If you want to know the story, then please watch The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's a legendary western and, not for nothing, is often nominated as the GOAT!
Agreed but i would start with a fist full of dollars , the good the bad and the ugly is the final part of a trilogy. ( a few dollars more not as good imo being second)
Yeah, it's a movie that takes you on a long journey.
Ahhhh that’s good to know. Thanks!!
'Once Upon A Time In The West' is another Sergio Leone western classic in the same vein.
@@BradAndLex I know you don't do movie reactions, but it would be a good one to start on!
I guess Brad and Lex aren't old enough to recognize how iconic this is even if you've never seen the movie.
Or know what a Mexican standoff is
Wrong, they have no real excuse not to know. The Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western films are timeless. They do not age, and they will forever be relevant to the western genre. I'm sure most people, like me, came to know the Good The Bad and The Ugly by watching it on television, not at the box office.
@@BossDM-2 Me too. I wasn't born when it was released but not everyone is into westerns -- movies, tv, or wherever they appear. It may seem odd to us but there are plenty of people that don't know this stuff at all. Hopefully they can discover and enjoy some of it just like they're exploring music they haven't heard before.
They don't recognize this iconic peice of music and I'm sure if you play "mystery of chessboxing " by wu-tang clan. They wouldn't recognize that either.
any metallica fan know the last one
This is probably THE MOST iconic instrumental movie theme song ever! Everyone takes notice when those 1 notes are strummed! The start of the spaghetti westerns that made Clint Eastwood famous! 💖
This was actually the last movie in the "Man With No Name" trilogy with Clint Eastwood teaming up with filmmaker Sergio Leone. It also had the biggest budget of the 3 movies by far. Leone wanted to continue making these movies with Eastwood, but Clint wanted to move on, although he had previously acted in the western TV series "Rawhide" and was to act in more westerns after that.
Sorry but it's the of the 3rd Spagettie westerns with Clint, Eli Wallach,& Lee Van Cleefe, set in the background of the Civil War of the USA.
It's actually the LAST of the spaghetti westerns Eastwood starred in. The climactic finale to Sergia Leone's "The Man With No Name" trilogy, preceded by "A Fistful of Dollars" and "For A Few Dollars More". Leone was also famous for making "Once Upon A Time In The West" with Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda and "Once Upon A time In America" with Robert DeNiro.
This is a one take live performance, no 32 channel mixing based on countless optimized takes. 1 take! Simply perfection from a group of extremely skilled people! I am shaken and moved! "6 quality of life" minutes right there!
Yes this is a one take live performance but I know for sure that this was recorded on multiple tracks so it could be properly mixed to create a balanced sound.
I have seen this reaction dozens of times & never knew this. So note-worthy!
@@ChrisEchoes Of course it is a balanced sound recording following the film and the instruments. It is also a brilliant Production!
That is why they are the Danish national Symphony the best in the world . Real Musicians all playing together .
@@ChrisEchoeswrong ,they are that good .
Seriously...this music is SO captivating on it's own...but when you watch the movie, at it's most climactic moment, it's breathtaking and extremely emotional. You're missing 99% of the value behind this symphony's tribute to Ennio Morricone (Which is fantastic by the way). Give yourself 3+ hours and watch the movie.
Make The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly your first movie reaction.
@Chief10 Beers Right on!
I totally agree! 👍
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is unquestionably my favorite western movie of all time. The music enhances it’s dramatic impact enormously. A classic in every way.
Agree! It’s a must watch movie
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, better than almost any film you can name today! Rules all genres! Watch the film!
Clint Eastwood GOAT
I wouldn't go that far. It was a great spaghetti western and quite special for its time but to say better than almost any film today is stretching it. 🙂
@@RobertLindabury movies today are shit... but 20th century movies had zillioof gems.
love it but surely Once Upon A Time is better
At 64 and a great lover of Cinema, I want to say the fully restored cut of this movie should be considered one of the top 20 greatest films ever made. It was a masterpiece who's greatness was only stymied by the fact that it wasn't made in Hollywood.
This how you write music for a movie, Ennio Morricone absolutely nailed it! Perfection.
And to my knowledge he actually saw the films, but only wrote the music after Sergio Leones asking!!
