Great partnership. SO who actually got the smoke - Ughhg!
Very well done Mr & Mrs B. I know of someone in a flat land who will enjoy this one!

That was me in the smoke :) I was watching the drone rather than the train and didn't duck under the parapet of the bridge in time.. Mrs.B was safely on the station platform half a mile away.

@@AmaNotaGogo She's pleased with her work, but miffed because she didn't get the footage on her 'phone as well. Forgot to record because she was using the Pocket 2 at the same time. I got the blame, of course-even though I was half a mile away :)

Gonna be a few years until we see this again.🙁

We don't get them passing through very often, to be sure. Seems to have been about once a year, from what we've seen.

@ was actually referring to Leander as she's now been withdrawn from the mainline for the foreseeable future.

I hadn't heard. That explains why a pal in Benfleet, who filmed it in August, saw the train pulled by a diesel locomotive on a subsequent occasion. ruclips.net/video/nZ1G1oQNFB0/видео.html @@MasterMoyle

@ she was actually covering for 6233 Duchess of Sutherland which is undergoing work in Butterfly and there wasn't a spare engine available at Southall which was on WCR's books so 45690 had to be sent down to cover for 6233.
As for 45690 the reason for her withdrawal from the mainline is because her mainline certificate expired on 1st October and her 10 year boiler certificate expires next month (November). She won't be seen on the mainline again until her next overhaul is completed and she's run in ready. So it could be a few years till we see her out on the mainline again.

I'm not so much of a steam buff that I follow all these details so closely :)@@MasterMoyle
