Join us as we snag an UberLyft to the port, climb onboard (after a slight communication breakdown), snag some lunch at the buffet, check out our standard interior cabin, and explore all the interior public decks... huzzah!!
Phase five of MegaVacay2020 is a seven-night cruise aboard the MSC Armonia out of Miami! We sailed February 17-24, 2020 with stops in Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, and Ocean Cay. So far, we've completed a week at DisneyWorld as well as 13 days of cruising aboard the Mariner Of The Seas, Grand Celebration, and Carnival Sunrise... and we're ready for more fun. What's next on the mega vacay agenda after this sailing? One MORE sailing on a brand new cruise line for us!

How is it that you were flagged as media? Did they match your Carnival status? Pro cruiser tip: use the showers in the fitness centre or spa. They're talller, wider and huge compared to the stateroom shower and you save time because you both can get ready at the same time!

My most valuable tip for MSC cruisers is keep an eye on charges made to your onboard account and be prepared to dispute unauthorized charges.
We usually reach out to the cruise line just to let them know we'll be filming onboard, but we'd never gotten quite this level of welcome before, ha ha... We did match our Carnival Diamond level into MSC Gold level, which is as high as they'll match these days. If we had sailed them probably a year ago, they used to match into their top tier. Dang!!

So many people had a lot of bad to say about Armonia since her move to Florida from Europe. I've been on her numerous times in Europe when she used to sail in the Eastern Med, I really enjoyed it! Nice, small ship and I always found the food amazing... then again, I'm European, and their food does cater to Europeans that bit more I must say.
Ian O'Reilly I have heard the same things. My close friends sailed her last year with a party of 15 and they all were pretty disappointed with the food and entertainment! I am really curious to hear what they have to say. I have always wanted to try MSC
I like the space in the cabin - lots of mirrors and illusions of space but I really like it
The mirrors are a good idea to help the small space, but holy moly... sometimes I see more of myself than I need to see!! :P ~Jay

I love msc....I was on this ship...the ship is ok...she is oldest ship in the fleet....I book trip for later on ( 2021)....the seaside is great ship...
Yes, we thought the Armonia would be a fantastic introduction to MSC since we prefer small to mid-size ships, and we loved it! We have our eyes on the Divina next possibly, but we definitely want to work our way up to some of their larger ships!! :D

Oeh I love the Armonia! We sailed her in 2017 out of Havana, Cuba. The ship first stayed in Havana for a couple of days and then we went to Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Mexico. It was one of our favorite ships and cruises. I see there have been some changes, in our times there weren't any Americans on board, mostly people from Europe. Greetings from Amsterdam 💐
We had such fun on the Armonia! The majority language onboard for our sailing was French, oddly enough!! :D

If you're into smaller ships like Carnival's Fantasy-class, this would probably be right up your alley. But it's definitely a more international vibe!! :D

So far very different than what others have posted...seems a little more personable and smaller and reasonable. It may not be those big brand new ships....but we don’t all need those big new ships.
We loved the overall size and feel of this ship! So cozy and friendly, and the staff was beyond amazing!! :D
Been waiting for this cruise to be posted. Pam and daughter went a few weeks after you did on this ship. I am excited to see your vlogs on this cruise because both of them are technically handicapped when it comes to doing any video so I got very few pics or vids. Plus we would like to see what your rating was for this ship. It was scheduled to come to Tampa in the fall of this year and I think its still on schedule to do that. We will be booking a cruise out of Tampa so I can at least try MSC before we book the Divina.
It definitely gave us Carnival Fantasy-class vibes, but with a more international audience and appeal, but we loved our first sailing with MSC!! :D
Scotch or Bourbon with a cigar, at least that's what my husband has. He does miss the cigar "bars"

No, not that we saw. The buffet was the only option they mentioned. But they did have quite a few dining room lunches on other days during the cruise, which was cool!!

We had looked at the square footage beforehand and saw that it was supposed to be significantly smaller, ha ha... but it didn't feel drastically small, which was odd. Looking at the square footage of the Mardi Gras standard interiors, we should be in for something similar in November, if she sails!! :P

Finally! Perfect for breakfast. Like the ship so far. Cabin setting is really nice although closet (hanging) space seems little. Better than fantasy class ship on Carnival (with the sad little table on a corner). Loved your (J) unhealthy lunch selection, it did look good.
We knew the cabin would be a good bit smaller than what we were used to, but we were surprised at how it didn't feel cramped!!
Honestly wasn't in a good mood but watching this vlog made me feel a little better

Funny enough, we've never asked and never really used the slippers. I know they wash the robes for re-use, but I can't imagine they'd want those slippers back after someone's feet were all in them, ha ha... hmmm... :P

We did match our Carnival Diamond level into MSC Gold level, which is as high as they'll match these days. If we had sailed them probably a year ago, they used to match into their top tier. Dang!!
If I add fantastica package does that pay for all the food or is that included in the all access WiFi and unlimited drinks
The only real food-related benefit of Fantastica over Bella was free delivery of room service, though some of the food items still came at a cost.

Did msc honor y’all carnival status. We have came real close to sailing several times. They supposedly the only line that will honor another lines status. O and do they already put Pringle’s in the fridge on Msc lol