One man conceived these sounds in his head. He ascribed them to the chart. They are the most iconic notes in the history of cinema. When first heard you are instantly transported to the film’s ethos. This score will live forever as one of the greatest ever. Ennio Morricone was his name. He was a soundtrack producing machine with one iconic soundtrack after another.
And to my knowledge he never saw the films, but made the music to the Instructors asking!
RIP Ennio Morricone. He composed so many great scores, but this is just another level. Good, The Bad, & the Ugly is such a great movie too. But this score transcends film. It's its own vibe.
Only thing is the song is not the good the bad and the ugly. Ectassy of gold.
@@bryansmith5980 They open with the Good the Bad, and the Ugly, then it goes into Ecstasy Of Gold at 3:30. I wish they had done The Trio too.
The entire soundtrack/score is great - one track was used more recently by Quentin Tarantino in Kill Bill Volume 2 to introduce Bill at the beginning.
@@bryansmith5980 well if we're gonna get Technical you spelt Ecstasy wrong 😆😆😆
The movie stars Clint Eastwood.
Ennio Morricone was a genius.

It's almost like it was *orchestrated.* 😉
LOL mate, best answer on this vid ever....

BRAVO !
Yeah, was thinking “so are the gears in car engines, too” 🤣
It's important to point that this master piece was composed entirely by the italian Maestro Ennio Morricone, even though Danish Orchestra does an incredible and flawless job. Ennio was a genius, everyone should get to know better his works. My favorite music artist. Thanks !!
Just an ever lovin' legend.
Top American Conductor, Sarah Hicks only tours when wanting, and this was luckily one of those times!! 😄
THE GOOD,THE BAD AND THE UGLY:ONE OF THE GREATEST WESTERNS EVER..SEGIO LEONE WAS SUCH A GREAT DIRECTOR AND CLINT EASTWOOD..WHAT AN ICON
You are the son of a thousand fathers…every one a Baaaasssstttaaaard!!!!!
@@TheDiamond2009 ....just like you.....
The Danish Symphonic Orchestra really done a fantastic job on Ennio Morricone score for The Good The Bad & The Ugly a Spaghetti Western trilogy which made Clint Eastwood an International movie superstar, probably the best Western ever made
Yes, the main singer is Christine Nonbo Anderson, by herself up in the balcony, singing the HIGH Notes. When she started singing, I got goosebumps, as it was like an angel singing. This was her first concert that she had sung in, and after that, she has sung the high parts in many movie scores and in many concerts. In the world of opera, she is now world famous.
Can we also mention "The Ecstasy of Gold", which is a masterpiece in itself! Plus.... anyone that has ever attended a METALLICA concert, knows the significance of that Song! Literal chills!
I know! I wasn’t expecting that and I got chills. I’m like oh man Metallica!
OH its so haunting but so beautiful at the same time!
Of course it has ‘western’ sounds…. It’s the main soundtrack for the most famous Spaghetti Western…. The Good the Bad and the Ugly. Music is composed by Ennio Morricone…what a musical genius.
I had to roll my eyes at that one myself..it astounds me sometimes what people do not know.
@@TimothySmiths I always thought Lee Van Cleef was cooler than Clint
@@TimothySmiths Some things lose their saturation as time goes on. I can remember people my parent's age, and my grandparents age would be astounded by how little I knew of certain cultural mainstays simply because I was born after they stopped being so prevalent in TV, movies, etc. Now at my age I'm finding myself on the other side of that phenomenon and am often surprised how many things people just 15 years younger than me are completely unaware of that were omnipresent when I was a kid. I just try to remind myself that I 100% understand their lack of awareness of my cultural familiars because I was in their shoes about my parent's and my grandparent's cultural familiars at the same age.
Just a reality of life, a reality of getting old.
Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone together are legendary...
There's others good ones like George Lucas/John Williams or Christopher Nolan/Hans Zimmer, but for me they didn't reach harmony of Leone/Morricone duo.
@@davepeesthepool I must be different..because i am aware of things my parents and grandparents were immersed in culturally with entertainment ..movies music , old radio programs and etc. This is also knowledge i learned without the benefit of being able to type away and finding the info in seconds as we all have the ability to do these days.I have my own opinions on some of the reasons why a lot are clueless these days..but one main one is the over saturation in a way of things available..being able to pick and choose over taking what is given and maybe opening up your horizons and learning new things.
