Sometimes, it seems I'm unable to convey the true shape/size of each sundew species using only pictures, so I hope the "video tour" gives you a better understanding about this sundew.
This sundew can be found occasionally at Lowes, Home Depot, or from vendors online, such as Sarracenia Northwest, Cook's Carnivores, or Cascade Carnivores.

Very beautiful adelae, not to mention the ceph, wow! Beautiful!
Thank you for this Video... i am new to the CP world... and i am trying to find as much info as i can :)
I find these to be a favorite in my small collection of sundews. Propagation is far easier and more productive than I expected and they definitely spread out in the pot fast! I have some in natural light in a south facing window and under artificial lights. The natural light makes them very red, the artificial light I'm using only makes the tentacles? Red but both are very dewy and I have no issues with fungus gnats among my houseplants
Nice Adelae, and ceph u have there!
very lovely cephalotus - and of course the droseras! :)
do these roll up like the capensis when an insect is trapped?
That is a truly beautiful culture of CPs. I am exceedingly jealous.
From which website did you bought your Cephalotus and your Drosera Adelae ?
2 years? Can they live without eating rhat long?
Finally more videos!
Does feeding affect the color at all?
Lowes in this area doesn't carry carnivorous plants anymore.Mine never get red.
+Fritz Schumacher Because they need a lot of light to get red. If the dew or trichomes are turning red that's a good sign of adequate lighting.
+Alex X. I must then keep the lights on 24/7
+Fritz Schumacher No, that's a sure way to kill most. They need a resting period at night. You just need stronger lights or to get them closer to the lights, at least 14 hours of light every day if they don't need winter dormancy
you need to use growlight
Thanks for sharing.
Can I have one for free I really want one
No
All of the plants in that pot are absolutely gorgeous. Awesome video!
Lowe's!? We normally only get dead Venus flytraps in Virginia lol. Great vid bud thanks for sharing😁
I enjoyed the rant. I usually learn more from that information than than the play by play. It's a real world point of view and I can relate with it better than scientific stuff. Thanks for the video..Good info
How you've been? it's been so long since you updated your lovely collection. Hope you're fine :)
Beautiful drosera you have growing. I have a question, are there really a red and green form? I have seen on some carnivorous nurseries that they sell a red form and dont know if its bred like that or that it's just a normal green one that has just turned red because of lots of light.
WOW! I just got me one of these, but it's younger.. i wish mine come near as beautiful!
How’s it now?
Does this plant or other red varieties let's say of d. capensis red, or filiformis red turn completely red with direct sunlight?
Omg, something is going on with this episode its not that clear plays then stops :<
Mean while back here at the office I planning to try out some Ausi drosera here in the near future. d.prolifera, d. falconeria, d. schizandra. When I first started with sundews d. adelae
didn't make it. Just remember d. hamiltoni will be in there to. Thank you again.
Will keep you posted.
Kyddoemiko.
hey I was wondering I have two different tropical sundew plants and both seem to be growing but have no do on them. I keep them in a terrarium with four fluorescent lights on top. at night I get about 80 percent humidity and when the lights are on during the day I get about 45 percent. I had recently divided them could that be the problem of why they're not producing dew?
LOVE Adaleas! I have lots of them. Also love Spatulata. Good video! Thanks!
hey there love your vids.
i need help i keep drosera but there loosing dew and ive neva had this problem
there at 60% humidity temp is about 75f
4 T5 bright white bulbs and 4 bars of l.e.d lighting (plenty of light)
and 6 computer fans dotted about.
all outher plants are thriving apart from the drosera. my cuneifolia is the only one doing really well full of dew
can you help ??
+luke osborne I gave a lot of crushed digestible food to capensis and spatulata. They ended up making a lot of dew even during winter just sitting in my room by the windowsill. They dried up and shrunk right away once I got lazy and stopped giving them much food though.....
Unlike Flytrap or Nepenthes, they require food and can eat way more than them and won't be overfed. In fact, Spatulata especially grows flowers right away and makes a lot of babies and grows REAL fast with food. I gave them crushed fish food. The food is for fish called Beta. Works well for Nepenthes too.
