Mercedes have been in Formula One since the dawn of the championship in the 1950's.
They had legendary drivers such as Fangio and Stirling Moss racing for them. Fangio winning two back to back titles.
There engines powered Mika Hakkinen's Mclaren to another two back to back wins in 98/99.

Before becoming the Mercedes AMG F1 team that we know today they also powered Jenson Button to his first and only World title in 09 with the Brawn GP team.
Lewis left Mclaren to race for Mercedes F1 team in 2013.
New regulations came into effect in 2014 and the Mercedes turbo hybrid engine dominated the series for many years to come.
Lewis went on to win the World Championship another 6 times (14,15,17,18,19,20) a magnificent record.

This new W15 car needs a lot of improvements, it needs to have efficient floor downforce, good tire management and conservation, better cooling to avoid the shame of the Bahrain GP, less drag and more speed on straights, better stability and speed in corners. high, medium and low, more traction and mechanical grip when entering and exiting curves, lower center of gravity, better stability in curves. More PU power, especially from the ERS and MGU-K, MGH and Turbo. Mercedes should ask for technical advice from Gordon Murray's company, he is a master of ground effects, like Red Bull's Adrian Newey. Ferrari is advised by Rory Byrne, another master of aerodynamics and ground effects. Wolff, Horner is right, do you want help with the W15? Hire Gordon Murray and his advice. He knows and has designed ground effect cars. Mercedes' current engineers are incompetent! Mercedes must focus on the 2026 regulations, which begin on January 1, 2025. The date allowed by the FIA for the current teams on the grid to have authorization to develop the 2026 car, which is what matters, as no one in this current regulation will challenge Red Bull.

Why are the engineers not stepping in and saying, no Lewis, that is not right or we need to go less extreme?? This from the Daily Telegraph who explains it well:
"The decision-making process on Hamilton’s side of the garage has to be questioned. He took responsibility for the decision, but you would expect any radical set-up changes to be made after consultation with a larger group. This includes the key engineers with perhaps even Wolff involved, especially if there is an element of risk to it."

I will never understand why you (not only Merc but also Lewis himself) would turn the car that secured 2nd place in the Sprint - ahead of the likes of Alonso (who got P3 in qualifying afterwards!), the Ferraris, and the McLarens - upside down to mess everything up.

All this experimenting on Lewis's setups is really messing up his races. Every race so far he has had an issue because of a wrong setup choice. It's getting ridiculous. Lewis, his engineers and anyone else who is part of the decision making process needs to take a step back from the constant experimental setups. If Lewis feels comfortable in the car in a particular session, then DON'T CHANGE THE F*CKING CAR!!

Lewis has consistently ruined the cars pace on quali, race or both with changes he has chosen to make for himself. He's admitted it every single time. He's willing to risk all or nothing... And most of the time so far this season, he's ended up with nothing. But he's always happy to accept the blame for it. I'm sure he doesn't care much as it's not costing him race wins or a championship.

When u misread the change in rules. First it was Mike Elliott and now you're downgrading Hamilton's drive and choices? Come on man 👨...

I would also like to mention my distaste for Michelle Foster on PF1. Many times I read comments there and did not feel the need but I connect with some Hamilton fans on our WhatsApp community and it is discussed there how often this woman (term used loosely) singles out Hamilton for her putrid bile of covert hatred and borderline xenophobia and I believe the team should address these regardless of if it were Hamilton or any other driver. Her sickening attacks are always coming from so-called past F1 stars or journos uncannily all are from either Belgium or The Netherlands and of course South Africa. We did our research and by the look of her photo, it explains her mentality. I recon the indigenous folks in her adopted country are treated the same? It is rather sickening. We are a group of 12 Hamilton fans and ask that any fan of Hamilton refrain from PF1 and the Express and Mail as a mark of respect for Hamilton he has contributed too much to F1 to be treated with such disrespect- As a European I ask why? I am ashamed to be in the same grouping of these.

Sir Lewis in my opinion is inordinately attacked by F1 fans. People try to discredit him a lot pointing to this that or the other thing. But come on now I'm really sure what's bothering them as they are usually very quiet when others do the same. It seems Lewis is judged by a different set of rules. That being said the comment section of PF1 hardly has 6 brain cells between them. It's just a large congregation of weirdos. I'm a Lewis fan. An African at that but I don't think ethnicity should be an issue. But basically I have no shadow of a doubt that most of these called f1 fans are on some bs 99% of the time. And they think we can't see it. I think it's more of a societal issue. And people should be kind to each other regardless. But I've come to believe respect in this sport is hard to come by. Especially if you happen to be Lewis. He gets it the worst. But those who ride for Lewis ride for him. So we'll keep the positive energy going. That was long winded but I'll close by saying it's what's in you not what's on you. Nipsey Hussle!!!
