  • Drosera ascendens needs very cool temperatures year-round to do well (70 degrees F or less). It also prefers high humidity. A nightly temperature drop is preferred, as well. I've only managed to get it to this size after 2 years. It usually shrinks back in growth during the warmer months in my house during the summer.

Sometimes, it seems I'm unable to convey the true shape/size of each sundew species using only pictures, so I hope the "video tour" gives you a better understanding about this sundew.

    Hey there sundewman!!
I actually have one of these, a "red" one, and even though my conditions aren't ideal (Mediterranean climate) she does ok!! She doesn't have near as much dew as yours but it is growing like mad, and i try to always keep it feed just in case!!
Any other tips you could give me? thank you!!