This is two seperate pieces mashed together: the Main Title theme, and The Ecstasy of Gold, which is from the climax. So it's kind of like a bookends of the movie.
The movie's climax takes place in a cemetery where a stash of gold is hidden in a grave - hence The Ecstasy of Gold - and the three main characters (the Good, the Bad and the Ugly) are all after it. So it's the soundtrack of a man running through a cemetery trying to find the right grave before the others do.
"The Ecstasy of Gold" always gives me chills! It is absolutely sublime.
That's just the greatest friggin thing of all time after Hunter X Hunter
"The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly" is the last in a trilogy of movies directed by Sergio Leone and staring Clint Eastwood. The first movie, "A Fist Full Of Dollars" was a remake of Akira Kurosawa's, "Yojimbo". In this time frame westerns popularity had waned. But, there was a resurgence of the genre in Europe, specifically Italy. Dubbed, "Spaghetti Westerns", were mostly looked down upon in the U.S. This trilogy is arguably the best of them. Leone was a real visionary and had a real romanticized view of the American frontier. Eastwood wasn't interested, until he read the script, and as he was a fan of Kurasawa's work agreed to be, "The Man With No Name". And finally the amazing score by Ennio Moricone. This scene in the movie is beautiful. Not something you would see in an American movie, especially then. The movie is silent except for the score, and it's just a guy running through a graveyard...it's operatic...
The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly has dialogue…
@@WorldwideWyatt meh... I meant the graveyard scene was without dialogue, not the whole movie... My bad...
Perhaps the greatest Western movie ever. PLEASE watch it. I'm sure I can't be the only one who'd love to see you react to that film.
This is one of the most recognizable movie themes of all time To arguably the biggest western of all time it’s actually a mash up of the good the bad and the ugly theme and another song of his called the ecstasy of gold. Check out more by Enrico Marrone. I absolutely love your videos but sometimes I swear to God it’s like you’re from space and you just landed on this planet
I gotta go with 'The Outlaw Josey Wales' as best Western of all time . Just my opinion . 💁
LOL from space. yea Lex is adorably innocent at times :) . I like their chemistry together, I'd love to see them do the movie review now.
🤣🤣yeah
That's part of the fun of watching them listen to stuff. As an older person, I often either shake my head or laugh out loud at some of the things they say about the music they are listening to that they don't know anything about. You cannot expect younger folks to have all the same knowledge of musical things us older folks know, but it's great to see them giving it it chance and thinking about it.
@@cpprcrk1833 Two Mules for Sister Sarah was just as good.
3:33 this part is one of the most beautiful things ever written, its all about the bit at the end where the choir come in with the descending notes in polyrhythm, and thene the Horns playing on their counter beat, fucking genius
Nobody cares about the technical terms. It just sounds good.
The actual title of the song is “The Ecstacy of Gold”. It was the title song for the movie “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.” The good the bad and the ugly were the 3 main characters that were semi working to find some stolen gold. The wah-wah girl is an excellent opera singer in her own right. Gotta watch the movie starring Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef and Eli Wallach. The Italians loved westerns and when they started making their own they were called Spaghetti Westerns. Sergio Leone was a premier director and Ennio Morricone was the songwriter. The music was always top notch movie specific, none of that cheating out trying to wedge a popular song into the movie. This was one of a Trilogy that Eastwood did called The Man With No Name trilogy. The other two were A Fistful of Dollars and For A Few Dollars More.
For a humorous Spaghetti Western watch the Trinity trilogy
It's interesting that Brad mentioned a dude hanging from the ceiling because, anyone who has seen this movie knows that Blondie and Tucco made their living by Blondie turning Tucco in to the law in different towns to collect the reward money Tucco and being punished with Death by Hanging. Then when the moment came for the rope to tighten around Tuccos neck, Blondie was off in the distance to shoot the rope so Tucco could escape.
I think they did a few different western music in that performance; it might also be a reference to Hang 'Em High.
Uh, spoiler.

In the video there's a profile of a man behind the orchestra, that's Clint Eastwood character from the movie The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This music is the mainscore from that movie.
Danish National Symphony Orchestra is a world class orchestra and does a lot of movie music, really cool.
There is also a prop of someone who was hung.
No, that hanging man was a member of the orchestra. He was out of tune, during rehearsal.
