Ride with us from Dubois, Wyoming to Moran Junction, 55 miles of diverse Wyoming scenery. Our ride starts in the pretty little town of Dubois and takes us through the colorful, eroded hills of the northern part of the Wind River Basin. As we travel northeast we climb up into the southern reaches of the Absaroka mountains and over the continental divide at 9,658' Togwetee Pass, arriving at Moran Junction, the southern gateway to Yellowstone Park.
Featuring Sean Ashby's song "Long Time Coming".

Nice video! Every time we go out through Wyoming we go through Dubois. We were told that the Pony Express still stops there as of 1997. Last time we were there.

Thank you! Yes we really like Dubois as well. It is pretty easy to imagine the pony express travelling along the Wind River through Dubois!

Man what a ride! You really bring the essence of riding alive with the sound of meadowlarks in the morning, to the perfect sound of your bike easing off at a turn and I really like your choice of music with Sean Ashby and that's just the sound! Great vid as usual. Thanks for sharing!

LOL Last time I went through there in 09 about 2 miles or so out of Dubois headed to Moran Junction they had taken the road out down to the dirt , the rain and wind were so bad it would push us into the other lane it was like that all the way to Moran Junction, Brings back great memories, Thanks for the video.

Robert, once again thanks for your clips. I always pull out my map, look at the route and follow you. As we are planning a ride through Wyoming this August we are looking for the best places to ride and what areas not to miss. Your clips are a great resource. Will you have a clip of a ride through Yellowstone? You seem to be heading in that direction. Thanks again.

Thank you for watching. I am glad that I can be of help in planning your ride, that is part of my intention with how I film and edit the videos. As for Yellowstone, I don't want to spoil the surprise, but let me say "stay tuned and you won't be disappointed in the following weeks".

Thanks for another great video ride in WY. What time of year did you shoot this? What months make up your riding season in WY? Thanks for the ride and taking us along.

Hello Scott, nice to hear that you enjoyed this video and other ones as well. Thank you for the comment and watching. I shot this video in August. As far as riding season goes, much of Wyoming should be enjoyable to ride from late May through early October. That being said, keep in mind that the high mountain passes will have a much shorter season, and in the shoulder seasons it is higher risk that there will be inclement weather that may make riding them very unpleasurable. We tend to like visiting Wyoming in August and September, although that time can still be quite hot in the basins, the passes will still be very comfortable.
I hope you continue along with us as we explore more of Wyoming's great roads and attractions in the future.

Robert Merz Thank you Robert. We live in San Diego which has one riding season (all year) but with that comes crowds, traffic and other unpleasantness. I know stop whining. It's just so easy to get lost in your videos and dream about the rides you post. I'll keep watching!

Hey Scott I understand your whining and I sympathize with you completely. A bike in a big city isn't for me either. Small town USA is just so enjoyable, and the rural highways between those small towns are the best. We have really enjoyed our visits to Wyoming, quiet, and beautiful! We also have enjoyed traveling in rural California, not too far from you, such as Joshua Tree. We have never ventured into San Diego, but my wife says it is on our list, so probably not too far into the future we are going to be coming that way to explore some of the rural areas, and to see a couple of the city's well known attractions. If you have the chance, make a break for it and tour a bit of Wyoming, a great way to reconnect with the things that should matter!
