53 minutes that flew by way too quickly. Insightful, authentic and life-affirming - and wholly agree that "clean cars are nicer to drive, fact!" Thank you , gentlemen 👏
😊😊
Love it only started watching around episode 50 so just wanted to check in at the beginning I'm more into motorbikes but enjoy listening to Mr Harris and co thanks very much keep it up 😊
This is outstanding! 53 minutes of brilliant, clever intellectual chat. Can this be a regular slot please?
Very enjoyable experience. Felt like a bunch of mates just chatting freely like if no one is watching. 👏🏼.
It was an incredible show I can see that all you automotive experts are saying the same thing about electric cars you should be saying it in front of the Parliament or the Congress because it’s ridiculous that this is happening
Thanks Gentlemen, Was a pleasure listening to you all, especially the realistic outlook on EV's. Looking forward to the next one.
Glad to see a new podcast, really appreciate it.
This makes my addiction to cars feel normal amazing keep it up !
Please do more of these it was very nerdy and very watchable and that’s always a good thing in my books!
Alonso is one of the greatest drivers to have ever lived, and that talent comes with an intensely Spanish personality. He is the best driver in the world to expose any faults with the team or the car. And he doesn't take prisoners.
Great format, please keep it coming. For me, your synopsis on most of the subjects is spot on. The EV debate is an interesting one, there appears to be so much hatred generally toward EV's however one can't help but feel it is because people feel they are being pushed towards them so they'll find fault at every opportunity. I'm an 'adopter' with an RS ETron GT, I don't believe they are the sole future of motoring but they are an alternative like keeping current cars longer and / or having synthetic fuels, reality is that whichever car you have and whatever it is powered by, each has an environmental impact, the utopia is one that has minimal to none at all. For how I live my life an EV is ideal, I don't have access to home charging so am reliant on public infrastructure which is fine near me, great round the doors but easy to do a road trip in. Managed North East of England to GFOS and separately to Paul Ricard round trips last year without an issue and it took within a hour as long as it would in my former ICE car (RS7). But it is also a different way of driving. Can't stand Tesla and their fanboys BTW, not even the EV community can be doing with them!
Giles' article was a gripe at JLR with a few soundbite grenades on infrastructure thrown in. For urbanites they are ideal, especially the school run brigade in their active wear on the way to the gym with their take away coffee after dropping Ben or Brittany off given most EV's are SUV sized.
Brilliant conversations with a group of smart relevant chaps. Thanks CH
Enjoyable format. Like listening in on a group down the pub talking about car stuff.
Much, much more of this, please. Thanks!
Cheers guys a very enjoyable 50 odd minutes……..I am sure this could be an excellent weekly chat. Now where did I put my tea……
Jesus, a Litchfield t25! That’s the shit!
Big fan of this idle chat rambling. Cheers Gents.
Brilliant as always....
What an intelligent chat. Thoroughly enjoyed this panel. Thanks Chris H, Chris C, Manish, Neil, and Edward.
This is definitely what the car industry needs right now, some real conversation between diverse passionate enthusiasts.
Also Chris Harris wants an M140i, love it.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you all for taking the time!
Big fan of this idle chat rambling. Thanks Gents.
Knowing Chris's love for cheap $hitboxes would love an idol chat where they talk about £5k old hot hatches.
Great chat folks. Glad the e-fuel chat is building pace. Crazy this isn't at the front of governments conversations. Infrastructure in place with petrol garages etc.
Please do more of these - excellent work Collecting Cars! Bravo.
Good waffling, lads. I throughly enjoyed that. 👍🏾👍🏾
Great show, entertaining & interesting! Agree with a lot of what's said about the electric car industry, I've always thought it telling that the largest car manufacturer in the world is one of the last to offer fully electric vehicles? (in Europe at least)
Thank you for having a conversation I actually enjoyed listening to. Please keep doing this.
Fantastic! Great content. Thanks for your time. Cheers!
Missed the podcasts, really enjoyed this. Thanks guys
Really enjoyed that. Great mix of talent and insight. Thank you.
Fantastic conversations and points, but the audio quality could be better. For non native speakers it's not always that easy to follow.
Great panel. I am looking forward to the next one.
I am so thrilled by the idea of one of these every week!
I love this podcast so much Im going back to the start and watching them all in order. I think I started at episode 19 so I have 18 to watch for the first time! This first one was great and I can see how you have refined it from here. I really appreciated the EV stuff, having owned a few EVs Im going back to pure petrol as Chris summed it up perfectly (you have to watch to understand).
Please keep this going, really enjoyable. There's definitely still huge appetite for old geezer car chat 😉
Cracking chat there!! loved it! fellow i3 owner as well ;) Looking forward to the next one!
Loved all the panel members for their addition to the conversation
call it whatever yall want im gonna "tune in next time" ..... great show fellers...
from Arkansas,USA ... thank you have a blessed day
Enjoyed that , keep them coming. Love the Hyundai piece, I am one of those bmw customers who is waiting to take delivery of a relatively cheap (£25k) i20N hyundai as it ticks all the boxes , I’d highly rated fast enough to stay legal , warrantied for 5yrs and cheap to own , I will keep a Z4 3.0 as a second car but I don’t expect it to get too much use once the i20N turns up as the daily
Great pod, more please 👍🏻😃
What a fun segment. Try to kidnap Steve Sutcliffe and force him to do one of these.
Neil - brilliant to see you on here!
Well Done Gents. Really enjoyed that. Hope you can make it a regular thing
So good. Greatly insightful and fun
Such a decent chat, great lads. Keep them coming.