Also, the waa waa girl had revolver earrings.
Maybe it's worth mentioning that the good the bad and the ugly is part of a trilogi, the other movies being A Fistful of Dollars(1964) and For a Few Dollars More(1965). The Good, The Bad and The Ugly 1966
@@akyhne The first, the Mezzosoprano singer is Tuva Semmingsen but in her ID her artist name maybe "The Waa waa girl". And the earrings, yeah, her total devotion to art.
@@matthiasbohm2593 I know her name, but people on RUclips call her the waa waa girl.
Wait.. You Guys have never heard of "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly"? The original bad-a** spaghetti Western? One of Clint Eastwood's earliest epic's?
Hold on to your cowboy hats! There's a reason this music was famous~
It's spelled 'badass', you're welcome ; )
The original badass spaghetti western would be A Fistfull of Dollars.
@@JasonCone Followed by A Few Dollars More and the 3rd one was The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
Ennio Morricone was a genius. His music was like a character in the movie and it made the movie epic and unforgettable.
The music of Ennio Morricone can really take you on an emotional ride. True genius. R.I.P. maestro Ennio!
One of the all-time movie themes … Right up there with the James Bond Movie Theme …
True, I'd also add the Where Eagles Dare (1968) and Zulu (1964) themes and someone else also mentioned Basil Poledouris... another legend.
When my cousin was with Dream Theater the great Ennio Morricone came to one of their shows in Italy. As kids we watched those westerns 100 times. My cousin broke into this song on his keyboard in tribute. RIP Maestro
One of the greatest masterpieces of music!
"When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk." 😄
To truly appreciate this you need to listen to the original from the movie of the same name, a classic spaghetti western staring Clint Eastwood
Followed closely by my favorite spaghetti western - Once Upon A Time In The West.
This is actually pretty damn close to the original
This song would be hella weird if you hadn't seen the movie ya lol. Amazing movie one of the best ever made. The composer was a genius for sure.
You need to watch The Good The Bad and the Ugly.
@@willmanprw1 I think they've watched it ;)
The Good (Clint Eastwood), The Bad (Le Van Cleef) and the Ugly (Eli Wallach) is the classic revenge driven spaghetti Western with a tense, inspired three way shootout duel at the end... very worth the watch!
I think to remember that Clint knows, that Eli haven't got any bullets in his, given gun, so he only has to look for Le to react!
Notice that this same circle was used for a duel in "For A few Dollars More" but Clint and Lee were on the same side as "business partners".
"You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig."
Notice that Tuco is given a punishment worse than death in the end. He gets all the gold he could ever dream of but he had no way to take it with him.
Now you NEED to see the movie. Do a livestream. edit: this might sound stupid in 2022 but make sure you watch the widescreen version. Or you lose a lot of the feel.
MetallicA been opening their shows with the second part of this killer symphony (the extasy of gold) for 40 years! yeah!! 😎🤘
🤘🤘
I have to echo many of the previous comments about the epic, iconic nature of these two pieces from The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly. Allow me to add that Ennio Morricone uses human voices extensively in many of his scores - whistling, chants, drones, etc.
I had the opportunity to watch The Maestro at work on a film once. He whistled ideas for music themes into a tape recorder as he watched a cut of the film, then went off and worked his magic at home to come up with a complete score. He had one of the longest, most amazing careers in music ever.
A classic of the soundracks from one of the GOATs, Ennio Morricone, superbly executed.
Quentin Tarantino has called The Good, the Bad and the Ugly the best directed film of all time. The soundtrack is by Ennio Morricone and Tarantino used some of it in Kill Bill 2
He has, and in some later interviews, he has called it the greatest film of all time.
ENNIO MORRICONE:ONE OF THE GREATEST COMPOSERS EVER...ANY GENRE
The song you reacted to in this clip was part of a concert performed by the DNS entitled "The Duel - Morricone Draws First". It featured several other compositions by Ennio Morricone (The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, For a fist of Dollars amd A few dollars more to name a few) as well as Bernard Herrmann, Nino Rota and Sonny Bono. All the songs were writtan for particular movies. The "hanged man" was a reference the Clint Eastwood movie "Hang "em High". The concert took place in 2018 and was conducted Sarah Hicks. The vocals were performed by Tuva Semmingsen (The "Wah wah" lady) & Christine Nonbo Andersen (The blond lady in the balcony). I heard this song while watching the movie in about 1968 when I saw the "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" at a theater for the first time. 54 years is a long time for memories of a movie to stay fresh.
