Hilarious, reminds me when my parents used to take us to the beach living in Florida, we are Irish, red heads and blondes, our mother was slathering us up with baby oil and iodine. I remember afterwards, a couple of days of hell my skin would have a little itch and when I scratched the whole arm of skin peeled right off, and that's no exaggeration. I can laugh about it now.
I remember feeling like an alpha snake because I also shed my skin … often! … throughout the summer. And winter. And spring and fall. *But that’s it.*

I honestly can't claim to know how the sun hits in the Western countries. But here in Africa- the sun is everyone's enemy. In South Africa, it is not uncommon to see a black person buying sunscreen, I can't speak for the rest of the continent. I got sunburn two summers back at a place I was unfamiliar with. I thought just wearing a cap would help me... i had to hide indoors at home for a few days after that fateful day until my face recovered enough.
