Fun fact, this is a much more upbeat version of the song specifically made for the music video. The track on the album is slower and a bit different. Both are good, but I wish they would've added this version as a bonus track. They had 4 singers on this album! (Their only album to have that happen)

Im a little late to the party, but i just got to the point where you say the track is getting a little darker and it reminded me that Norman (the bald guy) has a pretty big catalogue of solo stuff under "Norman Pain", and it's dark as all fuck. For context, he was sent to prison for a long time, while he was there his parents died, and his wife left him, taking the kids, so when he was released he was homeless and had nobody, so that experience is what he raps about in his solo stuff. Its heavy going, but absolutely phenomenal.

My son and I have a running gun battle on if Black Sabbath is still considered Black Sabbath when Dio took the reigns and who is the better singer. I think you have a great comparison and from my pov Ozzy provides a more grounded vocal performance where Dio is powerful and has a wider vocal range. That being said, my point is that Black Sabbath is still Black Sabbath regardless of whether Ozzy or Dio is singing (only comparing these two). My son says it isn't Black Sabbath when Dio is singing and there is only Ozzy 😂😂😂 Anyway, great comparison on a great song and i like both version performed by ...Black Sabbath🤘🤘🤘😜

I think the issue with fans disliking the album is because they expect it to be harder. If you ignore the fact that it's from a thrash band, and listen to it for what it is (which is more like alternative rock), it's actually a very good album. People just need to stop expecting bands to stick to one genre throughout their lifetime. If Metallica released a Country album it would probably still be awesome, and I'd probably still love it.

They were both great. The difference is that one is what you expect at a fancy piano bar. When the song is over it's followed by polite clapping. The other version is being played on the beater at the back of a dive bar. When it's over the musician is greeted by silence and the stares of bunch of bikers with suspiciously sweaty cheeks. As a listner you just need to choose the venue you prefer.
