Good Job- I was In when we transitioned from C-Rats to MREs ( Meals Rejected by Ethiopians) My Vietnam Vet Sargent taught me to make a stove out of a “B-12” unit can with my P-38. Dig a small trench and light a heat tab under your canteen cup. This was considered only in a “safe” area . Otherwise, you just ate it all cold. 193rd Inf. Bgde- Panama

    Superb work as always.
Being a Brit, I really wanted to buy the British Army Crusader system but its just too damn fashionable right now, so the price has skyrocketed.
Instead I bought an equivalent (and vastly cheaper) Dutch system which is literally 25% of the cost. Its basically the same bottle and nested cup, but with different dimensions, and for a fraction of the price. It does not however come with a cook stand....
Thanks to you I will make one.

I am new to carrying a USGI genuine canteen cup alongside my Nalgene oasis canteen. I cut an old canteen to use as a bowl/insert. It's about 1/8" higher than the cup. So, no more nasty cup or burnt lips. The insert fits over the canteen upside down. This + cup&stove + fuel in a 2oz bottle, lighter, and some Taster's Choice all fits into a Field Line utility pouch. I call it my American Crusader.

Very similar to my homemade windscreen for bush pots made with the #10 can . The cut out serves as a place for the folding handles to clear ,, Please feel free to use that idea for a video .. also the Stanley boil and brew coffee press the 20 oz can leaving an end with the rim in tact and cutting it back to the wide band and picture hanger centered for a lid lift ,, it slides into the cup with a snug fit and now a metal lid for the Stanley boil and brew ,, I was inspired by your canteen cup lid to create one ,, and please feel absolutely free to make a video on it too.. a Velcro patch would be nice to go on my pack