Excellent. More of this please.
Loved this with my coffee this morning, interesting about the electric car bubble, some interesting points, routing out the next episode now. Thank you
That was a great chat. Like the format keep these going please gentlemen. I personally am seriously considering the new Honda Civic Type R as a 2023 purchase for the future
Really enjoyed this show.
And yep certainly a clean car is quicker and quieter.
Hope "next time" won't be a long time!
Really enjoyed it! Some v interesting discussions and certainly thought provoking. Could listen to what car would you buy for 25k type talk all day. Keep ‘em coming! 👍
A 991TargaGTS is quite the best of all worlds, i go with Chris. There is no better car for a sunny sunday.
Great shows Gents. Couldn't agree more with everything has been said on this PodCast. EV's for local driving (50/60 miles a day max, so long as you have the space at home to charge them too). Sustainable Fuels is a better way to go, so long as the supply can meet the demand. SV & the FW14 @Silverstone, will hopefully open a lot of eyes and make people realise, that alternatives really do exist. We all just need to use some creative thinking or think outside of the Electric Box.
Great chat lads more of this please
Great video chat / podcast that! More of the same please 😊
Excellent content! I could sit through hours of this, 53 mins wasn't enough!!
This was great! Hope you do more.
Brilliant. It’s like listening into a car conversation in a pub. Can’t wait for each episode.
Excellent first episode filled with thought provoking chat between intelligent chaps. Looking forward to the next upload
Very interesting listening from very credible people, thanks for giving your time for us. Happy motoring
I'm with Chris - Get a Targa!
You guys are spot on re synthetic fuel and Manish was re the amazing conjuring trick and smart people earning vast wealth due to… carbon credits for EVs. Switch those credits off (or turn them to synthetic fuel investment) and the carbon reduction globally would be game changing. ICE vehicles can run on synthetic fuel. Any country and age of vehicle. The existing petrol/diesel fuel network infra (stations, tankers etc) can all switch to pumping synthetic (no need for new ev infra). Flip the investment/ credits to synthetic production and scale.
Great show, look forward to more
Love the format
Great chat!! Keep it up!
Great discussion fellas. Tesla price drop indicates EV motoring is a busted flush !!
Thank you gents, very entertaining and thoughtful commentary.
Magnificent episode keep it going .. that was a very interesting conversation and i hope many more subjects are covered.
Please do this regularly.
Thanks
Fantastic 53 minutes 👍
Great discussion. Looking forward to more deep dive on EVs and efuels. So of the facts were news to me. Which is good. Keep it up 💪🏻
Brilliant. More of this please!
Bloody loved this & I agree with all of you! Took the words right out of my mouth. Keep this coming.
Brilliant. Just brilliant. Obviously better for it but felt like the kind of chat that just made you want to chip in and contribute to - so many insightful, funny, relevant and resonating comments. I hope these carry on as although the podcasts have become fewer they were so so interesting.
Absolutely brilliant,a mix of wit, humour, knowledge and challenging thought.
I look forward to some silliness as well, when you do I'll add the story of the best bodge repair to the back end of a Capri in the 70's
Brilliant this, great assembly of car people
Exceptional conversation
Imagine in the last few seasons of Alonso, Fernando signs with say Redbull or Mercedes Benz.that would be bonkers
He clearly still has the motivation that Vettel lost sometime in 2018.
Loved it...Give us more.
Great chat chaps! More please.
Effing brilliant, could never get too much of this. More please. ( from the guy who showed you a photo of the E Type V12 up at Bicester )
That was bloody brilliant. Fantastic group. Felt like watching in on a proper mates chat in a pub.
On the Aston Stroll thing, worth reading SSO's website Karenable and his regular financial insight reviews of what is going on at AM cars and the dodgy funding from the marketing budget for the F1 team to keep his son occupied
Loved being a fly on the wall for a group of mates having pub chat 👍
So great to see this. Please continue 💪
Hopefully we will make these a more regular feature!
Brilliant! Loved it, thanks ❤
i absolutely love this! Great comradery. If the producton quality ups i can see this becoming very popular
Great to see Chris and the team back. Thoroughly enjoyed the Senna podcast and it’s great to hear that my one owner (me) Litchfield Type-25 might be of interest to a collector 😊
Joyful. I really hope you keep doing this.
Love this you guys. I want to hear more of these chats. I second a "Sofa Chat" as a weekly regular.
Loving the discussion, and seriously looking at SL63 now... Had no idea they'd tanked that much, I'm sure the maintenance would be ruinous compared to most alternatives in that range, but what a /thing/ for £30k
Which year was he talking about? I just can't get past the looks of the r230
A jolly chat clearly amongst friends. Good to cover many aspects of cars and motoring in one session. Hopefully when F1 starts up again some brief comment on the racing as well as the other numerous subjects that are clearly in the minds of the cast. Thank you all for the first of many episodes we will look forward to.
this is brilliant, informing, entertaining
Thank you for this content. Maybe next time we can get some quality audio happening?
Loved this. For next time discuss what rationale manufacturers have for outrageous prices for entry level cars.
Currently on holiday in Thailand & what a pleasure to watch & listen to 5 such knowledgeable guys talking cars. Comments about EV's are spot on, can't see the future is one we're being sold by HMG & internal combustion will be longer-lived than the doomsayers suggest
Hoping for more podcasts / chats like this.
Enjoyed that - thanks gents!
Glad this exists
Enjoyed - please keep them coming
Chris, don't forget all the Endurance Racing in the TCR class Hyundai is doing.
Lovely content. Really enjoyed that.
