  • 2014 Audi Q7 s line had water on driver side floor and passenger side floor. When accelerating water would come from under glove compartment. Also when going around turns water would go on driver and passenger side.

Awesome post! Thank you. You are the only guy on here that bothered to tell us that there is a clamp holding the rubber tube. Got it off, and only 4 ounces or so was there. Bummer of it is, my issue isn't coming from this hose. So, I had already tried the clogged grommet on the drivers side wheel well. I had the tire off anyways so I checked that one while I was in there. Appreciate your video, now back to troubleshooting though. Oh, and only my drivers side (left side in America) has the wet floor board.

Thanks a lot for watching and reaching out to me. I had a issue with my wet floor on the left (driver) side and the right (passenger) side front for months. I thought it was the rubber in the wheel wells but I removed them completely. I live in the south so I don’t have a issue with snow or ice. I have a lot of trees around my house, so I thought that was the issue but it was the a/c condenser tube. If you don’t stick a rod through the tube, it will not open to the outside of the car. I think it’s the heat from the exhaust manifold making the rubber tube stick together. Best of luck. I will post my other video with the rubbers removed in the wheel well.

Thanks a lot. I’m a mechanic but a ton of these video’s do not explain all the steps well. Glad I was able to help.

A mild cleaner or solvent through the drain line to get rid of the mold is prudent.

Having exactly this same problem year after year. BUNCH of others post same videos. Dealership asking $1,400 just to clean it! A joke!!! I wonder how come nobody has made a class-action against this problem?! Clearly a manufacturer's defect. No other car I owed had this problem (I had 17 cars in the past). If anyone knows of any ongoing class-action, ping me - I will gladly join.

I have a 2018 Q7. I never used the carpet that I accidentally ended up opening the cover for the battery compartment and found a bunch of water. At the bottom of the tray. See no damage to the battery. Soaked everything up with a towel. That was yesterday, and today I see a little bit of water in the bottom. Curious, I was feeling the rubber cushion under carpet and see that it is very wet. I tried soaking it up with the towel, but I could only do little. I will go back to the AC drain and see what I can do.

I have a 2015 Q7, and have the same issue for the condensation hitting my foot on turns while driving. Is there a drain hose for both sides, or is it just the one on the passenger side under the gloce box?

It’s only under the glove box. When you take that hose off, it’s going to have a lot of water come out.

Can this be a problem with the ac not working water is spilling out from each side and my ac is barely blowing maybe cause it’s clogged really bad

Yeah it most likely would. It actually holds a lot of water.

Hi! May I ask what is the tool name to remove the clamp? Do you have a link to buy it? I am in a trouble removing the clamp. Thank you very much!

Sorry for the late reply but the clamp is facing downward towards the floor. If you tried to squeeze the clamp a few times, you may have moved or twisted the clamp side ways. There is a piece plastic that sticks out above the rubber hose at the very top. The clamp is probably stuck under the plastic on one side. The best tool I found to use is a pair of needle nose grip pliers. They can lock on to the clip and hold it open easier. Hope this helps you.

I noticed that everyone has it on the right side, but I have it on the driver's side, there is no video for the driver's side how to do it