Pretty sure that "the hanged man" is a reference to "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" as "the hanging scam" carried out by "Blondie" and "Tuco" was a big part of the story. "The Ecstasy of Gold" theme deals with the climactic final scenes of the movie when "Tuco" is driven almost mad in his pursuit of the buried loot.
The hanged man is in reference to the plot of "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly", in which Blondie and Tuco ran a scam operation. Blondie turned in Tuco to the local sheriff of a town, collected the reward, waited for the day of Tuco's hanging and then helped Tuco to escape the execution. "Hang 'em High" is NOT a "spaghetti western and has nothing to do with the "Man With No Name" trilogy, "A Fist Full of Dollars", "For a Few Dollars More" and "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly", filmed in that order.
Love THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY. The final shootout scene is now a tourist atraction. All those Clint Eastwood westerns so great.
Greatest soundtrack for a movie ever.
It's the story of Tuco, Blondie and Angel Eyes !
Yeah, with Blondie and Tuco having some kind of rope bondage thing going on ... that's why there's a puppet hanging from the ceiling.
A timeless masterpiece. ZERO errors. Flawless. Brad ALMOST couldn’t pause…
Thank you for helping me get through lockdown!!! I love, love, love you guys. One of my Bro's favorites!!!
Some of the best soundtrack music ever created, by the legendary Ennio Morricone.
The as you say "Wa Wa" Lady, Tuva Semmingsen, is an astronomical vocalist, try some more of her both with the Danish National Symphony and with other symphonies etc.
No matter what's your favorite genre of music, there's nothing more beautiful and hypnotic to see than an orchestra.
Goosebumps. This the ecstasy of gold
Sometimes the music is above your pay grade... being so young you have very little knowledge of the past so cannot appreciate stuff like this... no fault of your own but it is what it is...The film is legendary!!!!!!!! A SPAGHETTI WESTERN OF NOTE. The movie soundtrack is world famous....
If you haven't seen the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, you have to watch it! Its a masterpiece!
the hanging man is Tuco, this is a legendary performance of the greatest western ever
I envy Brad & Lex for getting to see this for the first time together. It's an extraordinary example of one of the many ways music can be made by talented people!
You got to catch all of Clint Eastwood’s spaghetti westerns from the 60s. Can’t be well rounded people missing them.
Two more of these by the same orchestra to fill out the Trilogy: A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More. All three amazingly done 👍.
Yes, it's tragic that reactors usually stop with this one when the other two are so spectacular, and, frankly, their performance from "Once Upon a Time in the West" is also great.
The orchestra singers are doing what all the soul and rock singers did up until 1980. That is using their voices as instruments, singing in tune with the instruments. Perfect harmony.
Leave it to Lex to immediately notice the soprano in the upper balcony. She's not even mic'd up, and she just cuts through all of it. Epic piece, perfectly delivered.
And as everyone else already said (a year ago LOL), the movie is what makes sense of the entire piece. Watch it. Please. LOL
The soprano does have a tiny microphone attached to her head.
By the way; Lex went for the two first notes, jokingly, and sounded like a decent mezzo soprano.
Woaaah...are we opening a whole new area of possible requests? Is this the start of yall listening to orchestral music? Classical music? Instrumental? Jazz too? Im so excited if so
People have pointed this out, including Brad, Lex has a good singing voice. Maybe untrained - I don’t know, but it’s there. Anyway, nice reaction y’all.
Simply perfection! I love this and have ever since seeing the movie as a kid. Love your reaction but now you MUST see the movie to get the full appreciation of this classic.
I friggin love this song! Ever since I first watched The Good The Bad and The Ugly when it released back in the 70s. I (well my older brother) owned the sound track and played it to death.
Its for the movie. Very western cowboy vibes. Also Metallica live shows opened with this.
I cannot believe you guys have never seen a gr8 American classic such as "The good, the bad,and the ugly"
American?
It ain't American.
Even if you haven't seen the movie I've heard it all over TV. Even current Modelo beer commercials use it.
