Hello all, First mic I ever bought for my home studio was the akg p220. Not long after I acquired the TLM 103. After listening to my tlm 103 I was actually impressed with my akg mic.
That's awesome. Believe it or not better gear train your ears to be more appreciative for budget gear that's built well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
The SE is really good for the money based on specs and sound, is a nice alternative. But I do have the Blue Ember and that microphone is surprisingly good taking note that is a small diaphragm condenser, I paid less, got it brand new for $90 they include a 10" xlr cable. Nice video!
@@archiebeatz ok SO I liked it but decided to take it back for the blue ember that thing is 🔥🔥🔥 and perfect for a second mic on my desk my main mic is the TLM 102 which I got off the strength of your videos. Thanks man 🙌🏾
@@archiebeatz The Element sounds AMAAAAAAZING. I just got an Aston Stealth in the mail today and it also is amazing sounding. I also want to buy the Element now. I have tried many many mics in my day btw....... And kickass job doing s bit of singing on them. AWESOME stuff subbed...
Oh nice. Congratulations on starting the build to your home studio. I actually don't have a digital converter in my home studio. Most audio interfaces are now equipped with basic quality converters. Some interfaces with the best converters are Antelope Audio, Universal Audio and RME. That's a great place to start if you want better than average. I hope this help.
On some real levels, I love my NEAT Worker Bee, but that Aston Element has me wildly curious. Question would be, do you dig the worker bee at all? And if so, would you replace it with that element?
Yes! To be honest, the worker bee 1 is golden! I love it. It's just no longer available and hard to find. I'm doing a separate video on it. Also, I'm testing the worker bee II in a couple of weeks so be on standby for that video. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
why does cheaper mics have brittle terrible harsh sound. everytime i try to record, the harshness makes me delete my sessions. i need something affordable with aq1 quality for mixing
Hey what's up? It sounds like he uses a Neumann U87 Ai or Manley Reference. You can still get that sound with cheaper microphones but with the right compression, autotune and eq'ing. I hope this helps.

Awesome. I have to test it out!
Dis man’s a goat fr , helped me a lot 🤞🏾

Love the SE X1A! Got 2 of them
Yes, I was really surprised by this microphone when I purchased it. I pushed it hard too, lol. It's a great option. Thanks for dropping by.
Not typically a fan of Blue, but the Ember was the clearest of all you tested
Coz it's best of all of rhem
So the AkG 120 is great for recording Hiphop/R&B vocals

Love my aston
That's awesome.
Very Good upload.
Thank you!
Hey man love your work just curious if u had to pick between the p120 and the Aston element what will it be?
What's up Otis? I prefer the P120 because of the switches but the element sounds so good coming out of the box. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the awesome comparison video. I had one (un)related query with regards to the AKG P120. Can I use this mic for streaming games? TIA.
You are welcome. You sure can.
@@archiebeatz Thanks for the reply!

hey bro que tal es el Rode NT1 a ???
Hey man! Could you check lil Xxel real quick? I’m tryna get a sound like that and then tell me what mic you’d recommend

@@archiebeatzhe uses a tlm 102. What budget mic do you recommend for this type of music
I believe Aston was sold to Behringer in the Philippines, so probably good bye UK technology. Grab an Aston while you can.
the element is not a condenser it's a coil dynamic style mic with a amp inside . i feel like this mic is targeted for rap vocals lol
For me se x1a is the winner
SE V7?
se electronics all day
I was searching for se x1a and the results were sex toys
