You are so welcome! Thank you for watching Charissa!
I love the new strip every month. An hour after I watch the video, my strip is done and I get a little sad realizing I have to wait a WHOLE MONTH till the next strip!! This is my favorite calendar blanket of all. 💕💕💕
I love the speed of this one! This project encourages me to get my other WIPs done since it doesn't take too long 😁
I’m not even making the blanket this year but still watch every video 😂❤️
Hi Alice! Thank you for watching 😊
I am having so muh fun with this...since I knew this wuld not be finished till December, I started with Christmas colors...each strip alternating with the colors...willbe a nice Christmas blankert when done...
You'll have a Christmas blanket finished just in time for Christmas decorating - great foresight!!
You're amazing, I never get tire of watching you, I really enjoy all your projects
Thank you so much Elizabeth!
The little windows are so cute!!

Great minds think alike Cynthia! I was considering doing that for my 18" dolls!
Best Fridays of the month. Look forward to the new pattern
Hi Patty! Thank you 😊
I have really enjoyed this blanket so far, it will be a little sad to seeing it coming to an end, but have it booked marked to do more, looking forward to see what more wonderful projects you have in store for the CAL for next year. Thank you Jayda for sharing this project journey with us. 🤗🤗❤️❤️

Lovely stitch. Thanks Jayda and Mr In Stitches!
Thank you Carlene! 😊
I haven’t made one of your calendar blankets yet ,I always say I Will .If there is one in 2022 then I will definitely be making one .I really enjoy watching your tutorials as you both make me smile, and I have made quite a few items by following your tutorials (my pattern reading is not great ) so thank you
Hi Lynn! Thank you so much for watching 😊
I really didn't enjoy working on October's pattern as it was a bit too complex for me. I completed that pattern during the first week in November . But this month's pattern is the total opposite. I didn't even have to write or memorize anything. What a relief. But I'm glad I took up the challenge to do this blanket. Its my first blanket. If I had to do it again, I probably would not use all those colours. I matched all the colours you used.... Although you never told us to do so. It's a bit too busy... Like Carnival. Although I'm from a carnival country... Trinidad 🎭. Keep up the great work. I love your channel
Hi Sarah, a big hello from Canada! With our Calendar Blanket projects we always want people to have the freedom to use their colours of their own choosing, especially since yarn and colour availability can really vary from place to place. I usually use our CALs as an opportunity to work through my stash of yarns 😁 Thank you so much for crocheting along with us this year! 💗
Hi from Australia, I’m awake at 12:30 am Saturday waiting for this to go up :) so excited
Hi Zabrina!
I love how the blanket is turning out! You keep it fun and interesting with a new stich. Thank you
Thank you Michelle 😊
Omg just getting started on November. I'm hooked on persian squares lol.
Hi Mary!

Hi Teresa! Thank you for watching 😊
@@JaydaInStitches
Your so very welcome ❤️🌹
We’re coming to the end of this year’s blanket. I think my blanket is looking very pretty! This month’s strip looks simple, so it won’t confuse me. (I’m easily confused!) Thank you so much for these patterns, Jayda!! You’re the BEST!!!
Hi Janet! Nearly the end! I know I say it every year...but where did the time go?!
loved doing my blanket it took the october one tested me. but i got there. i love the blankets. i broughted 2 on together. Cant wait to see them finished
I really love this pattern as I can only crochet a few rows at a time because of my arthritis it is a easy pattern to remember when I pick it up again so glad that you will be doing the December pattern early so I can try to get it finished by Christmas I appreciate your kindness your tutorials and you are a fabulous teacher and I have made so many of your patterns I am so grateful to you God bless you and your husband
Hi Mary! Thank you so much for watching 💗
What a wonderful stitch!
There is usually a blanket every year. So we hope so
@@charlenecolyn5395 I wanted to do double the amount of strips for this year's one, then I was going for two blankets but now I think I frog the unsused one for the next year blanket.
Do you have a. Written pattern for all years strips..love your tutorials....listen regularly
yes, i feel exactly the same. Hope she does one next year.
@@lelajeska-roff3808 They are available for sale in her Etsy shop.
What a sweet little stitch, 😢 as it is the November row, we are nearly finished the blanket. Smiles in excitement for 2022 blanket. Thank you Jayda xxx
Hi Lorraine! A mile a minute...made the year go by just as fast!
Loved this month. I think it’s my favorite!