This is the theme for the movie The Good The Bad and The Ugly. A spaghetti western by Sergio Leone starting Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallace and Lee Van Cleef. It is one of the top 5 westerns ever made. You owe it to yourself to see the movie. The picture of the man in the poncho and the body hanging are references to the movie.
This was such a stunning rendition of these pieces... I always loved Ecstasy of Gold. I love the S&M version the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra did at the start of their concert with Metallica.
An epic cover of an epic piece of music written by an epic composer for an epic movie! Epic!
@3:40 is where METALLICA starts this song as their intro song. They don’t play it themselves but play it over the speakers and everyone knows it’s about to go down…
Metallica actually have done a cover of it themselves as well. ruclips.net/video/a41bERTFBUI/видео.html
Thats actually the start of another song called The Exctacy of Gold or originally L'estasi dell'oro.
The “wha wha” are done by Tuva SIGEMENSEN, an international-class mezzo-soprano. She doesn't just do wha wha but since this concert she has been nicknamed "LADY WHA WHA" and she is proud of it, it amuses her a lot.
Go watch other videos of this orchestra, there are some funny ones. These musicians of very high quality do not take themselves seriously, they play with passion and having fun.
always enjoy watching your reaction vids, good vibes from you both.
It's a travesty that after decades in film & dozens of soundtracks, *Ennio Morricone only received an HONORARY Oscar(Clint Eastwood presented it to him).* This is a great movie & soundtrack!
Well the intelligencia class of hollywood really looked down their noses at spaghetti western. So not that surprising.

One of the most iconic movie theme songs in film history, synonymous with Clint Eastwood, the lead actor in the film.

I was soooo waiting for this one.
From the Clint Eastwood western movie of the same name.
Ennio Morricone is one of the greatest musical composers of the 20th century- end of, and the best soundtrack composer of all time.
Playing in a Grand Orchestra is one of the most amazing feelings you can get. I did it myself for 6 years and we had not near the level of perfection, they have!
Great reaction to one of the best, most iconic Movie Themes of all time!
The final scene, the cementery was rebuilt by common people, most of them from the Spanish village near that ground. When they finished, with the help even from people comming from France and other parts of Spain, the entire village watched the film there, as tribute. But before, there was a recording of many famous including Clint Eastwood saying "thank you very much" for keep the memory of the film and the grat experience for the ordinary people of that village participating in the film, their fathers and even granfathers. Tourists can visit. The village of Contreras, Burgos (Spain) - Cementerio de Sad Hill.
Note: The fictional setting of that cemetery, however, was in the U.S., specifically in Texas. The American Civil War battle ear the end of the movie was supposed to take place in Texas. Sergio Leone, erroneously, did not know that Texas was not known for big battles during the American Civil War but Leone preferred Texas to fit in with the American/Mexican desert towns settings of his other "Man With No Name" films. Eastwood later acted in "The Outlaw Josey Wales", also a story set in the American Civil War and also set largely in Texas. While these movies were filmed in Spain, the intended imagery and storylines were about the American/Mexican desert frontier region.
Ecstasy of Gold (the second half of this video) is one of my all time favorite tunes. The Danish Symphony are superb but nobody sings it like Susanna Rigacci. Also, Metallica do a great cover.
Metallica did a cover?
I know it's always been their intro song, but they don't really play any of it themselves ...or do they?!

Posted 4 minutes ago, comment 2 minutes ago, "Great reaction guys!" the reaction however is over 9 minutes long.. seems legit buddy!
A lot of their reactions are recorded during their live streams. there is a good chance they watched it then.
Hey what's up guys! Greetings from South Florida! That was so good! I love theatrical scores, and movie soundtracks. The Sound of Music, the King & I, South Pacific, Song of the South, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and so many other great soundtracks. My mom love this stuff, and it's what I listened to as a kid. You guys rock! God bless you! Peace!
Hanging man quiz. Are he hanging because:
A/ It were a symphony orchestra member that played out of tune?
B/ It were an audience member that the night before left his mobile open and it rang in middle of the soprano solo?
C/ It are related to the movie from where the sound are from?
B) would be a cheeky thing for the host/presenter to tell the audience before the concert.
