ThePenguinZor yeah u can block the lorentz or run away, surprisingly u can block a lot of stuff like missle and bullets (not all), the dwarf gekkos mistral throws at you, bombs

Ah the memories. Last year 2021 this fight took me 2 hours to beat on Revengence without getting hit. One of my proudest Platinum trophys - the best part is that you feel so awesome improving your skill playing this game.
70, 55, 45, 40, 25, 15, 10 if I didn't forget about something 70 is when he introduces the helicopter/apc throw, 55 and 45 he increases the amount of vehicles he throws 40 is when he yeets the whole wheel made of vehicles 25 and 15 are even more helis and apcs (totaling with ten vehicles) 10 is one more wheel and finish
It's actually noob to play with sai cuz u can stun Monsoon with the only one hit. I could call him a beast if he was parried his attacks only by the sword.
Sai has an effect that can be seen by changing the color of the effects from blue lightning bolts to purple. When they are purple, the next time you hit your opponent will cause a stun. You probably knew about this, but you didn't know about Monsoon specifically. :P
@@hoodcate one strat I found was to stun him with the sai and when he turns to pieces switch to the pincer blades and charge it around his head. Then release the charge after he reassembles. With the blades fully upgraded it can knock his health by 40 percent after 2 or 3 times depending on when you release the charge.
Ya i achieved S with damage and without damage. Both cases i got 30 hit combo and collected items from the vehicles thrown at me. It turns out that in the smokescreen i could damage him by dodge slashing getting a free hit at the same time not taking damage. He actually gets stunned/wobbly if you get enough hits and you can lay more punishment into him with combos despite the smokescreen though you may not be able to find him in the thick smoke all the time.

No damage monsoon is a pain in the ass. Also, to get the no-hit Armstrong achievement, do you have to no-hit him in all his 3 phases or only in the last one?
its ironically easier than monsoon, for the unarmed phase all you need to do is play cat and mouse with armstrong until the cutscene plays automatically. after that its a checkpoint so you dont have to worry about doing the entire fight over again. monsoon is such a pain in the ass because you have to beat him in one go with 0 mistakes and with his gay as fuck attack patterns its so annoying
I finally beat Monsoon without damage, it was very difficult, I used Pincer Blade (Bloodlust) instead of Sai (Dystopia), I had no idea that Monsoon's sai could stun him. This "Genius Destroyer" achievement was one of the hardest to get. But without a doubt the most difficult achievement in the game is "Stormbringer", maybe I'll try to get that achievement someday.

Hey for anyone who wants to know, after you master parry, you can disable the "Foreward+Foreward+Light-attack", and the game becomes far faster with most combos connecting into each other as in a dance! TIME TO LERN HOW TO DODGE!
Who would disable their best air combo starter? Besides, if you don't just spam the party input you can still do faster combos because your light attacks will chase after the enemy even without pushing the joystick
after the first block you have to move the analog to default position. so its a flick plus square each time. not just holding the left stick and mashing asquare.

A maioria das pessoas (inclusive eu) passou do jogo até essa parte colocando o analógico para frente e atacando. Eu morri varias vezes até finalmente sacar que tinha e como funcionava o parry. Depois que vc aprende a usar nesse boss o jogo inteiro fica fácil.
No matter what difficulty I play, both him and Samuel stagger me when I block the first attack of their combos, preventing me from blocking the other attacks so I have changed my strategy to dodging straight back. I avoid getting hit while the get his by my dodge, and at times it interrupts their combo

Obviously not every single piece you still need the knees and legs and arms and elbows intact to be able to move things but other than that, I think it'd be fucking awesome

I know you can buy his actual suit from MGS4 as well but I don't know why they didn't just say "okay he's using his MGS4 suit and white blood" then he gets his arm chopped off and eye cut (which I don't understand why that's so terrible, when he breaks and cuts his arm off in MGS4 then still comes back to defend Snake from the FROGS with no arms, but I digress) then they say "your suits outdated we're giving you new tech" and BAM! MGR suit.