Wonderful! Thank you for watching Effie 😊
This is an awesome motif... easy enough for a beginner and interesting enough for experienced crocheters (I fall somewhere in between.) I am currently making three projects with this year's blanket sampler stitches, a set of bookmarks, a larger throw (78 rows) and a smaller blanket (50 rows.) Also running out of yarn, so the last couple of months have veered from my original color plan, and it STILL looks good! But it's bitter-sweet that there is only one more month: good to finish a WIP but sad that is almost over. Looking forward to next year!!
Hi Robin! It's hard to believe we're nearly finished another year-long CAL!
I’ve been keeping up so well this year except for last month. I’m still stuck on finishing that one. I found it challenging but I love it. This one looks easy and I can’t wait to get October strip finished so I can get started on this one. I hate that I’ve fallen behind. I have been very sick, thankfully not Covid, but I haven’t been able to crochet in the last 15 days. I can’t wait to see the border for this blanket! I used colors for each month that I thought matched the month. So last month was black and orange and will have a purple border for Halloween, and this month will be the colors of autumn, so I’m quite anxious to get started on this month’s. Then for December, it’s going to be variegated red, green and white yarn. I’m so excited to have it done! Thank you so much! This will be the first blanket that I’ve made for myself.
Hi Katie! I hope you're feeling better, it was great to see you in the Chat today 💗 The videos aren't going anywhere, so don't feel rushed to finish 😊
@@JaydaInStitches thank you! I worked hard on my October strip last night and I’m almost done attaching it to the blanket. It’s a Halloween themed strip. Can’t wait to get started on this one because it looks really easy and it should go really fast. I’m so excited to get this blanket done! I have loved doing the calendar blanket! It’s my first one that I’ve done with you and the first blanket I’ve ever made for myself! I keep making blankets for other people but not for myself. Then all I will have to do is attach all the little embellishments. Snowflakes for January, hearts for February, shamrocks for March, etc. You have been such an inspiration with this blanket! Thank you again! Yes, I’m feeling a little bit better thank you for asking!
Your blanket is beautiful. I love the colors and the stitch patterns you used. 💜
Thank you Kathy! 😊
Hi Jada what a beautiful temp blanket
I'm sure going to miss this blanket year! Loved doing it! Can't wait for December to come! Hopefully make another soon. Happy croching my friend!
Thank you! You too ReAnne!
Love love love love this pattern
Thank you Mary 💗
Yippppp, I just checked for this yesterday thinking I had missed it somehow but no It came a day before my birthday thanks for the present🥰
Happy Birthday! 💗
I love watching your videos and look forward to every new episode for the mam. I am making a blanket for my husband and my son in law. Thank you for your commitment every month.
Hi Daphne! Thank you so much for watching 😊
Love this stitch!!! Everytime I see a new stitch come out I realize just how far behind I am I'm still stuck in July for the 3 I have in progress
* giggle * I think the last half of years go faster than the first half!
@@JaydaInStitches always!!! Lol
Jayda, thank you so much for this DARLING and easy stitch! Your enthusiasm and personality make crochet so fun! I think this stitch would look great in a vest or tabard. Wonder how I would do that....
Hi Susan, I agree! I also think it would be nice for some projects for the men in our lives 😊
Very pretty stitch Jayda! The blanket is looking lovely! Happy Friday!🌸🌺💞
Thank you Thea, Happy Friday to you too! 😊
This is by far the easiest stitch in this mmam blanket I love it I couldn’t get September or October so I’m going to do 2 more of November and then December thanks jayda this is my very first mmam blanket and I’m so please with it 😃
Hi Diana! That works just as well! 💗
Lovely blanket it will be! 💜💙🧶💛🧡❤ And the music in the begining... I love it and it makes me happy, but then again melancholy! Is it only me? 🎶💘💔
* giggle * I dance around the room every time I hear that tune...but sad because we know it's over soon? (goodness me that rhymed!)
My favourite strip. November 💙
Hi Nina, thank you!
I finished my MAM Blanket a couple of weeks ago. I was looking for another project - want to make my Niece a housewarming gift. I love this stitch pattern and how quickly it works up, so I am going to make her an afghan with just this stitch.
Hi Leigh Ann! Great idea...and it'll come together quick...which is also great * giggle *
I think I'll start one next year! I've been watching since January!
Ty, it is turning out so beautiful.

Another lovely strip. This looks like it will be quite quick - crochet slowly to make it last longer? On list to do for Sunday to relax. Thanks Jayda 💕
* giggle * Hi Caroline! I try to crochet slowly to relax, but then I get excited at how it looks and I speed up!