Aside: Way back when, around the turn of the 21st century, cell phones chiming during concerts or movies were still a new thing. I think it was more thoroughly despised then. I read about an early special screening of a new movie in a beloved franchise. A presenter made an introductory speech, mentioning what would happen if a cell phone went off during the screening: The projector would stop, a spotlight would illuminate the offender, and the ushers would escort them out before the screening would resume!
I don't think they would ring a bell, and shout "SHAME", Game of Thrones style, but they might as well have...
Good grief. I didn’t know there was anyone alive who didn’t know this was the theme of a western.
Loved the movie too!...great reaction guys!
What reaction? There was none from them! They we’re just confused by it! It went right over their heads…as does most of the music they react to!
@@27Finbarr why would they (anyone) even react to this without knowing the context of the song/music?
Why couldn't they pause and at least Google the song? They look and sound so foolish. What a waste of time!
Now this is music! Created by a composer, not a computer. It amazes me that you never ever heard about this piece of iconic music. Don't you ever listen to a movie soundtrack? The soundtrack is a very important part of the movie. It scares the shit out of you, it's comforting, soothing, exciting. It brings out emotions.
I have had the honor and privilege to witness the Maestro Ennio Morricone (RIP) himself in concert twice. He composed this masterpiece and many, many more. Attending such a concert is mindblowing. To my honest opinion, if you have never been to a live orchestra concert, you have never experienced real music.
Brad & Lex, "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" was one of the most famous westerns of all time. It was part of a trilogy of westerns, the other two being "Fistful of Dollars," and "For a Few Dollars More." They were filmed in Spain using an Italian movie company & director, therefore they called them "spaghetti westerns." Clint Eastwood was the main star and became famous portraying "the man with no name" in these "spaghetti westerns." The cowboy dummy hanging from the ceiling was a prop, because someone got hung in almost every one of these westerns.
To fully understand the grandeur of it all, you have to know the work of Ennio Morricone and Sergio Leone. A partnership that changed the Western genre forever. Italian Director American actors Filming in Spain The famous Spaghetti Western It made Clint Eastwood one of the biggest stars of the genre.
The woman singing the "wah-wahs" did it along with the harmonica, as it was done in the original recording.
OMFG...I came across this like 6 months ago and was FLOORED!! I'm a HUGE Clint Eastwood fan and his Movies.... and this is just AWE INSPIRING!! Purely AMAZING and a MUSIC MASTERPIECE!! 💯👍🔥❤️😁
This gives me a lot of memories with my dad watching Clint Eastwood especially the guitar part and then followed by the crescendo. Love it🤙🏼
Before watching "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly" (1966), you must start with the first movie in the trilogy "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964), then "For A Few Dollars More" (1965), and ending with The GBU. "Fistful" is the movie that made Clint Eastwood very famous. The theme music in all three movies is similar in style, but very different and in fact the Danish Symphony does all three. Search for the other two. They are good western movies, worth a watch and a good idea to see them before watching the Back To The Future trilogy. It's interesting how you described westerns and desert feel to this music which is exactly what the Clint Eastwood trilogy is about! @ 5:56 The image on the back wall is from the trilogy, (and so was the hanging guy in the auditorium! LOL!). When watching and listening to the Danish Symphony crank this out I picture scenes in the movie because it and the music are so iconic now. 😎👍
Genius
The voice is an instrument in itself. A trumpet doesn't have words, but you can enjoy the beauty of the sound.
Lex says what! In the movie Tucco, the Ugly, repetedly gets hanged as part of the script, very funny sequence, you'll get it if you watch the film
Just watch the movie and it all will make sense.
Now you need to do a reaction video to the movie so you will 'get it'.
Aah, I love film music!!! So underrated! This piece is so amazing, gives me goosebumps every time. Got to watch the movie though, see Eastwood, Eli Wallach and Lee Van Cleef spinning around in circles till it makes you dizzy...Love your reaction ,as always, I cannot even begin to imagine how this must come across if you never have seen the movie before.
Ennio Morricone included electric guitars, in this music, which was composed for one of the most epic western films ever. He had a profound effect, on the way movies were scored, and wrote many excellent and memorable themes.
There were several films, what was termed, "spaghetti westerns", featuring Clint Eastwood, and a few featured the image of a man being hanged. "Hang 'Em High", and "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly", and later, "Pale Rider".
Check out the theme, from "For A Few Dollars More", also from this same concert.
