You deserve a like.. this tutorial is so good.. after watching it, i was able to open up my horiRap4 and swap around a few buttons, working perfectly. It didn't even take half as long as the length of this video. GGs, TY, and keep well.
For a PS3/PS4 arcade stick, I recommend a black crown lever bat-top joystick, four multicolored sanwa buttons to represent the colors of the X, square, circle and triangle buttons and four black/dark gray sanwa buttons to represent the colors of the L1, L2, R1 and R2 buttons.
Taken GTs well day 1 if you count the tension on the spring to be too loose. I immediately put a heavier tension spring. Maybe a month later I switched over to a custom build using the Brook fighting board PCB.
Taken GTs other than that, the cable compartment door is a piece of crap. That doesn't take away from the actual stick. I think it has good weight and foot print. I'd still be using it if I didn't like my custom build so much. Plus if you go to any tournament you still that Hori or TE sticks. So that has to be something. If it was garbage you wouldn't see it out there as much right?
Benjamin Lee with the exception of hitboxes most face buttons are 30 mm. So Sanwa, Samitsue, and most other brands are pretty similar. The only real difference is the length and the leg orientation. Screw or snap-it are universal too.
Hey man recently just saw this video since I bough this stick and want to mod it, just had a few questions. I was wondering if taking of the sticker really voids the warranty and also what are the chances of even needing to have a valid warranty, are sticks in general pretty easy to fix or easily broken?
hi1234258 the sticker says void if removed. Well I never removed it so I should be good. The only thing that that needs to work is the PCB. Just about every thing else can be replaced easily and pretty cheap too.
hi1234258 with normal use the stick will probably outlast the system it's built for. I know plenty of people who pick their sticks up by the actual stick part and they still use it no problem. In general the first part you may have to replace is the micro switches for the stick itself. They can be replaced individually, but it's easier and only a tad bit more to just replace them all at once.
@@metalmattchew oh okay. So if I were to get an arcade stick like that, what's the best way to replace the buttons without damaging/removing the warranty sticker?
it's looks square am barely getting into arcade sticks that's why ask i have the same arcade stick is my first I wanna learn how to play with Arcade stick i know that these AC plays in square I like square to my liking

simple tutorial that takes two minutes but ended up being a 13 min video

Thank you so much, my stick is coming this week and some nice red and blue buttons to go with it, so Happy
Thanks for the walkthrough man. Great work.
Hey man appreciate this tutorial a bunch!
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the tutorial.
No problem
great video man, good job
The top of my button came out how do i put it back in place?
how long did the stick last until you had the 1st problem?

Matt Hamidy im not to worried about that nothing a little practice couldn't fix.

i didnt get a good look at it but are you able to swap the gate of the stick?
Yes, it's an 8 way gate. It comes with a 4 way. Unlike JLF the Hayabusa sticks are screw on.
If you look at the stick mod video, it shows a better view of the gate.
Where did you buy these buttons please ?
Focusattack.com is the only one I've ever dealt with, but there is also Canadianjoystick, paridisearcadeshop, arcadeshop, just to name a few.
Matt Hamidy thank you ;)
What does void the warranty mean?
Won't be able to go to the manufacturer for a refund or replacement

@@masterofsaiyans1072 yes that is the question. Take it stock or customize to suit your personal taste. Can't do both.
what size are the 8 buttons? 30mm??
Yes they are 30mm. In fact most face buttons are 30mm. The only real exception is on HitBoxes. Also both Screw and Snap buttons will work.
Geez get to the point and stop repeatedly talking in circles
Yeah, but you still watched it.
+Matt Hamidy nope...gave up after about 2 mins of retarded English
+Q Machado that's quay quay na mean yo?
+Q Machado most comments you've ever gotten on a video.. adios pecker
+Matt Hamidy wrong country... trailer park scout
FocusAttack sells plexi kits for the rap4 now to change your artwork I think they are 15 bucks
Theres also tek-innovations but FocusAttack plexis are cool too
Thanks. I have the same stick and I got a really good deal on it. Sadly it was the silent version and the buttons on it fucking sucked!

It comes with a square gate. The gate I bought has 8 points. It may be slightly hard to see on camera.
+Matt Hamidy thanks bro