I especially love this skyscraper stitch!!! 😀😀‼️. Have a great month!!!😀😀‼️🌈🌈 !!!!
Hi Princess Frances! Doesn't it look like those old art nouveau sky scraper facades from the 40's?!

Hi Kelsie! Thank you for watching 😊
Pretty stitch Jayda 🥰 love it 💞
Thank you! 😊
I just wanted to tell you that I did find my patterns and the start of my blanket. And I've got several of them made now (strips that is) I just have to put all the strips together and get caught up. But I just wanted you to know that I did find them
Hi Ruth, that's great! Way to finish off 2021 on top of things 😁
I can believe we only have 1 left! Excited for the border too! Love this stitch!
Me too!! WHERE did this year go? Seriously... * looks under the pillows and behind the door *
Ooooh I like it! Do you happen to know what multiple one should use to make an entire blanket with this stitch?
Hi Merlijn! * does some quick brain math *...multiples of 4 plus 5 on the end 😊
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you so much!!!
What a beautiful blanket!
Hi Brenda! Thank you for watching 😊
Wow I can't belive its almost Hanukkah 🕎✡didn't the year just start can wait to see the pattern/ theme for next year keep up the creativity 👏 love it💜
I feel like I JUST got used to writing 2021. Is that just me?!!
@@JaydaInStitches no lol same the year went by so fast! Hope 2022and half of 2023 goes by fast (graduating 12th grade next year well in 2023)
Ugh! I am so very far behind. I just started this one today. I am on my third strip and will attach these soon and then make more. I am still making 16 and was all caught up until I got covid in August. Ugh, again. I have two blankets that are nearly complete. I am still making the main strip for these as far as I can but have run out of my border color for August. I think I will do the brick stitch border that way I can use three colors in order to tie in t all the colors together....white, Grey and black unless I change my mind in a couple of days. I hope to have at least 4 to 6 of these completely done by Christmas! 😁 Thank you Institches Family! I am having fun even in the rush! I do really like this stitch pattern of windows.
Hi! We hope you're feeling better 💗 It's hard not to feel rushed when there's a deadline looming, but I hope you can at least put your feet up and enjoy crocheting 😊
@@JaydaInStitches thank you. Yes, ma'am. I am still having trouble breathing at times. I have been staying at a hotel for a couple of nights every couple of weeks. That has helped tremendously. I have started my first December strip and got half way done before I had to go to work. Hopefully, I can do lots more after work tomorrow.
Thank you I'm learning but looks pretty
Thank you for watching Racheal 😊
I can' believe we only have 1 strip left! How can we be this close to the end of the year already!
I know! I can't believe it either!
Can’t wait for the border!
I can't believe we're nearly there!
I wish I was able to follow along with this mmam from the beginning; it's lovely and it looks like a lot of fun!
Maybe I can follow along with the '22 blanket.
Hi Caren! This blanket project will still be up here on our channel, so if you ever want to give it a whirl, please feel free to!
Man !!! Do I need to catch up !! So pretty 😍 💗
November already! I know!
This was one of my favorite strips of the blanket! I'm making a sparkly black scarf out of this now. Just finished the first strip. Trying to determine how many wide I want to make it. 2, maybe 3? I'll put the border on this one first to help judge how wide.
Oooooh! Love it. That's going to be tres chic 😁
Gorgeous!
Hi Sandy! 💗
Hi, this stitch is so lovely to do. So sad to think that there is only one more month to go. Can’t wait for that one & border. Are you going to do another one next year? Hope so! Thank you very much xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Greetings from a cold UK🧶🧶🧶🧶🌬
We're so happy to know you enjoyed this year's project...I wonder what will be new in 2022? 😉
Just finished my November strip, it looks lovely. Can not wait for December pattern!! Thank you so very much. Xx🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
Desde España me encanta todo lo que haces !!!!!!!💝
Hi Teresa! Thank you for watching 😊
How cute! How easy (high-rise stitch)! I can't see the chain 2 in the first joining corner. Could you please clarify for me?
Yes, you have to chain 2 in corners but she forgot and only chained 1 and added a pop up note saying to chain 1, meaning chain 1 more, in that corner. 🤗🌟
@@blossomsantiago1084 Thank you! I can do this. I've only been doing for the last 10 months🙃🙂 again, thanks!
This one is so fast and easy.
Fast and Easy, a true MAM!
