Espada should rephrase what he said: "Based on my conversation with coaches [Bagwell????]," they are going to play him in the OF for now? There is no worse position than 1st base. It's a futile use of him as a resource to the team. They are going to sit better and more experienced players that play the OF and continue playing the zeros that play first base. Having Abreu or Singleton, who are not major league players, PLUS a rookie from AAA in the same lineup is not ideal. I can guarantee that this was Bagwell's decision. He was barking about his preference that Loperfido should still be in Sugar Land just a few days ago. He mentioned that Loperfido needed to play "different positions and needed "reps." The team is 10 games under .500. They are bringing Loperfido up to try to cleanup mess that Bagwell created and he is trying to tell the people that are trying to clean up his mess what to do? They need to stop listening to Bagwell. He's clueless.
