    I've learned to always - ALWAYS - check the tightness of screws and fasteners in new devices/equipment.

    That plug on neutral was a fantastic design Schneider Electric came up with, it makes the panel very clean looking not having all those coiled neutrals coming off breakers, not to mention the neutral terminal blocks don't get filled up.

    Good info! I've done a few QO panels lately and I learned something I never knew before. The QO breakers work on (2) coils to trigger the trip function. The 2 coils generate a stronger magnetic field to facilitate the trip. THAT I did not know before.

    • @abrelectric
      @abrelectric  Год назад +1

      I didn't know that either. What's the upside to 2 coils?

    It's probably a good idea to torque down all screws to specs on all panels whether or not it's a panel in the recall or not. I always torque all bolts and screws down on any panel, regardless of the brand when I take it out of the box.

    There is also the same issue on the left side of the panel where the plug-in neutral connects to the neutral bus bar.

    Another hilarious one is LOOSE line posts on PV AC disconnects. I see it now and then, the line posts are screwed to the blades of the switch, and often arrive loose.

      @@abrelectric if that its the case may i install just to upgrade my current 100 amp panel [ 60 yrs old or older]. Just the panel for 200 amp keep it mind i will reaming using the same circuit that I have already. Reasom to change bc the panel door pines are broken and panel its too old to get a new one wiring its a whole mess... od course if i plan to use later on i will replace meter and entrance wiring etc... but having 100 amp meter and 100 amp breaker means i will able to upgrade 200amp panel just upgrade panel not intent at all to use extra circuits.. for instance 100 amp 30 space actually it can hold more ciurcuits using tandem breaker ?? So in Theory you can upgrade just the panel...