Hola que bonita presentación 🌻
Thank you for watching Maria 😊
Thanks for sharing ..
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching Joan 😊
If you're feeling ambitious/masochistic, do a granny square for each week next year and make a throw or cardigan.
Or do a granny a day for a wildly pixilated blanket (did that in 2016...still one of my favourites!!)
YAY!!!!!! My weekend project!!!! Thank you Jayda!!!!
Hi Sharon!! 💗
Maybe for a short video you could give us the numbers for each months pattern if we want to make a blanket or curtains etc. Thanks for everything
Hi Carla! Thank you for the suggestion! 😊
I'm so far behind. Working on September strip now
No rush Bradley! The videos aren't going anywhere, enjoy the project 😊
You know it seems like a long time from 1 strip to another, but we just did November strip. This year really has fliwn.
I am sorry my spelling is getting bad. It should of been flown.
Hi Win! I always feel like the second half of the year goes faster somehow!
Mine is in no way as wide as yours. Gonna have to add more stripes to it. Followed instructions to the letter, oh well!
My blankets are always narrower than Jayda’s blankets look. I think Jayda is just so delicately small, things just look huge compared to her.
🤣
? I've been wanting to ask at the end of a row you say chain one or two or three then turn does it matter of you turn then chain one or two or three
Hi Karen, the turning chains in our MMAM series at the end of each row count as a DC stitch. So together, the chains must be the same height as a DC. Sometimes, depending on the pattern, there are additional chains included in the turning because we need a DC stitch and also to make a space next to it 😊
HI DID YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO GIVE US DECEMBER EARLY ? ? ? THAN WOULD BE SO GREAT! ! ! THANK YOU
I did! 💗
Hey Jaydah. What if I really like a pattern that we did, can I make a larger item in that same stitch? What’s the figure I use for this months stitch? Can I measure anc calculate foundation chains and go from there. I was thinking about making a blanket
Hi! Yes, the MMAM patterns can all be extended, however they're all a little different. I'll have to think through this one (I don't know it off hand), could you message us at our Etsy shop to remind me and I'll get back to you there 💗
I just love this blanket however when I do my 78 rows my strip always about a foot shorter than my blanket and I keep having to add rows to make it work, guess my crocheting isn’t consistent
Hi Brenda, tension can vary with some of these strips, but the join as you go will always sort it out by shrinking or stretching it to fit with it's neighour 😊
Does anyone know how I can get yarn that's available online only via Michaels Canada and have it shipped to me in the U.S.? Are there any "middlemen" that provide this service? Thanks in advance.
I’m having a little issue. The last 3 strips I’ve done( September, October and November) are shorter than the rest even though I’ve done 78 rows. When I hold it up everything is straight across except the last 3 rows. WhT is happening? I didn’t even notice until after I had them together. Help!!
Hi Wendy! Make sure you used the same hook size as the other strips (sometimes I accidentally pick up the wrong hook!) and if the counts are correct, the hook was the right size and everything still worked out a little shorter (even after joining) then blocking it will sort out any odd sizing issues that might remain :)
Thanks!
Hi Terrie, thank you SO MUCH for the Super Thanks! We really appreciate it 💗💗💗
How much yarn will we need for border?
Hi Gloria, depending on how large you want to make it, between 120 & 250 y🧶 😊
This has been a fascinating project but one thing I'm kind of curious some of my panels are not exactly even the same tension the same number stitches etc.., but there are some that appear longer thanothers. how would I go about fixing this without having to undo the "short" panels to Make them look even?
Did you join the panels yet? Usually that will even them out! I'm sure it will work out fine!
Hi! All strips should have the same number of rows and the tension may differ between some, but the Join-As-You-Go sorts it all out magically 😊
Where did you get the darning needle, with loop on the end?
Hi Carolyn, that's a wool needle, they usually come in sets of 3 and I found mine at a department store around 20 years ago (yes 20 years! Talk about good quality!) We did a video on places you can find them here: ruclips.net/video/0EWXaWWffxc/видео.html
🥇
💗
What is the biggest stitch?
Of this blanket? They're technically all the same height because we're using Double Crochet 😁
What are the dimensions of your blanket now,Jayda?
Hi Carmel! Mine is about 48 x 60 so far, but that's before December, the border and blocking 😊
@@JaydaInStitches Thanks very much Jayda/ really enjoy your videos, play them most night, the blanket is turning out awesome, you're simply the best👍👍👍🐏🙏🐏🐏🙏🙏