Monsoon is one of my most minor favorite bosses in the entire game. I've found that I'll skip it in an attempt to get through the entire game without taking damage on every difficulty level, and come back to it later when I feel up to it. Even Sundowner and Sam are easier than him. (My personal opinion!)
I thought I was good at the game. But then I found out you can stop Armstrong from healing by attacking his back, you can block the wheel, and you can block Monsoon's death wheel.
My guess is back in 2014, the technology wasn't as advanced. Or Raiden in 2018 after getting his second body needed the whole augmented visor to make up for the loss of his eye.
I got the achievement unfairly because I was messing around with fighting monsoon for a bit, then tried to continue the normal game but it took me to the QTE checkpoint at the end of the fight. I finished off monsoon but the game thought I started and ended the fight in 29 seconds no hit… whoops
Bruh it took me way too many attempts to no-hit him cause I kept forgetting that his r.p. grenades dealt like 2% dmg and i just kept failing to dodge every time.
I’m on console, so usually I just press RB to change the enemies from “TGT” to “LKD”, you could probably search online for the button that does the same thing
Hey, i've been trying to beat this boss with no damage but he doesn't do any of the combos he does to you, at the start he comes up to me and uses his Sais i can block the first strike but the second is like unblockable and he doesn't even let me dodge, any idea?
I have a theory that this wasn't on revengence my evidence being that if you don't get hit while fighting monsoon on revengence he begs saying quote : stop!! Stop it!!: end quote and since he didn't say it at the end of this video I don't believe it was done on revengence
Unrelated, but I find it weird in the German sub how he refers to Raiden as “Sie”. You can say “You” in German as either “Du” or “Sie” You usually say “Sie” when you want to be polite to strangers or inside work environments. “Du” is is the non-polite version and usually used with people you are familiar with. I find it weird he says “Sie” because of how they are literally fighting to death, where I think politeness wouldn’t matter.

Games intended for older audiences (like MGR here) usually refer to the player as “Sie”, while games intended for younger audiences refer to the player as “Du”, similar to how in school/work environments children can be referred as “Du” while to adults or older teenagers they are legally obligated to refer to them as “Sie”

70, 50, 40, 31?, 20, and then the final desperation at 10
10% is execute, 40% is 100% guaranteed lorentz force

All Phases. Including the 2nd phase where you're unarmed and can't really do anything against him.

Bruh it took me way too many attempts to no-hit him cause I kept forgetting that his r.p. grenades dealt like 2% dmg and i just kept failing to dodge every time.
fox blade is as effective as sam's against bosses but against enemies it's almost always one hit kill if you upgrade the special ability

I’m on console, so usually I just press RB to change the enemies from “TGT” to “LKD”, you could probably search online for the button that does the same thing

Hey, i've been trying to beat this boss with no damage but he doesn't do any of the combos he does to you, at the start he comes up to me and uses his Sais i can block the first strike but the second is like unblockable and he doesn't even let me dodge, any idea?

I have a theory that this wasn't on revengence my evidence being that if you don't get hit while fighting monsoon on revengence he begs saying quote : stop!! Stop it!!: end quote and since he didn't say it at the end of this video I don't believe it was done on revengence

Unrelated, but I find it weird in the German sub how he refers to Raiden as “Sie”.
You can say “You” in German as either “Du” or “Sie”
You usually say “Sie” when you want to be polite to strangers or inside work environments.
“Du” is is the non-polite version and usually used with people you are familiar with.
I find it weird he says “Sie” because of how they are literally fighting to death, where I think politeness wouldn’t matter.
this bugs me in alot of german translations, espescially when the game is calling you the player as "Sie" in tutorials or loading screen hints
@@Axtmoerder I think that’s most likely because of the age rating and target group of the game. Games intended for older audiences (like MGR here) usually refer to the player as “Sie”, while games intended for younger audiences refer to the player as “Du”, similar to how in school/work environments children can be referred as “Du” while to adults or older teenagers they are legally obligated to refer to them as “Sie”
