My idea is that Sundowner gets a health reset when all of his shields break. That way, you feel incentivized to trigger his 2nd phase as early as possible. If you decide to chip away at his health without breaking his shields all the way down, he'll lose the shields and you have to fight his phase 2 at full hp. In this scenario, you'll fight him at a total of 200% hp With these changes, it'll reward players that have learned to cut precisely with blade mode and punish players that haven't.
Unrelated but to maybe fit with the song better instead of a storm it should have been a sun rise or set so the sky is like a dark orange or red, just a thought.
@RobertEdwinHouse9 There are two ways you can break the shields. First option is waiting for Sundowner to charge at you, successfully complete the quick time event, and then slice at the exposed supports for the shields. The second option is slicing at the red glowing area when he puts up the shields. This way is trickier.
@@beesechurger2540 well the second option is the one I just cant do For the Armstrong boss when he throws the execlsius parts at you I have to use the infinite fuel wig

The mod should've made it although this's impossible that everytime you break his shields he fully heals after you do 50% Damage his full theme plays regardless of what percent he's at and if you do 200% Damage to him in Phase One he will activate Phase 1.5 making himself much more difficult and new moveset and you can counter him through the shields when he attacks. Transition to Phase 2 is more difficult faster and with a new moveset added in to make him more aggressive he gets 200% Health. Phase 2.5 happens and he has 500% Health Fully Lore Accurate with MGS2 Moves Added in with some new original moves that mix well with MGS2 ones. Phase 3 has at the Last Blade Mode Part he will have his shields up and you will hit him 100 times and then activate Super Blade Mode and cut through his shield and dice him up into sashimi. 💥😎💥

It almost makes you wonder why he became so easy for the players who got used to the game. Probably because they figured that they would die to Sundowner’s shields too easily.
Wow. Can’t Sundowner brute force through those debris that Monsoon launches? Or create a force as strong as those EMPs with his shields? He is also pretty smart and strategic. I think I’d agree with him soloing Monsoon.
@@jasonlobo2350 If you continue to counter his attacks in succession, you'll eventually hit him. Same applies to those sword-wielding custom cyborgs, by the way.
No, most likely. A Perfect Parry dealt only 5-10% of his health, which is barely anything for a Perfect Parry, considering it can shred through bosses like nothing. Probably a glitch.

There needs to be a mod where Sundowner blocks every attack with his shields so you HAVE to cut them off.
