India stayed equal with Belgium for three quarters in the men's hockey semi-final before the World Cup champions broke through in the fourth to hand Manpreet Singh’s side a 5-2 defeat.
The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Summer Games are taking place in Japan, from July 23, 2021 to August 8, 2021.

Not gonna easy match for India. Almost all the top european team have better speed and attacking strategic as compare to their Indian counterpart. We need to be aggressive and try to convert every PC we get in the match then only we have any chance.

Before the current generation, they reached a semi-final in 1972, a final in 1980 and another semi-final in 1986, Belgium also qualified for 19 major tournaments in total ( 13 World cups and 6 Euro's ). Just because they had a bad period between 2002 and 2010, doesn't mean they were nobody.
Belgium has always been ranked among the top 20 countries in football ( aside from that 1 bad period ).

Exactly. After taking 2-1 lead, India played too defensive and didn't try to attack that proved them costly. They didn't learn from the last match where Britain tried to make similar comeback but was saved by Hardik goal.

@@Hello-by7kgit is the crazy India fans who have made the game rich. That's why the stadiums are packed. You will not see empty stands even when neutral countries play on Indian soil. There is also the tv coverage which follows the game closely with live coverage for any cricket match happening in the world. We as fans are first responsible and then follows the media. Do we see this kind of following for football in India or any other sport for that matter in our country. Cricket is to India what football is to the world.

The referee awarded the penalties for fun as if he was there to help Belgium overhaul the Indian lead n put them comfortably ahead at the end of 4th quarter! Sad to see India exit yet again in the semi-final stage, making a scenario of so close yet so far! But this issue has to be put up to the Olympic committee regarding these officials who keep on helping the opposition when we play! I am quite sure that we would have scored more had we been given the amount of penalties which Belgium got! Fought well till the third quarter. By watching the match one feels that penalty corner rule should be changed. Only for deliberate blocking only penalty to be given like in football for hand. Now even one get penalty corner even by putting the ball from behind.
So if getti g penalty corners is so easy, it must be easy for Indians too isn't it?

No i don't think you would have done a better umpiring. You need to know the rules first. If you did, you would know better than to blame the loss on refree. Belgium played more attacking style and the circle penetrations were more in the 4th quarter. And when you are in inner circle, there is always a high chance of conceding penalty corners🤷♂️
