome bastard nohomo. They’re amazing live.

The closest they came to use was Denver, so not only would we have had to travel, it was during a time when I was busy. I keep hoping after they do Japan and Europe they'll come back around.

Nuno also produces some of the videos. "Banshee" for sure, can't remember what other ones. I never had a clue that was Nuno singing either.
This band is just brothers with God given talent.

This is my first time hearing this song but everything about it sounds so familiar. I wish I could remember what it reminds me of because it's going to be bugging me for the rest of the day 🤔
Yeah man it's killing me, too. The other songs on this album have really clear inspirations, and I'm pulling my hair out trying to place this one. Someone else mentioned STP, and the song itself does kinda sound STPish, but I feel like Nuno's singing has a clear reference point that I cannot place!
I guess we'll have to listen to it a dozen or so more times!

Nuno confesed he was kind of impersonating Jim Morrison
Vocal is a cross between Man in the Box and Sex Type Thing. I like the message the way I interpret it: that we should be ourselves, a jumbled mix of features, and stop pretending. We shouldn’t judge or be judged by one thing that we are. I wish for a world where it’s safe and no big deal to just be who you are. Unfortunately, that’s not where we are.
Nuno sings like this in some of his Mourning Widows stuff.

Extreme dropping truth bombs about the the oxymoron that is the push for diversity at all costs as ignoring/outcasting certain opinions is not true diversity. The dudes have been based since warheads and rest in peace.
You cannot tolerate intolerance. Look into the Paradox of Tolerance for a further explanation as to why.
@@godlessveteran2431 not tolerating intolerance is intolerance. That’s why it’s called a paradox. There is no absolute right or wrong just perspectives. Diversity can’t exist without true diversity of thought. Diversity Equity and Inclusion sometimes seems a lot like Uniformity of thought Equity and Exclusion of opposing views. That is why it’s a contradiction in terms. By all means be kind respectful and tolerant. It’s encouraging to see the world waking up a little and balancing itself again

@@godlessveteran2431 Gosh your snipey aren’t you, suggesting somebody saying something you don’t agree with should stop ‘mouthing off’, hopefully, the irony of your statement isn’t lost on your ‘learned self’. Essentially, what you’re saying is that there is no such thing as tolerance. Not sure if that’s what you intended, it’s the only logical outcome. Intolerance vs intolerance. I’m actually pretty tolerant in general. Everyone has red lines to tolerance. I’m sure you have red lines to tolerance. It’s human. One of the things I’m not particularly tolerant to is people that dive in to comments they don’t agree with, quote a philosophical theory to try and discredit a comment that they don’t agree with and then attempt to attack the intelligence of the individual that posted the comment. All you had to do was say: you know what, ‘I don’t agree with that statement’, but instead, you went and made you look like a snobby know it all….All over a comment about a he intro to a video from a rock band. You might want to check out the #rebel track as I think it might be dedicated to you.
